Each day I am amazed that I am not suffering with constipationI was recovering from breast cancer. I had chemo and radiation. A friend suggested that I take a quality probiotic. I have been having stomach issues for a number of years so I readily agreed. I took the supplement for a year. Up until the last bottle I received it seemed that perhaps the product was helping me. After I started using my last bottle I began to have headaches. It took me sometime to narrow down where my headaches were coming from. I was shocked to realize they were from this product. However, the biggest shock came a few weeks later when I realized that my severe constipation had been do to taking these probiotics. Since I have been off of this product I have not been having problems with constipation. It took sometime for my body to come back. Each day I am amazed that I am not suffering with constipation. I have more to say because I tried to contact the company and tell them of my concerns especially the headaches. They were rude, insensitive and cheap. Amazon reimbursed me. Dr. Mercola wanted me to send back the whole bottle but they did not seem very concerned about the product. Personally, I think that this might have been a good product many years ago, but under new management they are not. I hope this review helps others. 1We've found that we do not need to even take the recommended dosage. The directions say to use one pill ...I've used probiotics for years and I've cycled through quite a few brands before I found this one. Both my partner and I have had our gall bladders removed and my partner has microscopic colitis, so probiotics are rather important. Other probiotics made our bodies rather "yeasty" (skin feeling tacky under arms, etc) but this probiotic does not do that at all. As far as bowel movements, we've been as regular as regular can be. We've found that we do not need to even take the recommended dosage. The directions say to use one pill daily ... but we use just four a week and are on a schedule of SUN/TUE/THUR/SAT which works perfectly for us. Anyway, we highly recommend it. It's definitely the best that we've used. 5New formula causes stomach upset and diarrheaThis product really works before, however with the new formula, the 90 capsules one, it's awful. I have been taking it for years, but this morning I tried the new formula for the first time, one capsule in the morning. I can tell the difference immediately. I had diarrhea, stomachache, and gas. Never got these problems with the old formula. My stomach still hurt while I am typing. 1... and the veggies fizz within a day and taste good.I know these work because I use them as starter culture for my probiotic veggies and the veggies fizz within a day and taste good. 5Finally!!!I have tried numerous probiotics over the past two years. My digestive issues were frustrating. According to my PCP I was normal just needed to drink more water. I drink 1-2 gallons per day for 4 plus years .... lol. She just didn t understandMy abdomen was always bloated and painful. Constant constipation ruled my life. I needed laxatives weekly just for relief. I ve tried 50- 150 billion cfu strains but this product is the first one that worked after one day of use. Yes it s early and I ve only been using it for 4 days but I m 4 for 4!It s pricey but worth it! I will continue if this continues to provide results! 5good daily pillWorks well. I see a difference if I don't take a daily probiotic. This one helps keep me balanced. I only take one per day instead of two. 5Passed the probiotic testI've been using probiotics for quite sometime now, however due to prices I always shop around. I've tried several other brands in the past and some saw good results, while others did not.I then started to test the probiotics to see if they are actually active. Lately a few other brands I have purchased have failed the test and were dead on arrival.I decided to try Dr. Mecola's after some research and tested them out.They ship wrapped in a thick bubble wrap sleeve. When I received them I was worried because the bottle was extremely hot from sitting in my mailbox and sitting on the postal trucks. I thought they to were going to fail the test. They passed the test and are active. So if you want a probiotic that you know will be active when you get it, these are a good choice. As far as digestion goes they seem to be working. The cost is a little expensive when you compare them to other brands with the same amount of probiotics in them. That's the only downfall. 4Great Overall ProbioticThis probiotic has worked very well for me in fighting intestinal yeast. Over the last year I have tried several brands of probiotics, including two recommended by my physician. Dr. Mercola's has worked the best as it has virtually eliminated gas, bloating, and maintained regularity. It is a good one to use to balance the body systems and support intestinal health. I've used this product as it specifically targets helping balance the intestines, help overcome allergies and yeast, as well as boosting the immune. Additionally, it does not require refrigeration, which is helpful as we're planning an overseas two week trip. 5Good qualityI have been using probiotics for many years in hopes of becoming 'regular'. Nothing has helped including this product. I gave it four stars because I like Mercola's products because they're good quality. I have since learned that drinking a small glass of Keifer daily has resolved my issue & saved me a lot of money. 4I can say I don't remember the last time I felt lethargic and like I needed several naps every dayWell, I'm not sure if there are specific effects to be noticed after taking this supplement for a while, but I can say my 'base' energy level is climbing.
