perfect, even after meltingMine was left out in the summer heat and actually melted. I was afraid it would all be ruined but I was happily wrong. It was a bit wonky but the texture was still that great, thinly layered flake. Very good quality and I would recommend. The chocolate flavor like this is but different from some of that in America, like Hershey's. Different but not bad, it might just need some getting used to.5Mixed ResultsI don't know... This chocolate bar was good, and it was cool to be able to get an imported treat so easily from Amazon. We definitely didn't have the same problems others did. We ordered directly from Amazon, which cost a little more, but our order came quickly, and the chocolate was fresh. It tastes very good though it isn't any better than other imported chocolates (such as Milka) readily available at the local grocery store.Others have extolled the virtues of this bar, and I've seen a few of those infamously sensual Flake commercials on YouTube. That's pretty funny because no one will look sexy while eating this chocolate. It is messy! The commercials rave about how the chocolate is flaky. How right they are; you'll have flakes all over your shirt. Those tiny flakes, as you can imagine, melt very easily, so when you try to clean them off of you, the chocolate just smudges.Bottom line: I'm glad I tried this tasty imported treat, but I won't be buying it again.3StaleI love Flake. I get it whenever I go to Ann Arbor, as the World Market down there is the closest place that sells it (an hour and a half drive for me). So I know what this is supposed to taste like, and...this is not it.The candy is stale. I would think this is a seller problem, not Cadbury's...but according to Amazon I'm wrong about that (as I tried to leave seller feedback about the state of the candy).The thing is, not all of the bars were stale. Also, I've purchased a six pack of these before at World Market, and the six bars came in a packaging clearly made for them. It had the nutritional information on the back, the design on the front, etc. These bars came in a clear plastic wrap container with a big white sticker that said 'Flake 6 Count.' Clearly not the original packaging.I wont purchase again. I'll hold out for a trip to Ann Arbor. So much for saving myself the hassle.EDIT: Just wanted to add...there's some arabic writing on the packaging. Maybe I never noticed before, but I've never seen this on Flake purchases I made in an actual store. Just a big disappointment all around.2My favorite non domestic chocolate treat!I could easily eat one or seventeen of these a day....if I had that many.I was able to get Flake here in the Seattle area at Cost Plus and a neighborhood Indian grocery...no more.I was told the product was no longer made in Ireland or the UK, supposedly now made in New Zealand only.Vendors in the U.S. aren't able to get them from the new source.No biggie now that I found a seller on Amazon who ships for Freeeeeeeeeee!P.S.Delivery date was to be November 7th onward, got them early last week.Woooooohoooo...winner winner chicken dinner and a Flake.5So worth the wait!I love Cadbury chocolate but these take the cake! They are smooth, creamy, rich, and melt in your mouth delicious! The chocolate is thinly sliced and put together it looks like and the taste is just Heaven in your mouth. I cannot wait to see the look on everyone's face when they see they have these babies as a gift. I decided to try two Cadbury products from England and this Flake bar is one of them. It's disgusting. After two bites I literally said to myself, "Thank goodness I didn't buy more of these!" To put it simply these candy bars do NOT taste good. At least they don't taste good to me and that's really saying something considering the fact that CHOCOLATE is usually delicious. It'll take two or three weeks for these Flake bars to reach you in you live in the U.S. so trust me, they are NOT worth the wait.1Bad Tasting, Stale Bloomed ChocolateI had never had these before, but Love Cadbury Chocolate and decided I would get a pack to share with family. They did come much sooner than predicted by the vendor, Premier Life. Having never had them before, I didn't like the varying colors of the chocolate, but thought maybe they were supposed to look like that. One bite proved me wrong. Almost everyone spat out their first bite. The chocolate was stale & tasted terrible. I realize that there are other vendors, but based on this experience, I doubt we would try these again.1Messy but so, so good!Love love LOVE these!Lots of reviews before this one are complaining about the wrapper being in Arabic. The ones I got are all in English, with an expiration date of March 7 2014 (ordered Nov 2013). I've had absolutely NO issues with them, aside from getting chocolate crumbles everywhere when I eat them.For Americans that may not have had these before: They are basically a thin sheet of chocolate that has been piled up to form a (somewhat) round bar. There is no chocolate coating to them, when you take a bit, it basically crumbles in your mouth and melts almost instantly. The bars are on the smallish side (long and thin rather than squared and blocky like a Snickers or 3 Musketeers) but they are plenty to eat in one sitting!5
