Certainly dark in color but not that intense in flavorCaf Escapes Hot Cocoa, Dark Chocolate, K-Cup Portion Pack for Keurig Brewers is as promised dark, in color. I had expected it to have the intense flavors of dark chocolate. In this I am somewhat let down. The chocolate flavor is better than some and even better yet it is not as sweet as most. The result is a cuppa hot chocolate less attuned to a child s craving for sugar and closer to my personal preference for dark chocolate.Many folks do not like what can be a coarse and sharp edge to chocolate bars that have very high cocoa content, say over 70%. Caf Escapes states no particular % but such a number may have no meaning when applied to a powder blended for making hot chocolate. Caf Escapes is well below the percentage where the sharper edge becomes a factor.We love our coffee by the cup machine. Perhaps because neither of us tend to make lots of hot chocolate and The Wife is excellent about keeping our machine clean, we have had no problems with cocoa gumming up anything. I bought several of the reusable cups that make it possible for me to avoid single use portions. Caf Escapes remains the one exception. I like the Dark Chocolate , K Cup portions. 4Tastes different than it used toWe've been ordering these for a long time but the two most recent boxes have a lot more of a fake sugar (sucralose / splenda) flavor than they used to. I wonder if they changed the formula. I'm not a fan of the fake sugar flavor, it tastes like chemicals to me, so I don't think I'll be ordering these anymore. If you don't mind splenda then you will probably really like these because they still have a nice chocolate flavor to them before the splenda aftertaste. 2... chocolate and this is far my roommates and mine favorite one.I tried so many brands for milk chocolate and this is far my roommates and mine favorite one. 5Food Not as DescribedI ordered the 72 count Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa. Although the product is advertised as, "Count Size: Contains six cartons, each with 12 K-Cup packs, totaling 72 K-Cup packs," I received 72 loose K-cups in a corrugated box. Although 10 of the 12 product photographs show that your food will arrive in the Cafe Express manufacturer-sealed cartons, mine did not. I will attempt to attach a photo of what I did receive (loose cups without even a plastic bag for cleanliness). Although the photos show that the product should come with the manufacturer's nutritional information, allergy information and expiration date (important for a milk-based product!), no such information was provided. This is a disappointing experience -- I had intended to use each of the 6 cartons featured in the listing as gift items in Easter baskets. These loose cups without manufacturing information and individual boxes are not usable for me. I do not know how old they are, or if they were handled in a manner consistent with the manufacturer's guidelines. This seller does not seem to accept returns. 1Tastes greatI was using Swiss Miss until my husband told me that they used this brand at work and he really liked it. So, I decided to order these and I did a side by side comparison with the same amount of water and the same exact temperature. The clear choice was the Cafe' Escapes, it just has a better flavor altogether. Needless to say, I gave my other brand away and we will continue to use these from now on. 5It's pretty good hot cocoaSome reviewers seem confused as to what they are ordering. This is HOT COCOA, not coffee, not some coffee blend, it IS cocoa. I tend to make my instant hot cocoa with only a small amount of water and then use milk for a richer taste, so I was hesitant about using something that I knew I would be making with just the hot water (and just a splash of almond milk to cool it). But it is surprisingly good. It is a little thinner than what I normally end up with when making hot cocoa my way, but it's still quite good and I am happy with this purchase. 4Delicious Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa for Keurig K-Cup Brewers!!I recently purchased a Keurig K-Cup brewer (the K55), and not being a coffee person (my husband is the coffee drinker in the family), and also being a dark chocolate cover (I LOVE dark chocolate!), I found Cafe Escapes Dark Chocolate while doing a search on Amazon. I ordered a box two days after I ordered our Keurig, and it arrived the day after the machine. All I can say is wow!! This stuff takes wonderful, and I'm totally hooked! So much so, I just ordered another box (I told myself that the next time it dropped in price, I'd buy another box, which I did!). If you love hot chocolate, and you also love dark chocolate, do yourself a favor and try Cafe Escapes Dark Chocolate. It's worth every penny I paid for it! :) Yum!! :) 5I started drinking hot cocoa before I was 5 years ...I started drinking hot cocoa before I was 5 years old and continued to do so 60 years pasted now I have found that same flavor when I was young and I'm making up for lost time . this smooth dark creamy warm soothing and relaxing cup of cocoa day or night ,hot or cold weather it even replaces my coffee and I'm a hard core coffee drinker. Cafe Escapes Milk Chocolate makes me feel young again .Thank You for your hard work to produce this product. 5Use hot cocoa setting on Keurig first. Coffee 2ndMake your own cafe mocha at home: On Keurig use 6oz cocoa first then 6oz coffee in LARGER mug. Always use cocoa first on hot/cocoa setting then follow with the coffee. Prevents clogging. Then add a little cream! Much less costly! 5AWESOME but dangerously addicting. Learn from my mistakes. Do not embellish this cocoa.I am addicted to this cocoa. I cheat, though, and put a tiny bit of Hershey's Special Dark in the bottom, with a tiny bit of the Bailey's Irish Creamer (Not the good stuff. I work, people. I have responsibilities.) and I do this Every. Single. Night. And I just found it on Amazon for about 45 cents a pod, so I bought two boxes of 24 and they arrived two days later, even though I said, hey take your time and give me that digital dollar. (You should too. You'll still get it quickly and you make money off the deal.) Anyway, back to my addiction, each pod is about 60 calories before I jack it up with all that other stuff. So I am probably drinking about 100 calories a night. Sometimes I do it twice. The hot chocolate is that good. I know. I know. I disgust myself (and I don't care). 5
