Surprisingly Great Tasting Gum That Not Full of Fake ingredients from big brands in the space.Did you know you're basically eating a shower curtain (plastic) when you're chewing on more well-known mass produced gums out there? Well, you are. Glee is an awesome alternative if you're someone that cares what they put into their body. Most gum has the fake ingredient aspartame in them, which clearly is not good for us. Glad to have Glee in my life has a healthy alternative to aspartame filled gum.5Not really bubble gumThis is more like bubble gum flavored gum. It isn't bubble gum because it falls apart and you can't blow bubbles with it. The pieces are so small that it takes 4-5 pieces to make a decent serving. It tastes pretty good for the few minutes the flavor lasts and then it starts tasting really bad and the texture gets mealey. I won't buy this again.3Great Value For The Flavor & Longevity!Not going to lie, this is an AMAZING gum. The flavor lasts for a while, unlike a lot of other gums, and the flavor is also quite strong without being overpowering. It's not horrendously sweet, either, but just sweet enough to give you a smile on your face. I've given packs to my co-workers, fellow college students, and teachers, and they all loved it as well! If you like tangerines and you like gum, you'll love these! The packaging is also cute, too!5Not worth the cost, after a few seconds , it's like chewing tasteless tar.Ugh! Extremely disappointed , I wish I had read the product description . It's boxes of small candy coated gum , think tiny Chicklets . You need about 4 piece's to equal a one normal piece of gum . It reminds me of the gum from my childhood "Chiclets". While it's true that it doesn't hold its flavor as long as some of the "standard" gums on the market, just the fact that it does not contain all of the harmful (and gross!) chemicals is enough for me. I like that it contains just plain sugar. While sugar is not great for you, it's tremendously better than all of the stuff in all of the other gums now. Google them. And they buy some "Glee".5Healthy AlternativeI'm quite the advid "gum chewer" and have "a one pack a day" habit. I recently swtiched my brands of chewing gum because I don't eat GMO foods or aspartame and I didn't want to ingest any of those unhealthy ingredients in my gum. You can't find healthy chewing gum at your traditional grocery stores or market so I found this brand at a local health food store. It has a different consistency than my regular gum and the taste doesn't last long. I'm trying not to compare it to my other brand because my other brand is full of GMO's, aspartame and other unknown ingredients. Change takes time and I'm getting used to this brand. I'm now buying it on Amazon because it costs much less than purchasing it from my local health food store. The only reason I'm not giving it a "five star rating" is because the box design is cheap and poorly designed. Once you open the box, there's no way to reseal it and all the gum falls out. I try to keep it upright so the gum doesn't slide out and fall everywhere - but so far, it hasn't worked. The company needs to redesign the box to allow for it to be resealed. But the box design isn't a deal breaker so I'll continue to buy it because it's the best available product on the market.4The healthiest chewing gum availableI purchased this particular chewing gum because it doesn't contain any toxic & cancerogenic substances that are commonly found in the chewing gum you get at stores such as Walmart or Giant.The cons:- Flavor vanishes in about 60 seconds.- A bit sticky. It will leave tiny pieces of it on your teeth.- Very small, you really need to get 2 pieces to feel it in your mouth.The pros:- No aspartame- No Red 40- No sucralose or any other type of artificial sweetener- No fructose corn syrup- No titanium dioxideI personally think that my health is more important than the cons so I'll stick to it for now.However it doesn't mean that the manufacturer should assume that they have achieved the final version of the product.They probably can improve it.4Nice box!Besides the fact that it's made of natural sweetener Xylitol which is much better for you than Aspartame, my favorite part about Glee Gum is the eco-friendly box it comes in. Reminds me of buying candy from the 1960s before everything came in plastic. The flavor in Glee Gum doesn't last quite as long as Spry gum, but Spry comes in a big plastic container so its packaging is less earth-friendly. I like to base my purchases at least in part on packaging.4Glee Gum -- not to be confused with your traditional chewing gum!!So, I'm making really big efforts to be more healthy. Over the past few years, one of the major changes I've implemented is trying to avoid anything with artificial sweeteners. I had to let go of the water additives and have now learned to drink plain old water. I have let go of Splenda, then Truvia, and am now growing my own Stevia plant to use fresh leaves to sweeten my hot tea. Next on the list, GUM.I don't want to say that I'm addicted to gum....but, I chew a lot of gum. I always have to have some after each meal, and usually always in between meals. On average, I probably chew 8 pieces of gum a day. So, I wanted to search for a better kind of gum. Glee and Pur were the top choices. So, I bought a lot of Glee gum (wanted to have enough to get me through for a while).Here's what I thought: it does not measure up to the gum I'm used to at all. I have all of my own teeth, and this gum sticks to them. After a minute of chewing, it does firm up and the sticking problem goes away. However, if you cannot chew gum that may stick to teeth, I'd avoid this one. Also, it tastes great for about 30 seconds.....then....well, nothing. There's no taste. It's just like having a chewy piece of nothing in your mouth. So, I don't feel like it will really blast bad breath or leave you with a minty fresh taste in your mouth like the Trident White that I love so much. The pieces are tiny. Smaller than Chiclets, I'd say. So, I chew two at a time. A couple of times, I will chew two until they lose their flavor. Spit them out, then chew 2 fresh pieces. You can see how this can become an expensive habit if you've eaten an especially pungent garlic-laden meal.I cannot say if I will buy this gum again or not. I definitely want to try the Pur brand, and check my local Whole Foods for other options. As a last resort, I'd buy it just to avoid the "bad ones", but only as a last resort. However, maybe I'll get used to it and it won't bother my by the time I finish the second box. Although, I'm aware chewing gum constantly is also not healthy, so maybe I will learn to reduce my intake and gum won't be a problem. Either way, there it is. It is okay.....but only as far as that I'm-going-to-be-healthy-at-all-costs effort goes.Update: 06/17/13Ok, so it's still tough to chew on the first minute or two, what with the stickiness and such. And, the flavor is still gone after about the first 30 sec of chewing. However, I've gotten used to the texture and can chew on it for a couple hours (I don't normally believing in chewing new pieces unless I spit it out to put something else in my mouth). I did enjoy an especially garlic Cuban lunch last Friday, and this gum did NOT help with garlic breath. I chewed Glee, ate mints, then got a piece of minty gum from a co-worker. It didn't do much to help either, though, so maybe I shouldn't judge. All in all, this gum is still ok and probably much better than the alternative.3good stuff.Healthiest chewing gum I can find. Comes out to about a dollar a box, which is pretty good. Pieces are a little small, but that's fine. I'm chewing this for long periods to help my face muscles, so I don't want to chew on plastic for such a long time. This is pretty good. Wish it was a little stiffer and the flavor lasted a little longer, and it was clear that the flavor came from the spearmint plant. Just saying 'natural flavor' doesn't mean much. But overall, very good. Best thing I could find.4
