The color is its draw to meIt's gardening season, so I'm at risk of my Subaru keyless-entry fob falling out of my pocket while I'm raking, shoveling and sawing. Chances of finding a black fob amidst the leaves and loose dirt are almost nil, so I braided a colorful lanyard onto it - an improvement, but the red jacket is even better.The jacket is a very flexible plastic; to install it just stretch the larger opening until the fob slides inside. It's a snug, tailored fit, about as compact as a jacket can be, and comfortable in the hand. The icons on the jacket's buttons are much clearer than on the fob, itself, and they're also embossed.The plastic seems durable, though I haven't had it long enough to guarantee that. It's quite possible the printed icons will wear off in time but the embossing will remain and that's all the fob had.These jackets are as much as I could hope for other than Subaru offering colored fobs in the first place. I'm unsure there is any "protective" value to them as the fobs are sturdy, but they make finding the fob much easier in the house and yard.5Improvement to 2018 Subaru Outback 3.6R Key FobA fine fit for the key fob of a 2018 Subaru Outback 3.6R. Was difficult to get on. Will also be difficult to remove if I need to get to the manual key.Primarily got this to add a little height above the "unlock car" button, and also to make it a little more difficult to accidentally press the "open back hatch" button on the key FOB when it's in my pocket with my house keys.I'm hoping that this key fob cover will solve the problem of my Subaru's back hatch accidentally opening when my house keys previously inadvertently pressed against the Subaru key fob. This has previously happened to me a few times, and when I went down to my garage the next morning I found the back hatch raised and my car battery dead.5Stopping false signals from auto remotes.These are a "must" for anyone, like me, who carry their remotes in their pockets. I was skeptical that they would prevent false signaling from the remote when another item in my pocket inadvertently pressed a button on my remote. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised that they do prevent false signals and I'm extremely thankful that I don't find my station wagon's rear door open without my knowledge. I highly recommend them.52019 Subaru Ascent compatibleJust FYI...For those of you wondering if these will fit the FOB to a 2019 Ascent, and even though it says on their compatibility chart that they don't, trust me...they do.4Other than that I had to bring my car to the dealership to put new plates on and was commented on how cool the blue one was and how it would protect ...They fit the Subaru Keyless System well, its very tight and is hard to remove. The only issue is that if you do want to use the physical key there is no hole on the other side to release the key. So you have to remove the cover which I said was very tight. The best part of these is they DO NOT interfere with the signal from fob to car. I can be far away from my Crosstrek and it still beeps. I bought a $35 cover from another seller and interfered with the signal to where I was right next to the car and it still wouldn't open until I pressed the button. No problem with these and grip is not slippery. Plus it has an opening on the top which isn't shown in pictures. And that's probably why it doesn't interfere with signal. Should have went with first instinct cause I saw these first.... get these ...much better!5
