SOFT - CHEWY - FULL OF FLAVOR!!These little cookies are hands down some of the best Iced Molasses cookies I have eaten - I can't ever seem to find them in my local stores - Archway is there, but these particular cookies are not, so I thought I would take a chance on getting them here. You can't beat the price!! In fact, I figured because the price was so great that they would either be old and crumbly, or the date would have expired. NOPE!! They are soft and chewy and don't expire until the last day of JUNE! The only thing that might be better is the packaging because I bought four 12 oz bags and they were simply in the box with no other protection, HOWEVER, they are no broken cookies... so the box, even thought a bit bigger which left room for the cookies to slide.. they are perfect!! I encourage anyone who likes Iced Molasses cookies to try these. They bite sized but I get 3 bites from each one anyway because a little bite goes a long way in flavor!5Just like in Amsterdam!We love these cookies. They are just like the ones we had in Amsterdam and are so good! We had been buying the ones Trader Joe's carries, but these are spicier and crispier. Perfect with coffee, tea or ice cream!5They'll make you crave them nightly!These cookies are concentrated evil. The deep chocolate flavor, the soft texture, the sprinkling of sugar on the top. I'm warning you, don't eat them. If you try one, you'll become hopelessly hooked. Craving them, joining amazon prime so you can have a new order in two days. You'll keep the remaining boxes in the freezer to keep them fresh. Eating one or two still frozen until the remainder reach room temperature. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.5Don't ship in an envelope.I had ordered two kinds of Archway Cookies: Short Bread and Molasses. They were shipped in two packages. The Short Bread in a box with "air pockets" and the Molasses in a blue and white envelope. The Short Bread made the trip fine but the Molasses ones were all "crunched" together. I recommend that you use a box for all cookies. They still taste good - just are not very attractive. Looks like Monkey Bread 'cause we have to pull them apart. Thanks for your work. Soft, chewy, tender, spice and sugar and molassas. I could eat a ton of them. But the price?? outrageous. Over $16.00 for one bag of cookies? the amount says "package of 6" or "package of 9" - that is not referring to multiple bags. Its referring to number of cookies inside the ONE bag. I don't care how good they taste, that's an insane price for one package of store-bought cookies.3Watch the dates folks... The case was only good for less than 3.5 weeks.This rating is for the product AND the date/service. Product alone- 5 stars. Expiration date and hassle- 2 stars. These are as tasty and soft as I had remembered. I have not been able to find the Raspberry Filled variation anywhere remotely local for close to 20 years. You must watch the dates on products from Amazon. The entire case was only good for about 3.5 weeks... much too short unless you just want to live off of them. I requested a replacement case and received iced oatmeal... so I called and requested a return/replacement for those since it is not what I ordered nor a favorite of mine... also available locally so the cost was ridiculous comparatively. However they were good for several months. They told me to keep them and sent out another case of the Raspberry Filled... and told me to call back if I had any issue with the date again... I received another case with the same date- at this point only being good for just shy of 3 weeks. I gave up and took the loss/win. I have been giving them to everyone that I know that grew up with them. Running and coming close to running dates has always been an issue on Amazon, but at least they try to straighten it out. I just wish it happened less.3Short dated, arrived flat as 'one cookie'As a rule, these are good cookies. That the package is so short dated and the cookies arrived all mashed together is disappointing (shipped in a large envelope, no packing material). Worth spending more in the local market for freshness and appearance.1Good flavorGood flavor but could not put them in the cookie jar ,stuck together and what wasn't stuck was pretty much broken up .WAY to messed up to put in jar ! At least until the next box arrives! You need to keep the molasses, the Dutch chocolate, and the Iced Oatmeal on stock. You run out to fast!5These should be half the price for what you get.These are awesome ginger-molasses cookies--the taste is perfect (seasoning wise!). The only drawback is that I tend to like my cookies on the crisp side and these are your typical soft cookie that a lot of folks seem to prefer out here. The flavor makes up for a lot and I just leave them out on a plate for a bit before eating them with milk and then they are perfect! But they are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for the size of it.5
