Good blend and good value This is a good blend. Last month pure Kona was on sale locally and I picked up a bag of it just to see if it was a lot better. It was better, yes, but not a lot better and in my mind definitely not worth paying more than twice as much for. So I am going to continue purchasing this blend. Kona coffee is one of the best tasting coffees and if you have not tried it yet, it's highly recommended. 5Poor Grade of Coffee So disappointed in this coffee. I used to buy it at a dicount store for a very reasonable price. Then the taste changed and I stopped buying it I ordered this based on some positive reviews, and what I received looked nothing like the current illustration for the product. It was the same bag I had been buying at the discount store. No amount of trying different amounts of coffe has improved a very inferior coffee. I am tossing this $20 bag of garbage in the trash. Cannot return opened food items. Lesson learned. 1good medium taste, fairly smooth but robust enough This coffee tastes good, especially for the affordable price I paid for it. I did not misunderstand the labeling and knew when I bought it that it was not pure Kona beans and that it was likely not to have a large proportion of them in it; otherwise it would cost twice as much, at least. I switched down from a pure Kona brand that stopped selling here on Amazon. In doing so I saved 75 percent in the cost per pound! And it really tastes pretty good so I'm happy enough with it. I grind it coarse and brew it in a French press brewer. Easy to control the strength by adding or subtracting ground beans. I'd call this a medium to slightly strong blend in terms of flavor, and rather smooth; my palate is used to stronger coffees. It's worth the money I paid for it. 5Recommend, read review This is a very smooth and rich coffee. It's of course not but a small percentage of Kona bean BUT, I still recommend the coffee because of the price and flavor. I recommend using a fine grind and use a little extra than you would normally. I will purchase more as long as the price stays reasonable. 100% Kona is very expensive and even hard to find because the companies that make Kona blends make more money cutting it with cheaper blends... I have bought 100% Kona at of course it's the best coffee I have ever had but it was extremely expensive! Hawaiian Gold is very Good coffee with the true Kona flavor. After trying many other Kona, I have to give a 5 star... 5Truly Fine Coffee This product is exactly as advertised. I read a few reviews that were hung up on and based their review on BLEND.There are much more expensive Kona's out there and there are those who enjoy spending much more and it is a topic among their circle of friends.This is an excellent coffee, tastes great NO bitter acidic taste at all. Whole bean is the way to go in my humble opinion. If you use a French press you want that coarse grind, drip brew a fine grind or somewhat coarser grind. If you are a Keurig fan a little coarser grind with that pressure it extracts a good flavor profile.Either way this is money well spent on a great coffee that I do recommend and will be purchasing again and again!! 5** UPDATED 2019** Best Aloha Blend! UPDATED !!! January 2019!!Ok what happened??!! I received a different product in a different package-(see photos) and didn t realize it was a different coffee! This RESERVE Blend is awful tasting!!It came in a different package than the beautiful floral package of my first order.This is NOT THE SAME COFFEE AS THE REGULAR GOURMET BLEND!!2018- KONA Gourmet Blend- This is by far the best tasting coffee and the best smelling coffee I have ever tasted/smelled!! I have bought the outrageously expensive 100% KONA direct from Hawaii before- and honestly this blend is so superior in taste and aroma! I have had coffee from around the world- and I will buy this KONA Blend for its superior flavor. It is full bodied, with a smooth flavor and no acidic after-taste. The rich aroma is second to none.It is well packaged, and arrived in a timely manner. This is truly a superior KONA Blend!Aloha! 1Says WHOLE BEAN, Revieved GROUND. This product clearly states that it's supposed to be WHOLE BEAN coffee. I received GROUND. Not only does the product say whole bean on Amazon, but the barcode on the plastic bag encasing the two coffees together say it's supposed to be whole bean as well. And yet, the actual coffee bags say and contain ground. I've extremely disappointed. We own a French press and need to course ground the beans ourselves. My husband loves this coffee, and I haven't been able to find it since we moved. I'm not sure what happened and don't feel confident I'll get the proper product if I send it back to order again. 1Confused and disappointed Confused and disappointed. Pretty sure this package is different than what I ordered. Taste isn't the same. I have pictured on the right, the Kona coffee given to me as a gift and the same as in the picture and description advertised, vs the kona coffee I received from this seller on the left. 2NOT KONA COFFEE! DON T BUY! Sadly, this is NOT Kona coffee. It s a blend of coffees. When I realized this, I tried to return it but they won t accept returns. I just wanted to warn others so they re not disappointed like I am. 1Tasty, medium-dark, nutty. Good stuff. Even-flavored medium roast, with a nice nutty body. Is that the proper terminology? I don't know. It's good though - I like my coffee strong and black, and these beans deliver. Not a hint of a burned flavor. Very nice. 4
