Barely Noticeable, Keeps Glasses UpWhile a number of reviewers have complained that the pads are too big, I disagree. I ordered the 1.3mm pads and they're hardly noticeable. Not even my most nosey coworkers have said anything, which is a testament to this product's subtlety.Even with my oil slick of a T-zone (forehead and nose), I never have any issues with my glasses sliding down my nose. The only maintenance required is changing the pads every couple of months. All you have to do is is remove the old ones when they start producing this gummy substance, meaning the stick is losing its stick, while the nosepiece off with some rubbing alchohol, slap some new pads on, and you're good for the next two months. Gone are the days of having to readjust your glasses every 5 seconds because they have slid down your face.5Exactly what I needed!These are what I've been searching for for the past 10years. I'm Asian and lacking a raised bridge so glasses always slid down my nose. For years I tried to make trendy plastic frames work but always ended up going back to metal just for the nose pieces.I purchased these for some cheap Zenni glasses I bought for a Thailand backpacking trip and they held up for about 10 months before needing to be replaced. There were no issues in the sun or very salty water (used them on sunglasses too). Some reviews mention the thickness being an issue but if you cut them right and put them a little further back from the lens they aren't as noticable.A couple of tips:Wipe the surface of your frames and hands with alcohol and let dry before handling.Also, really press them down at application. I know normally we try to handle our glasses with care and try to avoid leaving fingerprints, that is not how these should be applied. You can always clean them after.5Good adhesion, not for sensitive skinI was really excited about getting these--I haven't had plastic rims in a long time, and have been struggling to get used to them slipping down my nose more than my old metal frames and hoped these silicone stick-ons would help. And they did--they are a little thick, but did the job on stopping my glasses from slipping down my nose. They stick well to the nose-pieces of my frames and "stick" well to my nose, preventing slippage.However, I ended up having to take them off after less than a day. Where they sat on my nose became very irritated and red--a problem I never had with the nose-pieces attached to my metal frame glasses or the naked plastic frames. I don't know if it was due to the extra "stick" causing too much friction, or some reaction to the material, but when the irritation started getting a little painful, I just took them off and took my glasses in to my eye doctor's to get adjusted for a better fit. They still slip, but not as much. And they don't hurt my nose.Fortunately, they're just thick enough to work as bumpers on the cabinets, to keep them from making so much noise when they close... so not a total waste of money.3Does the jobHandy to have around the house. I own a pair of glasses with built in nose guard that was given me bruises around the ridge of my nose. Putting a pair of these puppies on really saved the day. Immediate relief and my nose bruises are fading. I have since put them on several pairs of sunglasses as well. Now my sunglasses are felling more comfortable on my nose. Another benefit is that the glasses are almost non slip. The package instructions were easy to follow and it took me less than a minute to put these nose pads onto a pair of glasses. The manufacturer indicated the nose pads need to be replaced from time to time. I will definitely buy again. A package of should last me at least 6 months to a year.5Exactly what I was looking forAt first I was totally bummed thinking these were way too thick and visible and uncomfortable with my glasses. I followed the advice of several reviewers below and used the thin part of the butterfly (cut it off) in place of the thick nose pad part it is perfect. Nearly invisible when looking at my glasses on my face (you would have to really be looking for them to see them). I have had them on my glasses for a few days now and see no signs of them coming off. This is impressive as I wear making and run around all day sweating. When the pads starts to lose their grippiness (not onto the glasses but onto my nose), I simply run a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol over them to remove the grease and they work perfectly. I am so happy I can finally wear a cute pair of plastic frames without having to worry about pushing them back up my nose every two seconds!5OK....not perfectThey look like what everyone describe. Silicone, butterfly. kinna think...I have a very tiny asian nose....so I have problem with plastic glasses. I thought that since my nose is pretty small, order large size silicone would be perfect for me.....I cut the piece in half like every mentioned. I used the big piece. I think it is still a little bit too big for me. And for sure, it is visible for outside, but I don't care. Glasses still slip down but not as bad as before. I am happy with this product but I wish it would be more perfect than this.4Decent adhesion and just the right amount of lift to my glasses.I have bought two other kinds of GMS nose pads with varying success. These (with the butterfly adhesive) are the best so far. Obviously, they work best on black plastic/acrylic frames so that the pads are least visible. Importantly, these adhere to the nose/bridge of my glasses for 3-4 weeks, including 2-3 days/week of sweaty exercise. They provide just enough "lift" or padding to my favorite pair of glasses so that they actually sit high up on my nose where they need to and without every slipping. By the 4th week they are starting to slip considerably and need to be removed/replaced. The 10pr pack is the best way to go.5Does what I need, each pair lasts months.I got a 10 pack of these about a year ago, and I'm only about halfway through it. These nosepads are on glasses I wear all day, every day. They raise the glasses so my eyes are more centered in the lens instead of almost at the top; having a narrow nose and a love of chunky plastic frames means that's my usual situation without a little intervention. As a bonus, they stop my glasses sliding down better than any earpiece adjustment ever has. I have actually recommended these goofy little things to other people, that's how pleased I am with them.51.3mm sizeOrdered the 1.3mm (smallest size) and they turned out perfect! They fit my tiffany glasses perfect. I'm not used to wearing plastic glasses and these pads were the perfect bridge to wearing plastic glasses after 20 years of wearing wired glasses. I live in Texas, so I have to replace them monthly with the heat and sweat. But oh, so worth it! Thank you!!!5Great solution to a tricky problem.So, I'm now into progressive prescription glasses. Ugh. Because I have a fat head, it's difficult for me to find frames. After a long search, I finally found one set of frames that fit my head, looked decent and large enough to meet the progressive lense requirement. However, after I got the lenses installed I discovered that the bi-focal reading portion was just a tad low. This required me to tilt my head up to read. Not very comfortable. The frames were plastic and didn't have an adjustable nose piece. I purchased these nose pads to see if they would raise the frames just enough to work for me, and they worked perfectly. I've read other reviewers saying the adhesive didn't last long. These are "butterfly" nose pads; part is adhered to the part of the frame where the nose touches; while the other part of the nose pad wraps around the inside part of the nosepiece of the frame. The part that wraps around the inside of the frame always came loose. I just used some fine scissors and cut that part off; leaving the part still adhered to the frame that is in direct contact with your nose. I've been wearing my glasses for two months and they're still sticking. The nose pads are thin enough to not be noticed, very comfortable, and actually help to prevent the frames from sliding down my nose (added bonus).5
