If you are a tea drinker, this is a must have staple in your cupboard.If you've never tried MarketSpice Cinnamon Orange Tea; do it now. This tea is amazing! If you are already a fan of MarketSpice Cinnamon Orange Tea, this is the authentic, original tea. So delicious, so fresh. Every morning, it makes me feel like I'm sitting at a table in the Seattle Pike's Place Market sipping a 'nice cuppa' tea on the pier. I especially like the frustration free packaging, and the shipping was so incredibly fast, I was shocked to have received it so quickly. Here's a tip from a huge fan; who's been drinking this tea for years. Every time I get a new package of MarketSpice, remove it from the silver bag immediately, and put it into a GLASS (not plastic) jar with a lid. The orange citrus oils are so fresh, that if left in contact with plastic once the vacuum seal is broken, it changes the flavor of the tea. Trust me on this. You will be very sad, if you don't put it into glass and discover this on your own.5Tea was spoiled did NOT taste as it usually does.I drink four cups of the Marketspice orange-cinnamon tea every single day, but my order came today (I purchased two 50-count bags) and it tastes & smells sour, nothing like it usually does. After my first few sips, I poured out my current cup of tea and opened the second 50-pack to see if that batch was any better, it was not. Now I have nearly 100 inedible tea bags the color of the bags is not as it usually is, nor is the scent or the taste. Buy elsewhere, for this place does not know how to properly store the tea for proper resale. Waste of money! Will repurchase elsewhere.1Good Tea, Metalic AftertasteAs a native of Seattle, I have been drinking this tea for about 25 years. I remember walking through the Pike Place Market and picking it up at their original store front. I also remember buying it in stock at my home-town Thriftway grocery store on Vashon Island. This was a staple item in our house for many years, so when I moved across the country to Michigan, it has been an item my family sends to me periodically or brings with them when they visit. We have expensive taste.I ordered this item from an unknown seller on Amazon after my personal Seattle-bought stock ran out. There was a small fiasco with shipping--I purchased this item on prime and then Amazon displayed a non-prime shipping date. However, the item arrived within the traditional, super fast Prime speed anyway, so I have NO complaints regarding shipping time. They really did a good job.HOWEVER, the only reason why I am rating this item with 4 stars instead of 5 is because the FLAVOR of this tea is off somehow. I don't understand why, truly, but this tea has an iron/metallic aftertaste that is very strong and nothing like the tea I have purchased directly from Marketspice. So I don't know if this batch was just old and sat on a shelf for a long time or something, but it's not the same. It's still good, I'll still drink it, my dental hygienist will still be scraping tar-like stain from this off my teeth in six months as she always does, but I'm not sure I will buy from a second tier seller again. I will go straight to the source.Still a better tea then some Twinning orange and spice version. All hail Marketspice tea!4I love MarketSpice Tea, but received a stale productI love MarketSpice Teas - especially Cinnamon-Orange. I've been buying it for over 20 years (either in Seattle, or from their website), but have made the last 2 purchases from various resellers on Amazon b/c of prime shipping. The reason for the low stars is that I've noticed that freshness is an issue with the resellers. I bought the last package in October, 2014 and the expiration date on the package is December 2014. (The first time I ordered, the package I received had already expired, but Amazon replaced it.) I figured the date was just a guideline, but I have noticed a markedly lower flavor profile with this batch - and the flavor is why I think anyone would make a special point of buying this tea instead of what's available at the supermarket. The flavor is so stale that I am reordering a package direct from Market Spice and tossing out the rest of this package (which I store in a glass container, in the refrigerator, so it's definitely not an issue with how I'm storing it).2Stick with the smaller boxes1st off, I love this tea. I bought 50 count every three months for years, but no longer...., went back smaller boxes. The 50 count has degraded in the last couple of years. It is dryer(less cinnamon oil), And not as flavorful. The last several packages I end up throwing 5-12 bags away because they are to dry, taste like soap, as cinnamon oil degrades when exposed to air. Yes, was always consumed WELL sitting the date stamped on the package, and kept sealed from air.1Threw is outI was looking forward to this but when I got it the bags were oily and green and it just didn't taste very appetizing. There is a sweet ingredient but,very irritatingly, I cannot find a list of the ingredients on Amazon or the packaging. I tried to drink it hot and iced but it just wasn't enjoyable. I read the reviews before I ordered and was forewarned that it was like Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Sunset and it is. I have over 100 boxes of tea in my pantry because I am an avid drinker and collector and this is one of the very few that I have thrown out. I was also warned that it was oily so I don't think this is a seller issue but just my preferences.1Dazzling,Delicious and Devine !!!Extremely good tea!! One of my favourites!I was first given a small box and then purchased the large bag of 50 sachets.The tea bags are not individually wrapped. There is a cinnamon or orange oil in the tea and MUST remain in the original bag and kept tightly closed and MUST be KEPT IN THE FREEZER! I keep mine in it's original packaging and then in a Ziploc freezer bag. It's been in my freezer for over a year and is much past the "sell by" date and has not gone bad!The tea has no sugars, yet is very sweet!I use one tea bag for about a 16oz to 20oz cup.The this tea is extremely delicious and is a nice substitute for more caloric hot drinks.This tea is caffeinated. I haven't tried the decaf one yet.I have a pallet for strong flavours.I also drink English tea, black.Nothing will compare to this! I've tried Twinning's and Orange and Cinnamon and Harney & Son's Hot Cinnamon Spice with Orange and Cloves. Still nothing compares to Pike Place's / Market Spice Cinnamon Orange tea!5BUT THIS IS AMAZING CINNAMON SPICE (maybe touch of orange) teaLet me say what I wanted was orange spice tea, mainly orange tea, BUT THIS IS AN AMAZING CINNAMON SPICE (with a touch of orange) tea, If you needed an air freshener for your car, hang one bag of this because The SMELL and taste are unbelievably strong and potent, this is unlike any tea I've ever seen and I drink a ----load of tea. Buy this even if you don't like tea, because this stuff is one of a kind!!! Taste is amazing!!!!Update edit: i've also discovered something else about this tea, you don't need sugar with it (if you can handle lightly sweetened tea) because it has a naturally sweet flavor. AMAZING 5Make sure pics and descriptions match. Don t buy in bags-buy only looseI ordered based on the original pic and description which was for loose. They delivered bagged. Ok-maybe I will give it a go. Teabags on orange spice are NOT the way to go. They don t mix properly in storage. The first bags from the top of the box aren t strong enough. The bottom ones became very, very bitter, with no natural sweetness at all. It s like the flavors transfered around badly. Ruined all but a few from the middle.I gave 3 stars because though the kind in bags is horrible, the loose tea is wonderful. In this pic, they show the loose tea (though again, not what was delivered). Disappointment.3This is not MS tea standard.I love MS tea but, like others, this batch doesn t taste right. The Mylar bag the tea was in was not sealed correctly when I got it so who knows how long the tea had been exposed to air. About 1/3 of the tea bags didn t have the signature dark color. No easy way to get a replacement thru Amazon either since it s a grocery item. I ll just buy the boxes at my local store from now on. The price difference will be worth a fantastic cup of tea.Buy the tea in the boxes and you ll get the actual Market Spice experience.1
