Pure disappointment. After reading all the great reviewsPure disappointment. After reading all the great reviews, I was excited to get this for the office. They are super watery and leave residue on the bottom of all the cups like a thick layer. Everyone hates it and it wasn't a cheap item either since there are a lot of known names and better variety pack options. We're just trying to drink them so they finish to get another batch from another company. Will not buy again and DO NOT recommend.1Not Dark roast!I like a very dark rich coffee & my son likes a medium coffee. The dark coffee in this sampler is very mild I would call it medium at best. A couple of the flavors like the light roast you may as well drink hot water. On all the flavors I would brew on a two sizes down to try to get a darker flavor but to no avail. If you want a dark robust coffee then I would skip this brand. I have found that the Peet s org. dark roast coffee Amazon sells is consistantly dark & flavorful. I guess you get what you pay for. Italian, Octane, and Caffeinade were ok, not great and French, surprisingly, tasted like cigarette and I emailed the support and they were kind enough to send me another samples. It wasn't French, but, Brazil, Guatemalan, Costa Rica, and another. This time, they were all good. The French from prior purchase might have been a bad/old batch at end of a cycle but I couldn't be sure since I had different items. Their customer support was wonderful (quick/responsive) and gave me a 2nd chance to try their products, though they weren't quite same items from original purchase. I'll try their products a few more times, definitely.4Good Coffee, Great ValueI was very pleasantly surprised by this coffee assortment. I had not heard of the company, but checked them out on their website and they seemed like good people. So I went ahead and took that information and the Amazon reviews into account and bought this assortment. There are four boxes of coffee packed in a larger cardboard box. They are all very tasty and I had no problems making them in my Keurig coffee maker. The flavors are slightly different, all bold and strong, the way I like my coffee. I will say that out of the four flavors the Italian roast might've been a tiny bit bitter, but it was still good. There are more and more alternatives to The Green Mountain and Keurig "official" Products out there, and this is one of the best. The price is very attractive, the quality is high, and unlike some other non-official cups, there isn't an amount of darker coffee in the bottom of every cup that gets brewed. If you like good bold coffee, I would highly recommend trying this assortment.5Great fresh coffee flavors. Americano cup for your Keurig!Great coffee. We are Americano drinkers that roast beans and make coffee with an espresso maker at home, so when we went on vacation with only a keurig, we decided to try fresh roasted coffee keurig cups. After playing with the settings on the keurig, a 6 oz, strong, coffee worked well and gave a very flavorful cup. The descriptions of flavor were true to form, and we enjoyed all of the varieties. Pods came fresh and labeled by origin (even saw some out gassing from truly freshly roasted / ground beans, ... some of the pods' foil looked expanded). Only comment would be to put a roasted on date so consumers know when they were roasted. The best by date is indicative, but doesn't absolutely tell you day of roast. The claim is that each order is freshly roasted and packed within days for ultimate flavor. Also, I couldn't order prime shipping, but again, I'm wiling to pay shipping direct for the fresh coffee. If I travel again, definitely will buy again. I might even try a different sample pack.4What a waste of $I ordered the sampler so we could decide on a couple of "go to" brews. What a waste of $. I will not be ordering anything from this roaster again. The majority of the capsules were so old and stale that the flavor variations just vanished. They all tasted identical because how old the coffee is. Tried two or three from each box and the rest literally went in the trash. I am not exaggerating when I say 75% of the cups went in the trash. I only ordered the k-cup samples so I can't speak on the quality or freshness of their ground or whole bean coffees. Maybe they just don't get enough orders for the cups and therefore they sit in the warehouse for months on end. If you are considering their k-cups, I would say STOP. Purchased a lot of coffee beans from them before switching to K-pods.This Amazon deal is a good price for the quality of this coffee. FRC's description of roast level is accurate. This is important to consumers who want to know what to expect. Each product is unique with a fresh taste.Their dark roast 4 pack is equally worth the purchase for sure. Unlike some coffee purveyors their dark roast is that but not a charred taste. Again each beans taste is unique to itself. No washed out mystery taste.Recommend purchase as well as other FRC deals on Amazon...........yummm5All of the varieties were excellent. Will definitely buy again.5Variety pack of bland, watery coffee.This review is for the African variety pack. I had researched African coffees and was excited to try this selection of lighter, fruitier styles. Unfortunately these just aren't very good. I've had several cups of each of them with different levels of water too, hoping that would help, but no luck. My tasting notes:Yirgachafee - least flavorful/ most watery of the pack. Hint of lemon, but the coffee flavor is barely there. Borders on a dirty dishwater taste. Don't add cream to this as it will completely cover up what little coffee flavor there is. 1 out of 5.Congo - dry and earthy. Stronger but also not very flavorful - tastes a bit like dirt or wet cardboard. Adding a small amount of cinnamon helps a little. I did not get the chocolate and spice flavors mentioned on the box, so I was very disappointed. 1 out of 5.Tanzanian - Box description says lemon, peach and black tea. That's reasonably accurate. If I wanted tea I'd make tea though. Actually this isn't too bad if made with the smallest amount of water. It's just not exciting and there are much better, less bland alternatives. 2.5/5.Sidamo - best of the pack. Box says cherry, strawberry and earthy. This one is earthy in a good way, unlike the Congo. I definitely got the hint of fruit. Still a bit mild for my preferences. 3.5/5.Curiously, I could not find a "best by" date on these - not on the boxes nor the individual cups. Other brands I've got have the date stamped right on the cups, so it's somewhat ironic that the Fresh Roasted do not. This makes me wonder just how fresh these are!Overall this variety pack was a major letdown for me, though I did enjoy trying something new.Keep in mind that taste is personal so ymmv!2Poor quality, old coffeeProbably worse than store brand generic coffee. 2 of the 4 tastes exactly the same and they all tasted old. With the exception of 1 of the blends, and it was just decent. I contacted the seller and their response to me was that I should ve ordered directly from them if I wanted to be sure to get a fresh product. No offer of replacement or refund or even an apology. Will NOT be ordering from them again. Sad because the price is excellent but I can get the same quality for less money from the dollar store. Just that bad.1
