Lifesaver!I'm three weeks out from gastric sleeve surgery and was looking for something, ANYTHING, to break up the monotony of chocolate and vanilla "milkshake" protein shakes. I need 60 grams of protein daily and still need to get most of that from supplements. This was an absolute lifesaver for me! I first tried the Mango Lime which is really good, but just today got my order of the Pineapple Orange Banana and oh my gosh, is this a protein drink? For real?! It doesn't have the whey smell that some do, and it tastes amazing! It mixes so well too, even in cold water directly from the fridge. I just so happened to have an appointment with my dietician today so I took my canister with me and she approved of the nutrition. It also digests incredibly easily which is nice because my tummy is still healing. Overall, I highly recommend!5Great alternative to chalky shakes!I did the protein shakes for a long time, tried all sorts of add-ins and variations, and they just got old really fast. Then I found the Apple Melon Isopure in the glass bottles at Costco. I really liked those so I decided to order some powder (unfortunately I can't find the Apple Melon so I got Fruit Punch) so I can make them myself for a better price. These drinks are definitely more filling/appetite curbing, much more so than the chalky shakes. Granted, the flavors aren't the best and it's not a flavor I'd drink just to have something to drink, but as a meal replacement it's great! Yes, you have to shake, shake, shake it, stirring won't work. Be sure to use a bottle with a wide mouth, otherwise use a funnel because the powder will go everywhere. I like to mix mine up in the morning then put it in the fridge at work, so by lunch time it's totally dissolved, no undissolved bits left. Looking forward to trying a new flavor when I need to reorder!4Great product!Easy to use, easy to blend, doesn t taste like a protein drink.Flavor is a bit too tart on the citrus end. I ll definitely buy again!4Pricey, tastes pretty good, doesn t mix wellI was tired of all the regular flavored protein powders (like chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter chocalate, etc.) so I looked for something fruit flavored and a little more "light" (whatever that means).This stuff from Isopure is pretty good. Tastes good. I got the Citrus Lemonade version and it it's definitely more refreshing than the regular flavored powders out there. Doesn't feel as "heavy" either. It's lightly flavored, meaning don't expect this to taste like lemonade from chick-fil-a (sweet and tart), but I like it.My only issue with this stuff is that the powder is SO fine (great for mixability) that even if you scoop it out gently it still flies up into the air. Just a little nitpick.My biggest problem with this powder is the price. I paid $25 for the 16 serving container ($1.57/serving). I don't know if this is unreasonable or if I've just become used to the cheaper prices of other protein supplements.UPDATE: this stuff produces too much gas when you shake it in a closed container and can literally stop you from shaking and mixing it. Tossed out half of my container since I m sick of the mixing issues.2Was hesitant to buy but glad I did!I was skeptical about purchasing this as premade drinks by isopure are nasty!! Honestly I was super sceptical that a whey protein "juice" would taste good but it tastes great and I know cuz I've had A LOT of different protein Powders. I like that it has only 5 ingredients and its sweetened with stevia, not artificial sweeteners. Also you can add more or less water to suit your taste which is nice because I find that the bottled protein juices are way too sweet for me.5Really Good for Pre-Made Protein DrinksI love Isopure as a protein workout supplement, usually opting for the Isopure Vanilla or plain powder in a small glass of water (6 ounces of room-temp water, stir rapidly with a fork, drink fast) or in a smoothie. The protein powder and water can be tough to drink every day, so I was thrilled when I found the fruity flavors. Had to give them a try. Here's the result:Best: Pre-Made Protein Waters in Your FridgeFor some reason, these flavors take forever to dissolve in water. However, the fruity powders are fantastic for pre-made protein waters. My recommendation is to fill a water bottle with 16-20 ounces (a full scoop will dissolve in 8-10 ounces - but the taste is very tart) of room temperature water (mixes faster than cold water). Add a full scoop of the fruity powder and shake vigorously. You'll end up with lots of foam and powder residue at the top of the bottle. Pop the water bottle in the fridge for 4+ hours. That's about how long it takes to fully dissolve and the flavor is better when cold. The result is a fantastic fruity protein water.I like to make 4 bottles at a time and stock the fridge. Then, I can grab one to take to a workout or in the car on the way to work. The pre-made protein waters are really good and you get the benefit of lots of water and the 20 grams of protein. See the picture for a drink left in the fridge for 4 hours. The powder completely dissolves and the flavor is perfect. I've started to crave the flavor on days I don't workout.Okay: In a ShakeThe classic vanilla/choc/plain flavors dissolve easily in a small amount of water or milk. In shakes, I typically use 1/2 cup to 1 cup of liquid, which is fine for the classic flavors. For the fruity flavors, it's hard to get them to dissolve fully in a shake. The flavors are good - especially in berry shakes with greens - but there is always some powder residue in the shake. You can also premix the powder and liquid and leave overnight for use in the morning for a better shake. Makes drinking spinach or kale in a smoothie much tastier.Not Great: Drinking Straight in a Glass of WaterSeriously, this stuff takes a LONG time to dissolve. The fruity powders are not meant for a quick mix in a glass of water. Stick to the classic flavors if this is your plan.5Shaker bottle only!I've tried literally hundreds of different protein supplements, and this is one that I absolutely will come back to again and again. It digests well, mixes brilliantly (in a shaker bottle, more on that in a bit) and doesn't taste or feel heavy like a lot of other protein powders do. It ends up with the consistency of a Gatorade with a pleasant flavor. If I'm low on protein (or don't time it well), I can chug one of these right before a workout and not feel weighed down at all.Now, if you don't have a blender bottle, I don't recommend it. I've tried it in a glass with a spoon, whisk and even a real blender, and it just doesn't dissolve the same way. That said, in a blender bottle, it becomes super frothy for 30 seconds before becoming a light, clear, perfectly infused beverage. That said, this is good enough to warrant buying a blender bottle, even if it's just for this.5BAD. So, so bad.I m a huge fan of Isopure s other protiens, so I thought I would give this a try. VSadly, I m very disappointed in this product. The mix doesn t dissolve well and forms gooey clumps. Even if you can get it to fully disssolve, there s no way you can get past the horrible taste. I ll keep using Isopure, but I do not reccomemd this particular product.1Good Clean Label Protein - No Bloating or FillersOverall, pretty great product. I was looking for an isolate option to mix things up, as I can only have so many egg white shakes a day before I don't want to see another egg white. I especially like that someone made a protein powder without all of the extra fillers, weight gainers, and maltodextrin that a lot of powders have. This won't leave you feeling bloated like most powders. Just whey isolate, a bit of flavoring, and a little stevia basically. Now on to the not-so-positive: the flavor isn't exactly what I expected as I hoped it would be more potent (I got tropical punch) and it does have a bit of a quirky flavor when it first hits your pallette. That said, there's not much of an aftertaste, just a little one, and it's mostly just fruity. Whey is a potent flavor and they don't use extra sugar/other bs, so I'm pretty forgiving in this area as it's not bad at all overall flavor wise. People overly critical about the flavor are being unrealistic, or just aren't cutting them any slack knowing they only use a few ingredients. Lastly, on to how well it mixes... VERY WELL. People complaining about it not mixing or being a bottle of foam are doing a couple things wrong. They either aren't using enough cold water (I use 11oz to be safe), or are not waiting long enough after shaking vigorously, or both. It always blows my mind, after shaking it I always have what looks like a giant bottle of foam, but after waiting a few minutes, the foam comes down and you are left with what looks like colored water. Just be patient.4
