Do your research and be realistic.First off, I have to say, if you're looking for a "boost if energy" then go drink a Red Bull. This isn't something you take and feel a surge of energy. For me, the effects were gradual, subtle, but very noticeable. After three weeks of use, I can say without a doubt, that my energy has increased. The three in the afternoon slump that happened daily, is no longer an issue. I have more energy for work, housework, and for my three year old. And the best thing is, my mood is much improved. I take this with my other vitamins and haven't felt like this since having a child. I have "pre child energy" (parents, remember that?)!!! I'd like to reiterate that this isn't like an energy drink which I suspect some people who gave this a low waiting were expecting. It took about a week for me to notice things like a lack of mental fog. Or that I don't feel dead tired in the middle of the day. Or that I feel a little happier because I had the energy to go for that walk I needed. I feel really good since starting this supliment. Compared to where I was prior, I'm beyond happy with this purchase and as soon as I'm done with this review, I'm going to order it again. 5Vitamin B-12: Essential for the Aging BrainI was really uncertain when I first tried these drops. I was fully expecting that it would have a terrible taste, but to my surprise, there's no taste at all ... hip-hip-hooray! After reading how important Vitamin B-12 is to brain health as one grows older, this will be the product I stay with.(Vitamin B tablets stink!). 5Safe alternative to synthetic B12 injections :)My doctor wanted me to come into the office DAILY for injections of the synthetic version of B12 (plus unknown additives). Because I have severe allergies to most chemicals as well as autonomic dysfunction, I was not particularly happy with the idea of such injections. The pharmacy team at the doctors office were also not too keen on my receiving synthetic injections either and requested I find a sublingual supplement which contains minimal additives. I was lucky enough to find this plant based derivitative of B12 in mild alcohol extract! I have no undesired reactions to this supplement and my doctor was thrilled by how quickly my B12 levels were restored (from 134 to almost 600 in 3 weeks!). Much better than having to go get synthetic B12 injections at the doctor's office daily - and no worries about adding unknown inactive ingredients into my body which might trigger other reactions.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ANY PERSON WHO HAS MAL-ABSORPTION ISSUES, PROBLEMS WITH GI TRACT, AND CHEMICAL SENSITIVIES AND/OR ALLERGIES! 5Celiac sufferers: pay attentionI highly agree with those other buyers regarding the "life saving" effects of this tiny bottle! I have celiac disease and my GP is woefully ignorant about it. We are often deficient in B-12 and I had all the symptoms plus. A friend recommended B-12 sublingual (because celiacs usually have a hard time digesting anything normally) and I chose this for its lack of extraneous additives. I noticed a difference immediately. I cannot express my gratitude enough. I feel like a human again and oddly enough it has helped my sleep habits while giving me energy and focus during the day. I take 10 drops in the am and same at night. I may decrease as time goes by but so far I am beyond pleased. 5The Best of the Sublingual B12 Liquid Drops I Have Found So FarAfter using this the first time, you quickly get used to its taste, which is not bad or strong at all. It goes down easy when you swallow after holding the drops under your tongue for 90 seconds. I was left with no unpleasant aftertaste.I found success using 5 drops in the morning, and then 5 drops in the late afternoon. (Recommended dose is 15 drops total daily, but of course one can use less if they desire.)I think the price is reasonable as is today. Squeezing 5 drops from the dropper is very easy. No bad odor.I had questions for the company, and they responded very quickly, and adequately.I recommend anyone wanting to try sublingual B12 consider this product here. Of course when it comes to this kind of product, taste and effectiveness are completely subjective. So it is good to find a product you can take a gamble with that is not overly expensive. 5Most Bio-Available Form of B12, Easily Absorbed, Variable Doses, No Xylitol.I started using Live Wise Naturals Vitamin B12 Drops due to a suspected B12 deficiency. It turned out not to be the case, but I was pleased with this product nonetheless. I have intestinal troubles so I did not want to tempt fate by using B12 pills. I would rather avoid the lower GI tract altogether. Sublingual drops allow me to do that, as they are mostly absorbed in the mouth. I searched for a brand that does not have added sweetener in the form of xylitol, which I cannot eat. B12 lozenges also contain xylitol. Live Wise was the only brand of B12 drops that I could find that does not contain xylitol or some polyol. Ingredients are: Vitamin B12 as Methylcobalamin, purified water, organic grape alcohol. The grape alcohol imparts a natural sweetness, so I don't know why anyone adds sweetener.I inquired of the company and was told that the alcohol content is 15%. I am not certain if 15% refers to the amount of grape alcohol or the amount of ethanol, but I suspect the former. The difference would be slight, as grape alcohol is typically 190 proof or 95% alcohol. That amounts to 4.5 ml of alcohol per 30ml bottle. There are 180 doses of 1000mcg, 60 doses of 3000mcg, or 36 doses of 5000mcg per bottle. A dose of 1000mcg (5 drops) is about 0.167ml; a dose of 3000mcg (15 drops) is about 0.5ml; a dose of 5000mcg (25 drops) is about 0.833ml. The dropper is not precise, but you can calculate how much alcohol you would be getting if that is a concern. Grape alcohol is used because everything dissolves well in it, it's a good preservative, and it aids absorption in the mouth.Instructions say to shake the bottle, drop the liquid under your tongue, hold it there for 90 seconds, then swish whatever is left for 30 seconds before swallowing. You will need to swallow any saliva that is in your mouth first, or the B12 drops will quickly become diluted. It's not possible to hold more than about 10 drops under your tongue, so you may want to spread higher doses out over the course of the day. You won't be able to hold the drops under your tongue for 90 seconds, as you are producing saliva. The drops either absorb or dilute fairly quickly. But it doesn't matter. Just hold the drops there until they seem mostly gone. The product tastes pretty good, like sweet alcohol. It's bright red, so avoid contact with fabrics. I wish the doses were marked on the dropper, but that is a quibble. 5Best B12 supplement ever!So happy to have finally found a clean Methyl B12. No fillers or artificial sweeteners- pleasant, mild taste. My energy is great, and I've stayed healthy through the holidays even though I've been taking care of family members who have been ill. I'm on my 4th bottle, great stuff- highly recommended to boost immunity and energy- especially if you're like me and have the MTHFR genetic defect. While I hesitate to endorse this or any other "health-related" product, I can tell you from personal experience that over the last three days I have noticed an elevated level of energy after using the advised dosage of this particular product. I suggest an early morning dose. 4I'm most happy about the fact that these drops do not have ...I'm most happy about the fact that these drops do not have any sugar alcohol or other sugar substitutes unlike most sublingual B-12 supplements which give me GI distress. My B-12 levels are stubborn and stay low even when I have supplemented and gotten shots in the past. I believe I have noticed a marked difference in my energy levels with these, but I have not yet had my levels tested since starting these drops so I will update if there is any information in my blood test showing that it's not working but it seems to be working better than others I've tried based on my energy level. 5Nothing short of a life-saver! There is a slight tingling feeling from the grape alcohol but it's nothing that's intolerable, and you can trust me on that because I'm a baby about pretty much everything.I'm very vocal about this product because my vitamin B12 deficiency, although severe, took away my livelihood at 29 years old. I tried the B12 shots at my doctor's office and they would work for about a day or so, but then I'd crash really hard and feel worse than I did before the shot. If taken consistently, which is every day for me, this product can seriously change your life. If you're suffering like I was, please give it a try. You won't regret it. 5
