Great tea, great branch.I love this tea. I've been drinking tea for over 30 years, and have hopped around among different brands of "regular black" tea and English Breakfast. I originally found this in a local bookstore, and I liked it so much I bought more for myself and gave some as a gift to a fellow tea lover.Give it a try, especially if you like teas like PG Tips, Twinings, Red Rose, etc.Also, the same company makes a decaf black tea with vanilla that's amazing. I'm not joking -- I hate decaf, but this stuff doesn't taste like decaf. It's also cool that you get useful tins to use after you finish the tea. On the other hand, I've had so much of it that I have too many tins and have had to give some away, so it's kind of wasteful. I'd rather have it in a more environmentally-friendly box at this point.5Paris in Springtime--strong floral notes. Dessert TeaI tried this on an recommendation of a friend. Because I am an Earl Grey Creme fan and that's how my friend knows me, I somewhat expected this to be a similar tasting black tea. It is a completely different profile though. So, that was a surprise. When I first tried it, with cream and sugar, I honestly thought I had a fruit tea instead. I couldn't even taste any 'black tea' in it. I went back, read the label and realized it contains: "Black tea, oolong tea, black currant flavor, vanilla flavor, bergamot oil, caramel flavor." Honestly, I had no idea what black currants tasted like before this and now, I am convinced it is the closest taste you can get to liquid flowers. Anyhow, that's how it tasted to me. It is an incredibly sweet tea before adding sugar. I don't think that makes it a bad tea. But, if you are not a fan of sweet tea, this might not be for you. Personally, I am beginning to enjoy the spring-summer taste since we are stuck in the dismal, gray weather of Michigan in January. It just might catch you off guard if you were expecting a more traditional black tea taste.5Elegant !I was at a relative's house and wanted some tea. This was the only black tea I could find. I opened the can and thought it smelled like cheap candy. I was desperate for tea so I made it anyway. Love at first sip ! Elegant is the first word that comes to mind. This tea has a very slightly sweet and fruity taste. I don't like fruity tea, but this doesn't overwhelm. I have tried it sweetened, but it's really not necessary. This is tea to drink in your favorite room in your favorite chair. Savor it. This is not the grab and go Mon - Fri morning tea. I will probably continue buying this forever. I don't even want to read when I'm drinking this. I just want to enjoy every sip with no distractions.I have been drinking all kinds a tea for a few decades. This has got to be my all time favorite. 10 stars !5Harey & Sons Paris tea - lovely to drink and the aroma is heavenly!I am a fan of Harney & Sons teas. Previously I had only purchased the bag of individual sachets, but thought that I would give the loose tea a try. I am very glad that I did. Great for making tea in a pot, or, if you have a special tea spoon, a cup of this great tea is only a few minutes away. I have made pots of tea, and I have made individual cups of tea. Unique, lovely taste and bouquet. As long as Harney & Sons makes it, I will be buying it!this 4oz size is a perfect size to give it a try. I have just recently ordered a pound of this tea. It is lovely!5Definitely worth tryingEveryone likes different tea, so there's no written review that can replace a sample to try yourself. But I ordered this based on nothing but the description, and it's definitely going to be a staple in my home now. It's lovely - not quite plain black tea, but not a fruity or spicy herbal blend, either. It has some quality in common with a good Earl Grey, but that's not an adequate description, either. For me, it hints at a cozy study on a cold night, filled with old books and hidden treasures - but may conjure some entirely different image for you. My best advice? Go ahead and try it. If you don't like it, pass it on to someone else... But I suspect the first sip will carry the promise of a long, happy friendship. :)5Beautiful Tea!This is one of my all time favorite teas! It has such a nice balance of vanilla and citrus flavors without either of them being overwhelming. It makes a substantial cup of tea that holds up well to cream and sugar. I served this at a tea party once alongside a few other blends and this was the clear favorite. If you're on the fence, give it a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed!5Weak TeaI have bought this tea in the small tins before and Loved the flavor. A little bit of tea went a long way. The tea I've made with the leaves in this current bag is weak in taste and color. Also, I got a LOT of stems in this bag. Stems are trash. They increase the weight of the product but possess none of the tea's properties. I am disappointed with the quality and the cost charged.3Kind of like an Earl Grey. Not my favorite tea.The flavors I get from this are mostly the bergamot and the vanilla. I would say it is about halfway between an Earl grey and a vanilla flavored black tea, or perhaps like an earl grey creme. That said, the "natural vanilla flavoring" is more of an aroma and does not really extend to the taste. The very perfumey, almost soapy orange peel flavor of the bergamot is not my favorite, and the underlying tea base they use for this is pretty mild, so you can barely taste it underneath all of the flavorings. That said, if you are a fan of Earl Grey you might find that you like this.Another thing that I will give them major credit for is the packaging-- the classy black tins that their teas come in are some of the nicest packaging in the tea industry IMO. The brewing instructions, lot numbers and best before dates are all clearly marked, which I appreciate a lot.3It's exactly what I wanted.I bought this Harney & Sons Flavored Black Tea, Paris, 16 Ounce just to try it. I wasn't disappointed. It's hard to pin the taste down to just one flavor because they use all the flavors to make this tea have the wonderful flavor it has. I guess the most dominate taste is from the black Currant and Oil of Bergamot but the vanilla and caramel is there also but just ever so slightly. All together it's just a wonderful flavor.You might wonder why I chose to buy such a large amount. It's because I've had very good luck with other teas from Harney and Sons and knew it would be good. I didn't expect it to be as good as it is though. Harney & Sons Paris is now my favorite tea. It's actually slightly addictive but in a good way. The flavor just lingers forever in your mouth. I personally love it!This Harney & Sons Paris, also comes in Sachets but I don't use tea bags as it never taste as good as loose leaf.I highly recommend this loose leaf tea.5Just fair.I purchased this tea on the strength of its nearly five star rating. I did see the recent negative reviews but was hoping they were not indicative of the tea as a whole. Unfortunately the newer reviews seem to tell the real story. Something must have changed in this company's tea blending. The tea I received had very little fragrance when the tin was opened. So, I boiled my water, steeped the bag for 5 minutes and sat down in hopes of enjoying a 5 Star tea. No such luck. While the tea brewed a nice rich color, the taste was just flat! Lipton is better than this and thats not saying much! I will stick to Twinnings English Breakfast in the future. I found a small tin of a English Breakfast Tea called "Lifted Cup" which is delicious but I cant find it again. Oh well, you may want to pass on this stuff for now. Maybe a bad batch was sent here to the States. They arent still mad about the Boston Tea Party, are they?2
