GREAT FORMULA!Garden of Life is a favorite of mine! They have been a leader in the supplement field for many years & I trust the purity & integrity of their products. Calcium must be balanced with vitamin D & magnesium to ensure that it is absorbed in the bones, not the arteries. Natto further helps in this regard. Strontium is a bone strengthener, although I have always read that strontium should not be taken with calcium so this requires further investigation. II give this 5 stars anyway, just for the fact that it is a good comprehensive formula with plant calcium, a very absorbable form that our bodies can actually assimilate. 5Great productIt really works! I was low in calcium when I took a blood test a year ago. I started taking mykind plant calcium and recently had another blood test and was pleased to see my calcium went to normal. I highly recommend this product. 5Magnesium level is inadequate and useless for such an expensive supplement.Really disappointed about how little magnesium is in this G of L organic MyKind Calcium compare to G of L Vitamin Code RAW Calcium.Expensive choice overall since if you need magnesium then you pay a real premium for G of L MyKind Organic Calcium and must buy another magnesium supplement.One is made from organic ingredients while the other is same ingredients just not organic.Also Magnesium is too LOW in this MyKind to help with better calcium & Vit D absorption compare to the Vitamin Code Raw Calcium.Adequate levels of magnesium in the body are essential for the absorption and metabolism not only of calcium but of Vitamin D, because magnesium converts Vitamin D into its active form so that it can help calcium absorption.Seriously felt worse using the MyKind b/c need that Magnesium! Went back to Vitamin Code Raw Calcium. 2Broke Out with a RashBroke out, my face turned red, and itched all over when I took this vitamin. What a waste of money. 1Victim of poor packagingI received my first bottle of 240 tablets. I was disappointed because about 1/3 of the tablets were broken. I'm sure the product is a quality product, but I wonder if this is the norm or maybe I should have purchased the smaller count bottle. Possibly the manufacturer should improve their packaging so their product can survive the shipping process. 3Best form of calciumFrom what I've researched, plant based calcium is the best form to take. These pills are easy to swallow. I take 2 a day instead of the recommended 3, because I am getting some calcium in my diet. Calcium is so important for women, especially if you're 50 or older. 5Makes Me SickNo sure what's up with these things I've taken food based supplements before but this one made me want to hurl after taking them. The first time I took them I thought it was other stuff I had eaten but I took this a second time and same exact response. I've used Garden of life products before without issues but this one is definitely a puker. 1Easy to swallow and doesn't make me sickI'm allergic to most additives in the average supplement, in addition to having several food allergies, so I have to buy pure or natural versions of everything. I like this GoL calcium a lot, as it doesn't make me sick because it doesn't contain any extra junk ingredients or added fillers. Also, these tablets are a nice size for swallowing, and it's only 3 per day. Much better than the other calcium brand I've been taking where I had to swallow 6 large "horse pills" a day that didn't go down very easily. So I'd definitely recommend this MyKind Organics calcium supplement. Yes, it's more expensive than a lot of others, but you get what you pay for. 5Strong bones, strong meThis brand was recommended to me by someone whose opinion I highly value when it comes to nutrition. I take a calcium supplement, eat well balanced meals, and exercise regularly. Imagine my disappointment when I had a bone density test and was diagnosed with osteopenia so I began researching calcium supplements until my head was ready to explode. .All calcium supplements are not created equal and some brands are loaded with fillers that might even be harmful. These are plant based so my expectation is I will not have any adverse side effects and my bones will thank me for giving them the boost they need. 5Kidney stonesNot sure but I think ,and I know sounds weird ) Gave me kidney stones .Pain in my stomach after taking .Will never take this again ! I ll take my calcium the way my mother and grandmother did I ll drink milk eat cheese thanks ! 2
