Old chocolateThe chocolate was old. Had that whitish gray crumbly old chocolate texture. Not worth the money. Got these for my mom. Super dissatisfied.1Not fresh or properly boxedThe chocolates in the box looked discolored and old. I was not able to share them with my guests and had to throw them away because they are not returnable. it was obvious that they were not properly stored for what they needed. Vendor should not sell items in this condition. Total waste of money.1Sweet Dreams are made of theseThere's a moment in everyone's life where for just a minute, just a second they are pulled out of the ordinary world and sent to the extraordinary. Two months and five days ago I embarked on confection odyssey. I searched corners of amazon you didn't even know existed . Then I saw it, in all it's chocolate'y glory. I lay my eyes and my mouse over sweet Hawaiian perfection. One click and I was engulfed in sweet dreams (are made of these, internet reader who are you to disagree... everybody's looking for something.) Flash forward to when the box finally arrived... I licked my lips as I opened the golden box that held my sweet chocolate paradise. I quickly popped a macadamia nut in my mouth, and what happened next was completely uncalled for. The milk chocolate was too sweet! In my expert opinion, dark chocolate would have worked profusely better. The macadamia nut had a nice crunch, but it begged for darker chocolate or green tea to add complexity to the treat. On the other hand, my grandma and coworkers seemed to really like them so it wasn't a complete let down.3DON T BUY THESE!Just like others have experienced, my chocolate arrived old and melted with a weird white film. Could not eat most of them. Very disappointed. Also, I see that the price went up significantly!1The Taste of HawaiiThis sugary delicacy is a delight to the senses. Chocolate was first created by Oompa Loompas in their native country before being brought to the United States by the benevolent and eccentric creator of confectionaries, Willy Wonka. Since then, it has been combined with other foods such as peanuts, peanut butter, peanut brittle, peanut extract, peanut puree, oil of peanuts, and most notably: MACADAMIA NUTS. What a novel idea. I have also used the box to prop up a wobbly table. The box is approximately 7 inches by 13 inches. If you have the same table, this might be a workable solution for you too.5WHAT HAPPENED???These macadamia nuts were aged to the point of being grey. They went intothe trash.1Half Were Stale & WhiteI bought this 6 pack of macadamia nut chocolates and was mortified when I gave a couple of boxes out to coworkers and over half of them were so bad that they actually totally turned that stale-chocolate white color. It was so embarrassing! I would like my money back but don't know if they'd do that after I'd given out half the boxes.1Bad Nuts, Chocolate was MehI've eaten quite a few Chocolate Mac Nuts in the past, but on retrospect perhaps they were a different brand. Heck, for all I know, there is only one manufacturer and the exact same product just ends up being branded differently. But...I bought these with the intention of giving them as little extra Christmas gifts to my Hawaiian family here on the Mainland. After sampling a box, I decided to gift something else. The box had two pieces with "bad" tasting macadamia nuts. And the chocolate was not as good as expected. In the interest of science, I continued to eat my way through the rest of the boxes, and most of them had about 1/4 of the candies with bad (spit it out in the sink bad) nuts. Really wanted to love these, but was disappointed with the quality. Next year maybe I will melt my own chocolate and make them by hand.3Wonderful...notI tried to post a review showing the p**r quality of this product when shipped from am***.c*m. My review was declined. Trying again as I believe a buyer should know what they may receive. The spoiled product I received is evidence of that. See pics.1Old and melted.We were excited to receive these old favorites, but massively disappointed when we opened them. All 6 boxes are heavily melted and they taste old/expired.
