Good for grip. Not for taping joints for stabilization.This is decent tape for wrapping bats, bars, etc for grip.However, it's not ideal for taping up joints.The cloth is fairly thin and very flexible, so it doesn't provide a lot of support for taping joints.Also, it doesn't stick to skin that well if you're a sweaty guy like me.I tried using it to tape up my thumb from a sprain so I can keep playing sports.The thumb is notoriously difficult to isolate and immobilize.This tape didn't work as well as the J&J tape that is thicker and less flexible.But again, if you're using it for grip or other purposes, I'm guessing it'll be better.On the plus side, it tears pretty easily by hand. 3Baseball Catcher Approved!I play hardball baseball and these are a must. I wrap my wrists and sometimes a forearm or ankle. These work great in the mud and dirt of catching. They do not stretch out and hold pressure no matter how must dirt or sweat is on them. They are very sticky so removing them can be difficult. I do use pre-wrap most of the time, but not all of the time. They will rip hair and leave some redness on your skin. But they work very well and do not rip apart or give. I'll be purchasing them again. 5Great Tape! Buy it!Great tape! I will be buying more for sure. I used it for snatches and it was fantastic. Held on way better than expected. Coming off was just a tad painful since it sticks so well. Much rather that problem than the tape not sticking, which I ve encountered. Highly recommend if your using for wrapping your wrists. 5Sticks well, comes off easilyThis is a great combination tape that all at once manages to stick to the skin really well, but come off really easily. I use it for fashion tape during shoots for outfits that don't allow for bras or that need to stay put in a certain place. 5Not Great For ClimbingGiving this an ok rating because it was not great climbing tape, to wrap fingers. It might work for taping ankles or for hands in combat sports but the adhesive was not sweat resistant enough to stay on for long climbing sessions. After an hour or so, I could pull the entire wrap off my fingers. Contrast this to Metolius tape that was so stuck on that after climbing for 4 hour sessions I dreaded having to peel it off my fingers. It was half the cost but it really does not suit that purpose. 3Pretty good, but could be stickierI use these to wrap my shin guards in soccer. Have used Mueller tape for years. That's my standard. These are the same size and general look, but the weave of the tape is a little looser, which is only a visual thing as far as I can tell. I take 1 star off because the tape isn't very sticky. It's not like it fails, but the last 1-2 inches always comes off during the game, leaving a little tongue hanging off. If conditions were wet, I'm sure they'd come all the way off. Maybe this feature would be good if I used this on my skin for an ankle wrap or the like, but if you use it on top of a sock, expect it to come off a bit. The good news is that the tape doesn't leave a residue when I take it off and taking it off is almost too easy. 4Best for sweatThicker, stronger tape with better adhesive than Mueller's current offering and the less expensive Solimo. Still easy to remove if you've been sweating, but adheres through the activity, at least for tennis and pickleball. Best we've found recently. Needed something for taping a foot for plantar fasciitis issue, and for a sore wrist. Costs more, $3.33 per 10 ft. roll, but it works. Other tapes came loose with sweat.Update. Just received our third order of this tape, after trying yet another brand. This is still the best. 5It really works as advertised!Folks, I don t think that it is often someone actually reviews something like athletic tape. However, I had to make an exception for this product, because this product is dope.Look, athletic tape is athletic tape. You hurt yourself, need support, whatever, you tape that up. Then after you are done, you rip it off, you lose any hair that was attached to it, and you spend the next two days trying to remove that gooey sticky residue from your body. Sounds about right? Well, that s athletic tape.Here s where this product differed for me. I taped up my finger because I wanted to protect it after jamming it in Brazilian Jujitsu. While I trained again, the tape stayed on and it did exactly what you d expect athletic tape to do. However, when it was time to remove it, the tape came off super easily, and it didn t leave behind any of that sticky mess or take any of my hair! That is dope!Say what? No glue to clean up after? Word y all, this tape is the dopest one I ve ever used. I bought one pack, but I m gonna pick up another, this is just too damn good to not keep on reserve! Anyway, now you know why I reviewed athletic tape! If you need some good athletic tape, pick up some of that Hamptom Adams white athletic tape. 5Hope you're not allergic.This adhesive is not hypoallergenic. I believe it is medical grade, specifically the type on clear tape used to secure the end of semi-permanent IV ends and picc lines. That happens to be the adhesive I am highly allergic to. I have blisters all over the tops of my feet and backs of my hands, much like the blisters I received from a recent hospital stay. If you are at all allergic to any sort of medical adhesive, I wouldn't suggest this.However, the support team behind this product are very kind and willing to help in any way they can. Jay of Hampton Adams took an intense interest in my allergy and plans on passing the info over to the team for further testing on the adhesive. I'm delighted to see a company with such dedication consideration for its consumers. 3Sticky Factor is Good and a little bit badThis tape is sticky... stickier then the sports tape I usually purchase in an individually wrapped package from the local Wally Land. This is a good thing because it sticks onto the ace bandages that I use. But its also a bit annoying because it oozes out a bit on the side of the roll, makes it harder to get an edge to start unrolling and leaves glue residue on your skin that you need rubbing alcohol to remove. BUT... the purpose of the tape is to hold my Ace bandage in place and the other stuff doesn't matter to me that much and I will still buy it, use it and recommend it to others in the rare chance that someone actually asks me for my preferred brand of sticky sports tape. I would include a picture but trust me, you really don't want to see a picture of my legs. 4
