Strong Flavor, Never BitterI was introduced to Illy about three or four years ago. It is now a staple in our house. The coffee flavor is strong without any hint of bitterness. We use either a one or four cup stainless steel Bialetti espresso pot. The size of the pot's basket determines the amount of coffee used in relationship to the amount of water the base holds. That's all the measuring we do. We will have an espresso in the evening before retiring and by drinking the decaffeinated version, it does not interfere with sleeping. If making drip coffee, we use roughly 2.5. tablespoons per 8 ounces of water for all the Illy coffee brands. We've tried the medium and dark roast and enjoy both those flavors very much.5Description was for ground beans and received wholeAs the headline says, I received whole beans instead of ground. What can I say, I'm lazy until I have had that cup of coffee....that's why it gets brewed in the Kuerig for the first cup. The rest of my dozen cups throughout the day are French pressed. I don't want to deal with grinding beans for that first cup. I would ask for a replacement but policy is "no returns but replacement is possible" yet when I look for a way to replace it, that option is also not there. Thankfully I have a bean grinder and will just let the morning precoffee bitch stay around a little longer to get that cup of coffee until this can is done. As for the coffee itself...it's the best out there. I won't touch an American brand ever again. LOL I love American made products but they just can't do coffee (and chocolate) as well as Europeans.2Simply the best!I have pretty much tried almost all major coffee brands out there. This one is the simply best! From he moment you open the can, the room is filled with a rich coffee aroma. It's fine ground so I used it with my manual espresso machine and the results are amazing. I keep it in the fridge and it stays fresh for almost 2 weeks, but I usually end up consuming it within 10 days or so.5Always the best!Everyone visiting will ask, What coffee do you use ? It's really just a hint that goes so well with this bold espresso. Amazon is having me rate the "drip" version I've never used. I've bought the grind for espresso machines and moka pots. They also have Intenso whole beans and pods. I really look forward to starting my day savoring a cappuccino made with this amazing blend.illy also makes Forte, a blend that's supposed to be even stronger than Intenso, and I've tried it, but it doesn't have the subtle additional flavors. I'm sticking with Intenso.5Excellent coffee, but price isn't rightAwesome quality as usual from Illy. And most important: Very fine ground - excellent. However, incredibly expensive! This coffee costs about $12 on local stores, and $7-$9 in all stores all over in Europe. I had to pay over $14 in here. Why? Other than the price, this is one of the best coffees around.3False advertisingThis item said it was course .....it is NOT!!!!!This was false advertisement I needed this for a French press!!!!!!1I love this coffee!!I have been drinking Illy Cafe for over 10 years now and I am still in love with the product! It tastes great and the cans make for great upcycle projects, so it's a win-win! This is the only decaf I've ever tasted that didn't have a chemical undertone to it. It has a rich and "clean" taste to it. Most people don't even know they are drinking decaf when I serve it because you can't tell the difference in quality.Illy's customer service isn't very good, so I no longer deal with them. Instead, I buy from Amazon. Since I started buying my coffee from Amazon, I no longer have to deal with the frustration of dealing with Illy's Customer Service. But it speaks volumes that I dealt with Illy's bad customer service for so many years when most people would have switched to a different brand. But that's how good the coffee is! Now that I buy from Amazon, I feel like it's the complete package: Great coffee and great customer service!5Extremely rich and smooth flavor.Cans arrived dented all over, but product was well sealed with aluminum pull tabs (like soda cans). Flavor is excellent, and rich. Never bitter. Not as strong as a Cafe du Monde, but strong in its own way. And much smoother than any other coffee I've had so far. Similar to Peet's Italian Roast.5Illy top brand, great taste, unfortunately Amazon sellers have some that are staleHit or miss when ordering from Amazon. Food items typical with Amazon. Some cans, hiss/pop when you open the can and peel back the seal, that means FRESH. Others, nothing, and stale.Illy is outstanding I enjoy far more than Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks, no acid taste or harshness. Great brand a bit overpriced but if you enjoy good coffee, grab some.I advise the whole beans, instead of ground, and always keep in freezer or fridge after opening cans4
