The thumb-hole is too small and the liner is too large- The thumbhole is too small on these wrist braces -- it makes them uncomfortable to wear for longer than 30 minutes.- The liner on them is also too large, so it gets dragged through the holes the velcro-straps pass through.- The splits are nowhere near rigid enough for me+ It is the right dimension around my wrist(I seem to have smaller wrists than hands, so a large would be too loose here)+ I can put it on one-handed (you'd be surprised at how many assume you have two hands to thread velcro straps through and put the brace on) 2Great brace at the right priceMy brace arrived fast and was just what I needed. It fits me well and is stiff enough to hold my wrist straight while I am working on my carvings. 5Goodish support, good quality, careful with the sizesHave been using it for a week or two now, Goodish support. I'll tell you right now that I've been sweating a bucket into it over the past few summer days in Texas heat, while hiking and moving furniture and such, it doesn't smell too bad or come undone at the seams or anything.However, if you're a male with a wrist with the circumference of 7 inches, just go ahead and get the LARGE, this thing strangles the heck out of my hand (not at the wrist), leaving the meat between my thumb and pointer finger raw and almost bloody, and just barely providing the support needed for my arm (wrist + hand) not to move too much, if that makes sense.Otherwise it's a good, comfortable product, i just feel that the SMALL's hand/palm portion size for men is just abit too small. 3IT'$ DEAD IN THE WATER The item became very loose after days. It lost the binding and became worn and tacky in appearance by I believe the end of 8th day; in disgust I trashed it. I'm extremely careful with my medical-performance items and this one was ABSOLUTELY faulty. In retrospect I should have taken a photo of it's last days -- pitiful. Instead in utter disgust I trashed it! Maybe I recieved a defective one but I haven't had much of a problem with anything else that I've bought that I didn't have immediately resolved. I just cannot commit a false finding of this product. I bought that particular brace because it'd advertiseda claimed light weight easy to sleep in-- as the one I ORDINARILY use most of the time and have had it for YEARS still very functional ... Pass On this one or be very certain that if mines was faulty that yours isn't. I was So happy when it arrived but now. 2Basic brace, works well for the costFor the $10 this cost me when I sprained my wrist I figured I couldn't go too wrong and I was right. It's on the smallish side (short), lightweight, and does a decent job of minimizing wrist movement. Using their sizing chart I am confident I got the correct size and have had no issues with the fit. After a few weeks of my wrist still hurting I finally went to an urgent care and they gave me a Med Spec brace that is a beast that really does an impressive job of restricting movement well. However, as the Med Spec is suede I am not confident about how washable it is. I have switched to using the Brace Up outdoors and when I am done I can throw it in the wash (in a washing machine pouch) and then in the dryer on low heat or let it air dry. I have abused it for the last 2 weeks and washed it a number of times and it is still holding up like a champ with the Velcro working just as well as the day I got it. The only criticism, especially after using the other brace, is getting the Velcro straps threaded through the openings every time as the straps are not long enough to leave through the loops when you take it off. Other than that, if you are looking for a basic (affordable) sturdy brace to minimize movement, this is for you. 4Good Product...things to expectThe BraceUP split is made of high quality and is of great value since CVS wanted $29.95 for a similar product on their shelves. I purchased my unit when I experienced what I thought was a sprain on my wrist and my doctor recommended I obtain one at the pharmacy. I have since learned that my "sprain" is actually the early stage of Rheumatoid Arthritis. I expect that I will have to use a splint for longer period than expected until new treatment kicks in. My only negative opinion of this unit is that, if you need to use it for a prolonged period of time, the two bands that wrap around the unit and affixes the Velcro tend to stretch after several weeks making the unit less effective. In conclusion, bearing the price in mind it is still a good product and a good value. 4Very sticky velcroGot the left and right for carpal tunnel. They are durable and helped, but the velco is so sticky (at first) that it hurt trying to pull it apart (remember i'm dealing with carpal tunnel)...after a few weeks of use, they kinda gum up the way velcro always does and they're easier to get on and off, but now, of course, they don't fasten as well. A good buy for the money, though, regardless. 4So happy I have these!Have been experiencing the beginnings of carpal tunnel and possibly arthritis... hands would go numb in the night and wake me up, so I would have to hang them over the sides of the bed until they "came back" and then repeat the process a short time later when they would go numb again. I was not getting adequate sleep because of this. I finally ordered a RIGHT and LEFT brace and wore them to bed. I LOVE THEM!! I can sleep the entire night without waking up because of "dead" hands. I have also noticed that they don't go numb as often during the day like they used to. Just make sure you don't cinch them too tight. So happy that I have these! 5They work.Wasn t expecting much based on the last brand of wrist suppport I had bought. These are amazing. Basically eliminated the numbing of my fingers and the pain while bending one finger. Granted, they haven t cured the carpal tunnel, but they ve made it for a more comfortable day and night. 5Works for meI noticed some people saying that the velcro on the brace don't stick after a few uses let's be serious. What velcro keeps sticking forever none and for the price it's well worth it. I suffer from carpal tunnel I'm thirty four years old never experienced this before in my life. I didn't know why I felt this tinkling feeling on my pointing finger a s thumb at night was the worse. I went to a doctor and found out I had carpal tunnel on my right hand. I got braces of all types none worked. I started to look for one on Amazon and found this one. I was a skeptical at first cause all others didn't fit right or was making my hand hurt more. I got this brace delivered on 1/8/19. I put it on before I went to bed since at night it was when it hurt the most all I have to say is. I slept like a baby woke up next day with less pain no tinkling feeling on the hand as much so far my hand is feeling like normal again. I just wanna say I don't write reviews at all cause for me it's a waste of time but for this product. I just had to it helped me out so much this brace and I will recommend it to other people just wanna thank you brace up for giving me my hand back.P.s to the people with carpal tunnel before you go to bed and when you wake up stretch your wrist it will help 5
