the 5" inch Curved Hemostats are perfect. The 5" inch Straight Hemostats are slightly bent ...My order arrived on time, the 5" inch Curved Hemostats are perfect. The 5" inch Straight Hemostats are slightly bent above the clasped end. The edge of the same side has a sharp edge, which I sanded down. The straight hemo's are functional and serve their purpose, but they obviously made it past Quality Control.3Look used...Looked used when arrived. Not bright and shiny like "new" ones would look. Had scuffs on them. The end joint of of the connector is missing on one pair. They work but are not as stable as they would if the piece were there.2Kind of crude but what would you expect (2 for ...Kind of crude but what would you expect (2 for about $5). I had a pair that a doctor gave me when he removed stitches. I loaned them to someone and they were never returned. I planned to use them for pulling my quilting needle through several thicknesses--don't think these will work. Oh well, you get what you pay for.3Not a surgical grade as you might be led to believe, that or OR standards have gone down quite a bit.Kind of neutral here. the loops for your fingers are generally not big enough for my ham hands. also they do not seem as well built as the two pairs that I use for fishing that were liberated from an OR.So much so that I looked up the manufacturers of the other pair I had and ordered them elsewhere. then gave these away.It's the first time I've been disappointed by a product here.Will work well enough for you if you have slender, dainty fingers and only plan to use them for fishing,3Gets the job doneI'm a veterinary technician and I bought these hemostats for work. I wasn't looking for an OR grade hemostats, but something that I can use for bandage changes and suture removals, etc. I was highly disappointed in the quality of these. There were many nicks and dents on both the handles and the shafts of the hemostats, and one of the shafts wasn't even straight! Like I said, even though I'm not going to be using these for anything fancy, I wasn't expecting them to be so cheap looking and poorly made either.
