Product Description Product Description
  • FOOT and ANKLE SUPPORT: Plantar Fasciitis, PTTD, Peroneal Tendonitis, ankle sprains and rolled ankles are caused by weakened or torn tendons. The Trilok is made from three main components that mimic your bodys natural tendons to secure your ankle and allow a safe range of motion. These straps encourage healthy arch posture, and prevent inversion and eversion.
  • CALCULATED COMPRESSION: The micro-fleece lined compression sleeve is a comfortable way to reduce swelling in the foot and ankle after an injury. Compression also improves recovery time, increasing blood flow to bring nutrients to the site of the injury.
  • PREMIUM COMFORT: The Trilok is made from soft Hypo-Allergenic materials that are breathable and low profile, rather than bulky, suffocating canvas braces. The Trilok allows for active mobility but restricts harmful movements making it perfect for sports and regaining mobility.
  • FIT and SIZING: Measure around your arch at the thickest point and compare this measurement to the size chart shown in the second image. Then measure the circumference of your leg right above your ankle and make sure this measurement is below the maximum ankle circumference. You should size up if in between sizes!
  • 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED. All our products are backed by a 30-day, money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied for any reason, contact us for a refund. Super sturdy for PTTDPreliminary review - it took a couple tries to get the hang of how this works and to get it aligned properly for maximum support. I will advise that it runs a bit small if you have chunkier calves than normal. I think I'll be okay with this, as it is giving EXCELLENT support on my interior ankle bone where no other ankle support/contraption has. It's real support. Air casts don't really do much, there's still a lot of side-to-side movement and whatnot. With this BioSkin, however, wrapping it based on the instructions (there's instructions based on how to use the wraps depending on the type of injury or weakness you're looking to support) feels VERY odd -but I'm so used to walking pronated that this isn't a surprise. Guardedly, I can say I'm walking at 85-90% pain free (on a scale of 1-10, prior to this application, it's been about 8-12 in pain level especially hiking on uneven terrain) on concrete/asphalt, the bioskin dropped it to about a 3 almost immediately. On the uneven terrain, 4-6 because the ankle's still going to roll some and it had only been on for about 20-30 mins. I'll follow up if there's changes or it falls apart or anything like that but as of now, I'll be wearing it all day, daily for at least a week and see if this tendon can finally get healed up so I can wear this less and less. 5No Pain No Limping Anymore - Thank God!!!This is my very 1st review on Amazon and I have been a customer for over 10 years. I paid full price for this Trilok Ankle Brace and I have not been promised anything for my review. However, this brace was such a lifesaver for me, I wanted to share my experience in case someone else is suffering and needs some honest input. I shattered my right ankle in 6 pieces, and completely dislocated it in a nasty fall 8 months ago. I will spare you the fear and agony and just tell you I had 3 surgeries on the ankle including placement of plates and 19 screws. One screw was left in for 3 months to immobilize the ankle so the bones could heal, then was removed in surgery. The other 18 screws are permanent. I was in a wheelchair for 6 months, then a walker and a cane. I am in my 50's and was scared that this is my life going forward: limping and being in excruciating pain since the day I fell. You see my finicky tummy does not tolerate any pain meds except for over the counter Tylenol and icing the ankle. 3 months after the last surgery, the surgeon told me I must be a big wuss because I was not supposed to be in pain any longer. Well my ankle had not gotten the memo:-) I left the doctor feeling hopeless and dejected. I had spent a small fortune on various types of braces but kept going back to wearing the clunky removal cast which enclosed my leg from knee to toe, because putting any weight on my right foot was simply unbearable without the Frankenstein cast. I was browsing Amazon and became intrigued by the Trilok Ankle Brace and decided to try it. I would try anything to get my mobility back. When it arrived, I didn't use it for 3 days because it had many straps and looked so complicated. Being in severe pain, I went to the Bioskin website to watch a video on how to use it. The video also showed how your uninjured ankle and foot is supposed to be held together by various tendons and muscles wrapping around the bones. The video showed how the Trilock imitates the functions of your natural tendons and muscles to wrap around your foot to make it feel like your own natural support system. I honestly didn't believe them but decided to try it anyway just in case. Well after strapping my foot into this brace I decided to try and stand up holding on to my husband in case I fell. To my surprise, there was NO PAIN for the 1st time in 8 months. I didn't trust it still because I have had my hopes dashed so many times. I was able to put on my sneakers and even a pair of wide flats with this brace on. After a couple of days of walking around the house with no pain, I was able to get on my stationary bike. After a few days, I felt confident enough to go for a short walk around my neighborhood ALONE for the first time in 8 months. It has been two weeks now and it is still helping and when I take it off I can actually walk short distances in the house without the brace. You never realize how much you value your feet until something happens to them. This brace is not cheap. But the Trilok has done what the Physical Therapist has not been able to do so far: I am not limping!!! And I now have hope to regaining my autonomy and mobility. I can see myself trying to drive in a couple more weeks. The Physical therapist is delighted with my progress. Whoever created this must truly care about people in pain and in my book must have been inspired from above. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Mrs. Yolette Cherubin, a real verified buyer. 5Expensive, but awesomeI have PTTD and was told to start in a boot, and then I transitioned into this brace. There is a lot involved into putting this brace on every time. Also, the first time I put it on, it was extremely tight around my arch to the point it almost felt like it was cutting circulation. My arch area measured 10.25, which fit within the measurements for a large, and it was so uncomfortable after the first time that I almost gave up on it. To be fair, I wore it for several hours, and I could have overtightened it. The next couple times I wore it a shorter time period, and made sure to keep from overtightening all the other straps. You are after all supporting the ligaments, not compressing the whole ankle. After that, now I think this brace is great. I wouldn't go out and buy it just to use for any ankle brace, but for PTTD this is perfect. I'm able to wear it for hours now and walk around without any pain at all. You get what you pay for, my only complaint is that this does cost quite a bit. All that aside, I would definitely recommend to someone with the same ailment as me. 4A miracle brace for PTTD!This brace is a miracle! My PTTD caused excruciating pain in my heel and ankle, with the pain radiating up the inside of my leg. After several less expensive braces failed to do the job, I decided to spring for the TriLok. I have a very skinny foot and ankle, and wear a small size in support hose, so I ordered the small size. Big mistake. (I wear a women's size 9-1/2 AA (very narrow) shoe and have a long arch.) The boot of the brace rubbed a sore on the top of my foot, but I could tell that if I had a larger size, this brace might work. So I ordered a medium size. Learning how to wrap the straps so that they put pressure in the right area took a few tries, but once I became more adept at handling the straps and industrial-strength velcro fasteners, you could hear my sigh of relief when I stood up and rested my weight on the affected foot. My pain level has dropped from a 10 to an occasional 1 or 2, which seems like a miracle. The brace is extremely comfortable, even if I wear it at night. I highly recommend this brace, but make sure you order the right size! 5seems to be working -updatedI have a lisfranc injury (google it) and i bought this brace primarily for the mid-foot stability it offers. although there are other braces that offer that feature the reviews on this one seemed promising. as far as I can tell it is doing what it is supposed to do, it is very easy to over tighten so it is very important to be careful when you are putting it on as it is not easy to adjust once it is on. This brace is a good brace, once you out it on it stays in place but is a little bulky in shoes. I really like it and I think it will do well in keeping my foot together but bottom line they need to come down on their price point... $70 for any ankle brace is too steep.-update: I have been wearing this for a couple weeks now and other than the time it takes me to put it on its great, I never have to adjust it and it has been helping me tremendously. I was on crutches with a boot and this thing has allowed me to toss the boot and go to a cane (with doctors permission of course) if your looking for a long term ankle brace suck it up and pay the money for the best. 4Best brace I tried for PTTDSo, I have PTTD, and this brace is awesome. For the record, and this is important: you don't need to use the third set of "stabilizing" straps if you have PTTD. You can just use the neoprene sleeve thing and the white wrap thing. Using just these two has a bunch of advantages:-- You can easily adjust the tension on the white trilok strap, even when your foot is in a shoe, without dismantling anything-- You don't have constant stabilization of your ankle, atrophing more stuff that you then later have to build up in PT-- Faster on and offI used it this way and handled my PTTD with it just fine. I also tried many braces; I feel this one worked the best by a good margin. 5Wrong Size, but No Returns! These braces seem decent, but the size I ordered is too big. I read some suggestions that said to size up for wide feet or when experiencing swelling, but that was poor advice because these are too big and do not provide any support. I d rather stick with what I already have, but they re not even eligible for return. I wish I would have seen the negative reviews regarding returns before I ordered! A lot of money wasted on 2 of these... **EDITED TO ADD** All of these responses from BioSkin, saying to contact them for the refund, IT DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK! I was denied a refund because they said they couldn't find my order # and I must have went through a different seller! When it clearly says "bioskin and fulfilled by amazon." 3This Is My Second OneWhat's better than one TriLok ankle brace? Why two of course. When I was a kid in high school 50 years ago I ruined both of my ankles playing basketball. I didn't learn from having only one serious injury, I had to learn the hard way by having two serious sprains/fractures to each ankle. When I was summoned for the Vietnam draft the examining physician took a look at my papers, ordered several x-rays, and pronounced me unfit for duty. He told me that the U.S.Army didn't want to pay me disability for the rest of my life -- assuming I survived combat in Vietnam. After having had two left ankle osteotomies complete with pins, scews, and cadaver tendon replacements, it appeared that the Army doc made the right call. Recently I began having severe pain in my left peroneal tendons and was worried that I would have to have them replaced again. At age 68 I remembered how hard it was to recover from the second surgery and rehab so I sought out a different podiatrist this time. He injected me five times with cortisone and handed me this TriLok brace to try on.It took me a while to master putting it on but the immediate result of doing so was a feeling of complete support. This brace is designed not only to stabilize the foot but also to take the strain off the injured tendons. Just last week I injured the tendons on my right ankle (I will never learn) and saw him once again. Same treatment, same prescribed brace, and now I own two. It will take a month of constant use for the tendons to calm down but the pain is gone and I feel like I'm on the road to recovery -- all for the sum of $68.00 and a visit to my friendly podiatrist. That's a far cry from a third complicated surgery, three months in a hard cast and then a boot, followed by three months of difficult and painful rehab. This is the real deal! I looked at the other braces and quickly realized that none of the others offered the same construction and support. Rather than order an inferior product (for less money) and ending up returning it, I decided to stick with the TriLok. Avoiding severe pain and knowing that your injuries are properly supported goes a long way to having confidence in your recovery. 5An exceptional braceI originally bought this for my left foot, I had pretty severe posterior tibial tendonitis so my doctor put me in a walking cast for 6 weeks and now I've been advised to use an ankle brace. This brace has worked for me by supporting my arch and taking pressure off my healing posterior tibial tendon. During my recovery process however, I developed a sore spot on the back of my right heel (acute achilles tendonitis) and so I repurchased this product for that problem and it definitely worked for me AGAIN! Many people in the reviews were upset that the brace itself is too complicated to put on, my advise is to watch the video tutorial for those of you who can't/won't read a manual. Personally, this was a piece of cake for me.CONS: After reading other reviews, I decided to purchase a medium size for myself because many reviewers complained that the sizing ran small and I can reconfirm with the rest of you reading this that it is definitely true. According to the size chart, I should've ordered a small but honestly the medium feels comfortable for me - it is tight but not unbearably tight, I got used to it.I will update this review and let you all know if anything changes, if I get better or worse with the brace, etc., as my healing continues. 5Measured my foot as they said and these definitely run ...Measured my foot as they said and these definitely run small. Compression is one thing, cutting off circulation to your toes is another. Returning it to get something else as it s also much more bulky than they claim and the Footlok strap is way too short to wrap my foot as directed. 1
