and one of them is working fine, the other onei bought 2 in march, and one of them is working fine, the other one...no.. replaced b battery with new one, and now nothing happens amazon cant replace it so we are trying the manufacturer...anyone ese have this problem ? 5Works perfectlyI am very overweight and just starting a new doctor approved diet and excercise program and needed a scale that had the capacity to accurately measure my weight. This scale is perfect. It is very accurate as compared to the professional scale at my doctor's office. I am very wide and very tall, and this scale's width is more than adequate for me to stand on and be weighed easily. Even with me moving around just a little, it's very easy for the scale to get a lock on my weight after a few moments and speak it out loud. Which is good, because at the moment, my stomach is too big to see past. And plus, it's very fashionable. Goes just fine in our bathroom decor, and will match just about any other. I highly recommend it. Takes 1 9-volt battery that's not included. And one more thing, even though I don't use it, and probably won't.... But it has memory features to track your weight loss for up to 2 people.A++ 5Weight It OutIf you have family members that are really overweight, this is PERFECT for them! They can have peace of mind while trying to monitor their help and the scale reads out their weight to them so that they don t have to have a second person with them while they weigh themselves which can cause added anxiety. Most truly overweight people can t look down to see what the scale says so this scales adds peace of mind and removes hassle. 5Never WorkedThe scale arrived and we purchased the v9 battery. I was excited to try it, but much to my dismay the scale never worked. It did not weigh me at all. It would just shut off after a few seconds of standing on it. It was not on carpet, and I tried a different new v9 battery just in case. No difference. I also had another family member try it, and it didn't weigh them either. No wonder the product can't be returned - fortunately for me, Amazon customer service made this right! 1Finally we can see progress!!!Thank you thank you thank you for making an affordable scale that my husband can use. He keeps trying to lose weight, but none of the other scales go as high as he needs. It's very frustrating, and then he gives up because he can't tell if his diet is working or not. This scale has been a Godsend so far. He knows exactly how he's doing, and it keeps him motivated to continue. Also, the extra wide platform is great because my husband is 6'5" and has the feet to match! He was a little worried about the glass, but it hasn't been a problem. Also, my 5 year old weighs herself about 3 times a day because she likes the voice! :) 5Waterproof ?I needed something to check my weight so i decide to try this out. It came to my house in okay condition ( The box i mean ) but it didn't effect the scale but the only problem i had with this scale is when water somehow got in it, ( I guess it was when i had wet feet ) so now it shows a random weight but then clicks off in 1 second so i had to order another one ( Not blaming the company ) . You will need a 9v battery for the scale so if you order this make sure to get a 9v battery too ( Those small ones not the large ones ).---PS: The scale today was acting werid, like something was being weighed but nothing was on it. o.o;; 4BEST Scale EVER!!!I got the scale a few days ago. I love that it keeps a record of all your weights for two people. It isn't as loud as I hoped it would be BUT you stand on the scale and wait a minute and it WILL start talking. Its just hard to hear. I haven't been able to use a regular scale in about 10 years. I was so pleased to find this scale. I will purchase another for the second bathroom. Its well worth it. 5Dead on ArrivalInstalled a 9V in the scale but could not get it to turn on. Thinking my battery might be (pre-)dead, I ordered brand new batteries and tried again. Still wouldn't turn on. I contacted Cust. Service and my money was returned and I don't even need to return the scale. Kudos for excellent customer service!The platform is VERY large and would be stable. I can't offer an opinion as to the quality of the voice as I never heard it. 2still haven't figured it outi bought this quite a few years ago. it has been gathering dust on the floor ever since. i thought i read the few instructions that came with it (was it written by a non-native English speaker?) but could never figure out how to read in pounds, not kilograms. i also seem to recall it gave some outrageous number as my weight. i hope to use it one day - whenever i have the time/patience to fiddle with it. it IS wide enough for heavy people though and the talking concept is great when you can't see the readout. 2Quality declined drasticallyThe quality here has gone down drastically. I bought one of these in 2013 and it worked fairly well...I had to stand extraordinarily still, and it would give a reading maybe half the time - the other half I would have to recruit a housemate to read the ever-fluctuating numbers (remember I'm standing up straight, trying to be as still as possible). It finally died, being happy(ish) I bought another...This one arrived seemingly falling apart right out of the box, and I couldn't get it to work without a VERY hard tap first...yeah, that's going back.Would not recommend 1
