Wow. Interesting. STRONGI'm not a coffee "snob" but I like good coffee. I put cream and suger in my coffee - bring on the hate...This coffee brews very strong. Not bitter strong, but coffee strong. I like somewhat strong coffeee, so I use less whn I brew it. The taste is very "full" - like not watery at all (I'm sure there is a fancy coffee word for it).If I add a bit more cream than normal, it makes a very rick flavorable cup.If you wanted to sit and chat with someone over a cup of coffeee, this would be the coffee for it.I tried adding a small bit of cinnamon - made an interesting drink, but started to hide the coffee. Still a good winter drink if you don't like hot chocolate.Straight with no cream or sugar? ehhhh...cowboy coffeee anyone?5Good taste and apparently... good for your health.Very good, smooth and coffee flavor. I cold brew my coffee, and accidentally forgot to filter the end product after mixing my coffee with milk. To my surprise, unlike other coffees, after an 8 hour "brew", the coffee grinds (chicory grinds?) were soft and mushy, quite palatable and quite easily digestible. Just added info from my mistake ;) Also, for some reason (probably because I have a compromised immune system and the ingredient in Chicory, Inulin, is known to boost the immune system) I had more energy and feeling of well being after consuming this... it also seems to have cleared up some stomach issues I'd had. So... yay for Chicory! :D5Only coffee for me 10 years+ now.Best coffee for me. Been using it for 10 years+ now and highly recommend. Every morning reminds me of visiting New Orleans. Its super strong so where you would use 2 scoops of most regular coffees you use only ONE. Thus the price of one can is equivalent to buying two cans of most all other brands. I use a touch of organic stevia sweetener & some milk (AKA New Orleans style) to cut the strong taste of the Chicory. If you're strictly a "Black" coffee drinker you may not like the flavor of this brand. I used to buy this thru the Amazon Subscribe & Save program but they discontinued it & now the price is way too high thru Amazon so i buy it at my local Publix grocery & on Walgreens free shipping for a better price.5I love this coffeeI first purchase this coffee when I learned I must forgo caffeine, a helpful barista told me dark roast coffee has the least amount of caffeine-- whether one is purchasing decaf or regular coffee. I love this coffee, I barely notice the absence of caffeine as the flavor is so delicious. This is a great coffee for those of us who have migraines and must avoid all caffeine.5tastes like home New Orleans is my hometown. I grew up thinking un caf (au lait ou noir, quand m me) made with inky, rich cold drip coffee and chicory was the norm, everywhere. Every other brand of New Orleans blend (w chicory) has deteriorated - namely, the coffee is over-roasted and tastes burnt. I have lived away from home for many years, so I have tried them all. It is rare to find this stuff anywhere outside of Louisiana and bordering towns at any local grocer or supermarket. It was a losing battle for years that involved expensive shipping or vehicle floorboards fully lined with cans when opportunity arose. Being able to purchase online - at reasonable prices ?!....well, I finally figured out why all the fuss about these interwebz....5Yum yum yum!!! I'm extremely happy.. hoping they keep this restaurant blend as good as it is, cause I look forward to buying this again & again..5I love the richI love the rich, dark smoothness of French Market's regular Coffee and Chicory (in the red can) FRENCH MARKET Coffee and Chicory, Medium-Dark Roast, 12 Ounce Can or the K-cup, but, on some days, the roast is a bit too dark for me. Since I had never tried the restaurant blend, I bought a can to see what the difference was. Overall, it's like everything that I loved about the red can- the rich, smooth flavor- but with a roast that's not quite as dark as the red can. Of course, on the other hand, by being easier to drink no matter what or when, I seem to run out of it a lot faster.5Great coffee that brings back memoriesMany years ago I drank French Market. I have always enjoyed the taste of coffee and chicory mix. Another plus for me, I use about half the size scoop for French Market as I do for regular coffee. It has been several years since I have been able to find French Market in the stores, but I finally got the idea to look on Amazon and there it was. I wasn't sure if it would still be the same quality so I started out with one can. It is every bit as good as I remember it being so now it is three cans per month for me.5very goodWe are transplants from New Orleans who now live up north where chicory coffee is a little harder to come by. We were excited to see that we could order it on here! It's got a unique flavor that is rich and robust. Once you try it, you'll find you get cravings for it. There is just something about that coffee and chicory combination that is incredibly satisfying. It also goes a bit farther than a regular can of coffee since you don't need to use as much per pot due to it being stronger coffee.5WOW!! Good, strong coffee!Our usual coffee is Cafe Bustelo which is great espresso. We d never tried New Orleans coffee & chicory. It - is - awesome!If you use regular coffee grounds in your coffeemaker, you won t need anywhere near what you d normally use for a pot of coffee. About 5 or 6 tablespoons will do the job! The coffee actually comes out a dark reddish brown tint instead of a dark brown. Probably from the chicory but trust me, it s great!To further test the strength of this coffee, I ran water back through the coffee grounds which I had previously used to see how it would turn out and it STILL came out bold the second time. So you ll actually get more out of this coffee than you have your regular coffee.Worth every penny.5
