Really love it.5I always feel like I'm not getting all of the product out of ...The squeeze bottles are so much easier to dispense than the metal tins; I always feel like I'm not getting all of the product out of the tins. I grew up using golden syrup on my pancakes instead of maple syrup, and even though maple syrup is the norm, IMHO pancakes always taste better with Lyle's.5Exactly what I wanted!If you have become addicted to the Great British Baking Show like I have then you are going to want some of this English / Australian baking supply. My English friend had no idea she could buy it online now and is so excited to see so many things previously unavailable to her now on Amazon. Treacle is another one that is sort of like molasses but different. Great price too.5LeakingThe golden syrup was partially open. The whole bottle and packaging was sticky from where it had leaked. There was no safety seal on the bottle; does the UK not have safety seals. I am not feeling comfortable about using it since it was open and leaking.1Delicious replacement for corn syrup - YUMMY!!This product is DELICIOUS. It's real sugar cooked down to a syrup. For any recipe calling for "corn syrup", it's a perfect replacement. Unfortunately, the bottle was sent in a yellow padded envelope so the lid was broken in transit. I guess I will have to do a lot of baking and hope for an unbroken lid with the next shipment!5Lyles is great!I love Lyles Golden Syrup and started using it in conjunction with the British recipes. Now I find that I actually use it many of my American recipes as well (that call for corn syrup).My one parting thought, however, that I will share. I think it tastes better in the metal can. The plastic is less messy and easier to use, but i think when the can is sealed (probably with heat) it ads an additional caramelizing effect. I've noticed the same thing with Hershey's syrup in the can, it also just tastes better.5Slightly Different Flavor Than Karo SyrupThis golden syrup was purchased for a British recipe, as it was not found in any of the local USA grocery stores. It has a slightly different flavor than our typical corn syrup, as it is made from cane syrup. Commonly used in Great Britain, I was glad to locate this on Amazon. Recommended for those missing Britain, or for those needing this for a special recipe.5Get 2!This is awesome!
