Round Ligament Support!I love this belt. I have one from my first pregnancy carrying twins, and a single pregnancy this time. When I switched to this one, the support changed! I hadn't realized how much I stretched out the other one! It can show through lighter and tight fitting garments, but it doesn't bother me. It can also get warm on humid days. I find it helpful to only wear when I standing for long periods, or I'm up and down chasing the 4 yr olds! It's not necessary when sitting. In fact, it pushes my belly into my diaphragm making me feel short of breath. It's support for standing, And compared to the almost $50 price at the big baby store, and similar item at the medical supply store, this is a great deal! A tip: Wear a tank or belly band over it, the velcro likes to snag jersey fabric. And it helps to conceal the lines, 5Excellent makeshift hernia beltI am not pregnant but have an unbelievably large group of 5 hernias, courtesy of a surgeon who didn't listen to me when I tried to tell him what was wrong with my belly. As a result, my hips are 3-4 clothing sizes larger than I normally wear (try buying clothes!). I also had a broken spine which is still extremely painful by itself and with this huge inoperable hernia, just standing long enough to make toast forces me to either take drugs(as a last resort which is really bad), sit down to rest, or lay down in bed. My new surgeon has ordered a hernia sling and in the meantime I am trying this maternity belt, which only partially helps and for only a brief period of time. Considering the fact that I am using this for a purpose it is not intended for I must say if is beneficial and rate it accordingly. 4Surprisingly comfortableI m really not sure how some people rated this so poorly. I did a lot of research and read a lot of negative and positive reviews. Pros: Soft material, lots of Velcro, looks just like the picture. Don t rely on the instructions. Very small writing, barely makes sense and extremely hilarious! Took 10 minutes to figure out how to put it on. Right now I am 161 lbs at 34 weeks. Pre pregnancy I am 135lbs and 5 7. I got the medium and it fits perfectly. Some people said that it caused bruising and made their back pain worse. Maybe I could see that if the band was wayyyyy too tight? It s meant to be a support, not a compression band. This might also be why people were complaining about the velcro not sticking.I also read some reviews about how people couldn t use the bathroom. I went to the bathroom just fine while wearing it. I also wore it right on my skin and felt fine and comfortable. I m going to try to wear it to work tomorrow on top of a tank top but under my work shirt. I live in the north so I m able to do that this time of year.I gave one star off because of the horrible/hilarious instructions. Probably better off just not even having any haha! Looks like it was translated to English from a different language.I will probably provide an update and pictures later after longer wear. 4Miracle? Maybe so!This is my 3rd pregnancy. My first one I was blessed and had no pelvic or back pain. My second one, I wasn't so lucky. I had pelvic pain, on top of which I injured myself chasing after a new puppy. Yes, you heard me right. We decided to buy a puppy while I was pregnant with my second child. My pelvis was never the same after that injury. Though bearable after I gave birth. My 3rd pregnancy, I'm lucky enough to have terrible pelvic pain on top of sciatic pain. I'm only 26 weeks in. I was walking 5 days a week in early pregnancy, but then terrible hip pain started, along with the other 2 pains, and after walking, I literally felt crippled. Unable to lift my legs past a certain height without severe pain. I asked my doctor what I could try, because I want to stay active, but can't take care of 2 toddlers, a dog, and a house feeling crippled. He said I could try a belly band, which I was sceptical of, and I could try stretching. Which, I'll admit, I was even more skeptical of...probably cause I didn't want to do it. I decided to give the belly band a shot, and this one had the best reviews and a great price. I didn't want to spend a ton on something if I wasn't sure it was gonna work.It came in the mail today. There are no instructions on how to put the thing on. Though I was able to figure it out easy enough by looking at the picture. It is comfortable. True to size. I wore it directly on my skin, and while it's not the softest thing ever, it didn't bother me, and I have fairly sensitive skin. Ladies, I literally wore this thing for a couple of hours tonight, just to experiment with it, and my pelvis pain is gone. That's right. Gone. Now don't get me wrong. I still have that feeling that if move in the wrong way, my pelvis might separate. Maybe it's that feeling of looseness? I don't know for sure. I mean, I wouldn't try doing step aerobics or anything, but I could put my undies on without grabbing on to something for support -for fear of breaking in half. That is amazing in it of itself. Tomorrow (if it doesn't rain), I'm gonna take a chance walking again, and I will update my review on how well it helped me with that. All in all, I'm quite impressed. I can't believe just how much this has helped. Totally worth the money. If you're debating like I was, take the chance. In all likelihood, you'll be happy you did!3/31/18I never updated after my walk, and just wanted to say this product really did help! I was still a little sore after those walks, but I was pregnant and pushing a double stroller up and down hills for a few miles, so I'll take a little sore, over feeling crippled. I'm now on my 4th pregnancy, and won't hesitate to use this product if needed again. I will say too, using it consistently in times of strain, kept me from having to use it on a daily basis. Would buy it again! You should too! 5I would highly recommend this productGot this when i was 6 months pregnant. I were as a custodian in an elementary school, where there's a lot of walking and bending down to clean about a billion little sinks and counter tops. This has made a definite improvement instabilizing my back. I have back troubles to begin with so pregnancy has only added to them.I would highly recommend this product. 5OK product - needs better velcro and stitchingOrdered this as I was having issues with pubic dysmorphia and my PT recommended a pregnancy belt I could wear around my hips for support. At first I thought it was great, especially during daily walks around the neighborhood with my dog and husband. However, I also sit for a majority of the day at a desk job. This belt is not comfortable when sitting for long periods of time. My two biggest complains are the small band that goes around first bunches up after sitting and hasn't worked the greatest for awhile and I only purchased this two months ago. Additionally, the velcro could be reinforced better. I had to sew it back on in a few spots to make it a stronger hold. And even that is wearing because the velcro itself isn't as durable as you'd hope for something pretty around a pregnant belly supporting at that extra weight. I need a new one and will not buy this brand again. 3Great Belly supportI am 7 month pregnant and cant stand long without my back killing me. My son is sitting low in my belly ,this gives me the support needed. I went out shopping and normally cant stand without leaning on a carriage. I didnt complain once. Myback felt great. Best product I have bought so far in my pregnancy. Its true to size.I am size 12 but my son sits low in my belly. It comes in three pieces and they velcro together. The top piece didnt really do anything for me so far but may when I get bigger. I love how the back is high so its gives you plenty of support. I wore this under my clothes but you will need something under it. Underwear that goes up high or maternity pants that go up high. I could see this itching. Its summer here so I sweat, it may be fine if you don't sweat. Don't waste your money on the expensive ones, this one does the same thing at lower price. You cant really wear this sitting down and the top piece really didn't serve any benefit for me.Over all I am so happy with this so far. Best product 5 stars. 5Big helperthis has helped my back tremendously. I am 20 weeks with twins and my ligaments in my back were being pulled from the strain. I have started to wear this and although my back still hurts it is no where as bad as it was before. I can actually walk by the end of the day now. for work i do a lot of walking around about (2-3 miles a day) and it was getting so painful.Only down side is the material that the velcro sticks to is getting very wispy and seems to be wearing away. I've had it for 15 days and i wear it for 10-12 hours a day and it is still holding up pretty well. Just worried that the velcro may end up ripping the material part it sticks to eventually.update, i have had it for a little over a month now and where the velco is sewn into the material has now ripped so it isn't holding as tight as it did before, still is a helper as it lifts some of the weight still but not nearly as good as it did at first. I expected to last for more then a month before needing to buy another one. 3GREAT BUY!!Great product! I am 8 months pregnant and have been experiencing severe lower back and pelvic pain, so my doctor recommended I get a maternity belt. I am 5' 7 275lbs and I ordered size XXL and it fits very comfortably with breathing and growing room. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the lack of instructions but I received an instruction card that I found to be pretty self explanatory. I mean it even has step by step pictures showing you what to do on the bottom. Overall I'm satisfied with this purchase and it definitely gives me the support I need. 5I sometimes put it on top of my clothes it is so comfortable and can't wait to put it on when my ...An absolute must have! I used it often once I hit the second trimester; it took me a few tries to not feel constricted it does become more malleable with wear. I am in my third trimester and it is a life saver when walking long distances, shopping, gardening or generally walking around the house or standing up for prolonged periods of time. I carry high my hips are small; this belt helps relieves weight and reduce back pain. I sometimes put it on top of my clothes it is so comfortable and can't wait to put it on when my back is in pain. I carry it in my small backpack when I go out in case I might need it (it is very light). Be careful not to belt it too low it will shaft your front thighs if you are bending often (it happened while I was gardening I readjusted and it was fine after). Other than that when belted correctly for your body size it is the most comfortable support for your expanding baby belly! 5
