Best cane & seat product ever!I get more compliments on this lightweight yet sturdy double-handled cane than I do on the clothes I wear! Seriously, I feel like an ambassador for the product. The canvas seat is sturdy and very comfortable. The double handle assists me in sitting down and rising to stand. The price is very reasonable for what it does for this user. 5You're going to love this cane/seat.This is excellent! I saw some silly comments about having to sling your leg up and over the handle of this cane, but that is NOT the way it works. You simply put it between your legs and sit; pants, dress, skort, it doesn't matter. Lean forward a bit and rest your arms on the handle. Perfect. Only issue is getting used to the double footed feel. 5perfectI have knee problems and bought this for a tour of Georgia O'Keeffe's house and studio. I was able to sit during the presentations at various spots of the tour. am buying a second one to keep in the car for spontaneous stops where I might need it. these are very sturdy and will survive being strapped to a cheked bag. I have other Drive Medical products and they are all high quality and good value 5Great idea BUT not as good as our old oneIt is a great idea to have a cane that converts to a seat and is also light weight. Also the way you use the seat makes a big difference in butt comfort. . If you use the cane seat like sitting on a saddle, this product is just ok for comfort. If you sit down so each hand is on a handle, then the width of the material makes a big difference for better comfort. Our old blue seat material is 6 1/2" wide. The Drive medical product has a 5 1/2" wide (black material). Our old Blue seat material is 16" long and the Drive Medical seat is only 14". These bigger sizes give you much more comfort in the non saddle sitting position. Now the problem, --I can not find a (Blue) cane seat with the better canvas seat dimensions.Give the Drive Medical seat a try----- but I will still be looking for a cane seat with better dimensions. Amazon is terrific in returns if you don't like what you ordered. 3Relief from standing!I have owned this for about 6 weeks. I have not used it but a few times, and therefore cannot express an opinion as to long-term durability. It does seem to be well made considering the very low cost of $31! When experiencingextreme back pain, and having nowhere to sit, this little chair is a real blessing! Be sure to sit facing the longer handle and not sideways. This gives much greater stability. I am 5'11" and it is just a little short when used as a cane, however it might be just right for someone with longer arms. This will not replace a Lazyboy chair, but for those times when you need just a few minutes of relief from standing, this is a great product! You might want to give it a try! KH 5Big hit on our european tourI bought this for use during a tour through Spain and Portugal. The tour group was mostly older and everyone commented on the simplicity and usfulness of the quad cane sling seat. 7 or 8 people offered to buy it from me. I sat in it the regular way (only on flat surfaces and never leaning backward) and found it to be sturdy, steady and easy to set up and take down. I have sent the link to all the people on the tour. I have more people who have seen and want one. 5I love this cane. Sturdy, lightweight, versatile, with built-in seat.A clever design, and very sturdy. I badly injured my leg and ankle and need a cane to get around while I recover. I would never have thought to consider this odd-looking design except my disabled sister will not go anywhere without hers. It's not height-adjustable, so I don't think it would work well for anyone who's very short or somewhat tall, but it's perfect for my 5'4" height. And the seat is a godsend, especially if you're newly injured or easily tired. Just unlatch the velcro and joila! You have a seat. Be forewarned, though: it's a bit narrow for people who are heavy. And you do need to be careful when sitting down. The instructions say to straddle it, but I find that'a impractical --- i couldn't possibly swing my leg over thr seat --- so I simply take special care to hold both handles when I sit, to prevent it from tipping. One last feature: I notice that the cross bars (the bars to which the mesh seat is attached) are also the perfect height for pushing off from a sitting position. That's ideal. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. (The price here on Amazon is less than half what my sister paid at a local medical supply house.) 5BUY THIS ONEBUY THIS ONE. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
