Not the most attractive look...but I guess that's what long pants are for...The Jobst care instructions were detailed and useful. The socks were pretty stiff the first day and I was huffing and puffing by the time I got one on. I only put one on my right foot in the morning for several days. The sock actually stretched - became longer by an inch. It didn't slip down but did crease at the ankle. And they are very hot - which would be fine in the winter but not so much at this time of the year. Most important, the sock did control the edema in my lower legs. I think the stocking might be too short for people with narrow calfs and ankles but long legs - and the foot too short for people with larger feet. 35 star laughable, 1 star likable!.I ve been wearing, unfortunately, a compression stocking for over 25 years. I ve been wearing the Jobst XL full over the calf for most of that time. I m 6 4 , weigh 200lbs, wear a size 14 (very narrow) shoe, and am used to paying around $50 a pair. Obviously I was happy to see what looked like the same thing being offered here for around $30. Got them FAST, so I was BADLY disappointed that much quicker. Guess you could say really pissed. The fit is baggy and waaay too short. Short in the foot length and short in the leg length. Toe box is square and ill-fitting. Doesn t fit the shape of my foot as my others do quite nicely. The stocking doesn t stay up. And, worst of all, this is far from the ordered 20-30 med. compression I m used to. I ve got dress socks that fit tighter. What a joke in so many ways. If I had money to bet, I d bet that these are a crappy knock-offs , and I m truly being polite. I m not a damn newb when it comes to Jobst stockings and if not knock-offs they ve got to be a on a lower tier (the bottom) of their product line. DON T buy these unless you ve got a disposable income that you like to experiment with. Garbage*As of 08/06/18 I still hate them 1Durable compression stockings that can be difficult to put on and take offThis product works for leg compression just fine but be aware of the fact that they are very difficult to put on and take off. And if you suffer from arthritis in your hands or are elderly, you may need help. There are devices that assist with putting on these stockings but they do not necessarily make the process a whole lot easier. If you can, try 'em before you buy 'em. 4These really feel good, but I imagine all my golf buddies will ...I found I have an "old blot clot" in my lower left calf. It appears that I am destined to wear compression socks the rest of my life. These really feel good, but I imagine all my golf buddies will find it amazing to see me wear long socks with my golf shorts. Maybe I will tell them that I just discovered after a DNA Analysis that I am 100% British. It could be worse: the clot could move. 5Short but at the end of the day my legs looked like balloon animals because I couldn't pull them all the ...Finally, I have found compression hose that actually fit. When I was fitted in the hospital they said I needed Medium, Short but at the end of the day my legs looked like balloon animals because I couldn't pull them all the way up. These come right below my knee, don't bind at the top, and don't slide down and become too tight lower on my leg. I am 5'3" but apparently have very short legs. Really happy with these hose and have already ordered another pair. 5very good pair of compression socks.I purchased the exact same pairs of socks recommended by my doctor from a local store. The local store measured my legs and showed me how to get the socks on and off. The cost for the exact same pair was $50.50. They also had more expensive sport socks for around $80.00 which I declined. I needed another pair so decided to try these on Amazon. I did see some negative reviews but pleased so far with the quality. I don't see any difference from the ones purchased locally. 5Compression socksOur orthopedic surgeon advised us to purchase per his written prescription. The company he recommended required an appointment across town......broken ankle and all...the price was over $71.....not covered by insurance. So.......Amazon to the rescue! We ordered these socks. PERFECT. Per prescription....less than half the price....no appointment needed....delivery in 2days. Makes you thankful to be able to get what you need.........In SPITE of insurance and government regulations. We have since purchased a second pair. Thank you! 5Suggested by my edema practitionerI suffered from lymphedema after being taken off of a medication by my doctor. I was sent to an edema clinic for treatment. The technician who treated me suggested Jobst compression socks by name. I immediately ordered a pair and they do the trick. I don't wear them every single day unless the lymphedema flairs up, then I wear them for a few days until the flair up subsides.They are thin and I find I'm more comfortable in shoes if I wear a pair of cotton crew socks over the compression socks. It helps prevent my feet from sliding around in my shoes. 5hose that FIT!In all my experience with compression stockings, "knee high" has always meant "too long and uncomfortably bunched right under the knee." Finally, these actually deliver on being the appropriate length! If you've experienced that problem, then you know how great it was to discover these.They're not the fashion/patterned stockings I'm seeing a lot of, but I really need something with serious durability and compression-- these have it. I'm very impressed with how well they've held up, in terms of not losing elasticity or just plain getting saggy.I like that they have a clearly-visible heel, which makes putting them on a lot easier.They are definitely beige and unlikely to be mistaken for regular hose. That said, I often wear them under tights with no problem. If you're new to compression stockings, be aware that they can be uncomfortable in hot weather (but they wouldn't be doing their job if they weren't).I have mild to moderate edema (varies) and related problems. These are a necessary part of my home care toolbox. 5Fits a larger calf and is comfortable and stays up!I was a little nervous about getting these, they only go up to a 24 inch calf and one of mine is 23 and the other 24, but I bought them and they fit perfect! Even had a little room in them! I needed them to come up to my knee, because I have some varicose veins right below my knee on the backside and I was worried they wouldn't come up that far, but they come up exactly to that point.They are comfortable and feel like socks, not to tight or to loose, they stayed up all day.The only downside I can think of is after awhile my big toe starts to feel squished, but that seems to be a problem in a lot of compression stockings. 5
