Great Coffee!!!I've been drinking Jacobs and Eduscho coffees all my life and am glad I can keep my coffee habit going by finding Jacobs on Amazon for a really great deal. This was my fourth 6-pack this year and I will keep buying it as long as I can! The reviews that state this is not the coffee they remember, forget that the German coffee from 40 years ago are not the same as today! Climate changes affect the beans and taste and the companies have merged with others! It's still great coffee and much better than most found in stores!5Buy in bulk! You'll go through it fast!We tried this coffee in Germany over twenty yeas ago and have never found its equal! This is a medium roast blend. They do have a de-caf, dark roast, as well as a half caffeine roast. The flavor of this coffee is VERY smooth, no burnt taste, no bitter aftertastes. Everything you would want in a coffee whether you drink it hot or cold. This coffee will taste just as good after sitting in the pot all day as it does when freshly poured. It almost never gets to sit in the pot at our house as it is usually drank fast but every now and then life happens and we have to come back to it. When you find it, I suggest buying it in bulk, it is that good! I can add a postscript that the decaf actually tastes exactly like the regular caffeinated blend. Which as you probably know is a very rare thing to say!5Best coffee on earthIt does not burn my stomach. Great taste. Only problem, I want to drink to much. I love it. I had not been able to drink any other coffee for 15 years, even fancy expensive coffee. This is German . A lady who lived in Germany introduced me to it. It is strong and full bodied but grow not to be acidic and biting. It is so flavorful and smooth and never hurts my stomach even when I drink it first thing in the AM with nothing else on my stomach. It could conceivably give you warts and then your friends would laugh at you, your spouse would leave you and your boss would fire you. Unlikely? Sure. Germany is historically a leader in coffee production, roasting, and marketing a distinctive flavor. I lived in Germany in the 60's and saw boutique shops dedicated to coffee only. Not cafes, but coffee retailers including Jacob. We were still drinking Maxwell House decades later here in he USA. Coffee was NEVER served in paper or styrofoam cups but rather on doilee covered saucers and cups. Starbucks is a joke. It's STRONG dark roasted but never subtle with an awful papercup hint of flavor.5Best coffee, I use less than with others and get stronger results!!I am a native German, my mother used to drink this coffee when I grew up in Germany.My sweetheart always gets like a quad at Starbucks so I figured let me by her this for at home. I remember brewing her first cup on a Sunday many month ago, it was not even done and she came downstairs due to the apparently very aromatic smell. The strength is very strong and taste of this coffee is very pleasant (I personally do not drink coffee, so I'm taking her word for it) She said once you go Kroenung you never go back to your run of the mill coffee. I also got her the instant one in the glass jar, which she loves too. Just pour hot/or cold water on it stir done. Very convenient when in a hurry and you gotta get your caffeine fix on.5What's not to like about this coffee??Ok I am bias and German but I am happy I can continue to enjoy my coffee . Once you tried this you wont touch your Folgers promise!!! Just heads up it is more fine grind than american coffee and smoother in taste and you don't need as much powder. For half a carafe I use 3 heaping tablespoons, for a whole one about 5.5 heaping . Try it out and adjust strength to your liking .5Excellent Product!......Rough Handling?I've been ordering this coffee for years now and the product continues to rate 5 stars. I usually order it in shipments of 12 at a time; but, this was a package of 6 for a better price than I've seen in a while. Unfortunately, these 6 packages of coffee were stuffed in a box that was too small, and the corners of some of them were dented and a little ragged. The corner of one package in particular was squeezed in pretty tight, the corner was torn, and the vacuum seal was broken. This package is identified as (EO1/2019 OXB1173012 BO1 1549) Please advise? Recently I became concerned about the lower or complete lack of mold and toxin testing done on coffee sold in the US. Thought I'd purchase from Germany where standards are higher. I would give this five stars if I KNEW it was to GERMAN standards. Looked the coffees over & the Jacobs Kronung happened to be on sale & smelled wonderful when I squeezed it.My son didn't like it so much, so I brought home the rest of the bag. I simply fell in love with it! The first cup & on & on, I've enjoyed so much that I decided to look online & order. No bitter after-taste from it. I highly recommend this coffee. You won't regret it.Each cup reminds me of our time in Germany, which I loved!5
