Taste good, nice quality.I've been buying this fo the last year from my local BJs Wholesale Club for $6 a jar, but a few months ago they stopped selling it and couldn't say why. The local Publix sell it, but for almost $12. Amazon has the best price I've been able to find so far, but I wish BJs would carry it again.This Almond Butter is blanched, which means it does not have the shells ground up. I don't care for the unblanched almond butter brands, due to the hard speckles shells. Taste is good as it has a small amount of sugar. I've tried the Natural one without added sugar, and it taste flat.The only bad thing is this almond butter is too thick for my liking. I end up mixing it in the blender with some liquid coconut oil to get it at a nicer consistency.4Do not order!The product (all 3) expires in a month and the plastic containers were all dented. No way can you consume these by one month. Normally this brand has no oil separation But these do. Of course no refunds are accepted, so I'm out $46.00 for 3 bad jars! Do not order!!!1Great almond butter if your looking for that peanut butter feel!Almond butter is a favorite of ours and we usually get Justin's which we felt was very good, but figured we try this product out because of the small package size, which we felt would be a nice snack for a little guy. Well, the size is great and the package opens up easily, and as fat as the product is concerned it is pretty good as well.However, I would say that you need to give it a few packs as once your taste bud adjust to the flavor you might really like it... We use to be fans of Justin's, but after trying out Barney's we will definitely not be switching back. Barney's has become our new stand-by, yet once again I must say that if your taste bud are use to another type Barney's might come off on the wrong. I do however recommend that you give it a few pack, until you get use to the flavor and consistency of the almond butter being so smooth.5FANTASTIC... Closest to Peanut Butter TasteI have tried many brands of almond butter because I can not eat peanuts. I orderedsome of this from amazon(great service btw) and i was a little concerned when i opened it because it looked almost like peanut butter. I called the company directly in California. They put the plant manager on the phone to answer my questions. I asked him why it was a different color than i was used to.(most almond butters are sort of grayish). He told me that they don't grind the skins with the almonds. Also the top grade of palm fruit oil that they use is high in cartenoids and helps to keep this product stable (not rancid) and adds to the color. Also they process this product to keep it as natural and roasted flavor filled as possible. I was impressed with the manager, the product and the company. [...]What can I say this is the BEST TASTING almond butter out there In my opinion.5The ONLY almond butter we eat!I was not a fan of almond butter. I tried many brands, but they were all the same: thick, gritty, pasty, just gross. Then my daughter was born and we soon learned about her severe peanut allergy, so peanut butter, and all other peanut products, were completely eliminated from our home. We tried Sunbutter, which is really great, but always looking for new and interesting things, we discovered Barney Butter. I never would have tried it, but since we knew she wasn't allergic to almonds, and Barney Butter is made in a completely peanut-free facility, our allergist actually recommended that we give this a try. I have to say, it's amazing. It has zero of the yucky textural issues that all of the other almond butters seem to have and it tastes amazing. We go through this stuff like crazy! It's such a healthy, safe, and delicious addition to any pantry, even if you don't have any peanut allergies, but that's a huge plus for us.5Didn't realize what I was missing until now!I first purchased/had almond butter a few months ago when I purchased the All-Natural Maranatha from Costco. Despite it being runny and the second jar separating (I actually had to put it through the food processor to re-stir - what a mess!) I thought it was good. I liked that it only contained almonds and no other ingredients. I went into somewhat of a panic when I recently couldn't find it ANYWHERE except at Jewel with a $10.99 price tag (6 oz jar I believe). No way was I spending that!I got desperate and came to Amazon to find some good almond butter, and I'm so glad I did! Barney Butter is really delicious. The taste is very nice (very peanut butter-like) and the consistency is really thick. I was used to the Maranatha drips and thought that's just the way almond butter was. It does have some additional ingredients (sugar, salt, palm oil), but I'm OK with that because the sugar and salt is minimal. The calories and nutrition information are very similar, but it seems Barney Butter has more vitamins (at least that are listed when I compare jars). It was packaged very well and arrived quickly to boot. I might try the Barney Bare next time.Yum!5Like peanut butter? Give this a try!I first tried Barney Butter by buying a few squeeze packets at my local Whole Foods and fell in love, but I found the price hard to swallow. So I headed on over to Amazon and picked up this three pack which, per jar, is a few dollars cheaper than my local WFM. The label doesn't lie, it certainly is no stir! It's very smooth and creamy, perhaps a little too creamy. My jars are so creamy that I can remove the top, turn them over, and the delicious almond butter will pour out on its own. I suspect that this extra creaminess is from the cane evaporated cane juice, but I don't care either way, it's so very tasty. If you like almonds, you'll love this. Unless of course, you like your almond butter crunchy.Tonight, my girlfriend tried this for the first time and summed up exactly how I feel about Barney Butter, to quote: It tastes just like peanut butter. That's the same thing I said the first time I ever had this and it's kept me coming back time and time again. Since buying this, I've stopped purchasing peanut butter altogether, something I'd never though would happen.If you're unsure if you'll like this, grab some of the squeeze packs and give it a try!4Not smooth, not spreadable.So I'm used to Trader Joe's almond butter, which is smooth. Really smooth. Unfortunately, I recently moved and can no longer shop there, so I decided to try this brand out, as no where around here sells affordable almond butter.I'll start with pro's:-The price. This is very genorously priced, and you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal anywhere locally.-The taste. Taste like good ole Almond Butter.Now the one con, which makes it unusable for me:-It is not smooth. This is some of the hardest almond butter I've ever dealt with. Even after stirring the oils back into it. If you plan on using this on bread, good luck. You will absolutely destroy any soft bread that you try spreading this on.I do not enjoy writing negative reviews, but I hope that this helps others. If you are expecting something that is easily spreadable, look else where.2Love My Barney ButterAlmonds are actually one of the few nuts I can tolerate, and a lot of almond butters are made in a facility with walnuts and pecans (I'm allergic). Thankfully, Barney Butter is not. It is very creamy and very delicious, and perfect for making a flourless grain free almond butter bread. Thanks for making a safe, delicious almond butter for those of us with other allergies and/or intolerances.5Yum YumI just bought a jar of this stuff on a whim last night, despite its $8 price tag and boy am I glad I did. I've never truly liked Peanut Butter, in fact I loathed it for many years...but as my tastebuds matured I learned to tolerate it once in a while with chocolate or apple slices. I've been searching for a common ground because my BF LOVES peanut butter, but only the "kid" kinds...loaded with sugar and hydrogenated oils. I like the fact that nut butters can be healthy and satisfy the appetite but I just couldn't deal with the Jif any longer. :) Well, I've found our compromise... Barney Butter is ever so slightly sweet (just enough, I think) and close enough in taste to PB that my BF likes it, yet it's missing that indefinable something that makes me dislike peanut butter so much. Plus, the Barney Butter is WAY healthier... compare the nutritional info on the jar of Barney Butter to your standard jar of Jif or Skippy. I know it isn't quite as pure as some nut butters since this still contains palm oil, BUT all of the No-Stir nut butters contain palm oil...it's a compromise I can live with if it means not having to stir anything with the consistency of cement... that just too much work for a sandwich. Anyhoo..this stuff is fabulous and I can't keep my spoon out of the jar!!! I was very glad to see the 3-pack on Amazon. I'm ordering it right now!!UPDATE: My initial enthusiasm for Barney Butter has not waned. Peanut Butter has never made it back into our house since. I use the Barney Butter in baked goodies, candies, smoothies, on toast, and on plain old spoons :). I actually buy 6 jars at a time from Amazon. LOVE IT!5
