I'm sure they served their purpose but...Taste wise, these aren't awful, the smell is like a normal vitamin, kinda repulsive once you open the bottle, but not bad once you pop it in. The only downside is that you have to take three, which I knew when I bought them, but it's kinda a lot. Upon delivery, it seemed that all the bits solidified in one piece but this may be caused by certain delivery and storage conditions. I just had to pull apart a few pieces and shake the bottle profusely. This is not a problem for me as the gelling agent used is pectin. Some vitamins use sugar crystals to keep the pieces from sticking but these vitamins are bare. The sweetness is very fruity. It may leave an aftertaste but a sip of water does the job. We will be sticking to these vitamins from now on. They're great. This is the first multivit gummy I have tried so I have nothing to compare it to. They do have a strong (I think) vitamin taste to them which makes me gag a bit. If I eat them with my calcium gummies and my B-complex gummy, both of which do taste like candy, it masks it enough so I can get them down. Overall they're not terrible though and I was having trouble getting my multivit tablet down. I didn't read before I bought that you take 3 at a time, so these won't last as long as I thought. A big positive though is that I'm not tempted to eat them like candy like I am with my calcium and B-complex (I don't, but it has crossed my mind). 4Inconsistent flavorsI just can't buy these vitamins anymore. They are cheap as far as vegetarian gummy vitamins go, but the flavors are incredibly inconsistent bottle to bottle. Some bottles are tolerable, but some taste like absolute feces. I've been taking these for about nine months and can confirm it's not a one off type thing either. I've had at least three or four TERRIBLE tasting batches at this point. Only rating two stars because they are the least expensive veggie gummy vitamins you'll find. You get what you pay for I guess. 2You Need A Sweet Tooth For These...I have a sweet tooth, but these are unpleasantly sweet, like overpoweringly sweet, like if you take a spoon of syrup and forget to pour it on a pancake or waffle and instead pour it directly in your mouth, sweet....So, why am I giving it 4 starts? Well, I'll tell you.1. Consistency: These are the perfect consistency, not too chewy, doesn't stick in my teeth, and goes down easy. Never had a problem.2. Look: I LOVE how these are shaped like actual red cherries, or purple grapes, or orange slices, without their being any fake colors in them like so many other gummy vitamins have.3. No bad preservatives, lots of vitamins these days have potassium sorbate and other preservatives that I don't think we should have to take while trying to take something that's good for us (same concept as putting color dyes in our vitamins)4. They have the vitamins I want in them and I like the "other" ingredients, which are listed on the bottle as: Evaporated Cane Juice, Organic Tapioca Syrup...(Now, you are starting to get why it's so sweet, huh?), Pectin, Citric Acid, Colors from Natural sources ( maqui berry, black carrot, beta carotene), Natural Flavors (cherry, grape, orange) Sodium citrate (which is fine), Fractioned Coconut oil (non hydrogenated), Beeswax.So, if you can handle the sweetness, then this is an excellent vitamin. I think my elderly mother could and would actually enjoy the taste more than I do so I will be ordering it for her as well.Thinking about the other chewable and gummy vitamins from excellent name brands I have had in the past, this may be one of the better tasting ones, because you have to decide, do you prefer super sweet or super chalky? Yeah, I would go for these too. 4Good Texture and TasteI purchased these multi-vitamins because it is difficult for me to feel motivated or routine in taking vitamins unless I have something to look forward to. I chose this brand because they are in the form of a fruity gummie, which comes in three different flavors. I also appreciate that the vitamins are not coated with sugar, like other soft, chewy vitamins. The texture and taste of the gummies are satisfying. I would definitely purchase again. 5Don't expect candy! But good!!These are tasty enough that I have started being faithful about my daily multivitamin. I actually enjoy taking them! Do not expect actual candy. There is a mineral smell that may be familiar to anyone who has tried multivitamin wafers (gross) or multivitamin powdered drink supplements. However, I find that once you pop it in your mouth, it's largely overtaken by the fruit flavor, which is pleasant. Being made with pectin rather than gelatin, it is not the same texture as, say, a gummy bear, but it is not disgusting! I was pleasantly surprised.You are supposed to take three of these per day. What attracted me was the fact that they are vegetarian. I can put up with a vitamin smell and pectin texture; I'm just glad these don't contain gelatin.I used to get ravenously hungry at night even if I was well fed during the day, but when I've been taking these that doesn't happen. It makes me wonder if I was just craving nutrients I was lacking before. Taking a pill multivitamin on an empty stomach (or sometimes even a full one) makes me nauseous, but these never make me sick.My morning vitamin routine has moved from an unpleasant or neutral ritual to a decently tasty experience that I look forward to. These are supplements that are stuffed with fruits, vegetables and vitamins! It's a wonder they were able to make these as tasty as they are. I'd rather not have it packed with any extra sugar. I can eat them much more easily than I can gag down a horse pill. Definitely the best multivitamin I've ever tried. When these run out I'll be ordering more. 5Taste good, easy to chew and dissolve. He loves them and looks forward to taking them everyday. They taste like candy. The dose is 3 per day, so 90 gummies will only last 30 days. We tried a few other brands, but they were harder to chew and didn't taste as good. I have a really great sense of smell..bloodhound nose :) and everytime I open the bottle I get the super strong vitamin odor, which is very off putting.The texture of the gummies, arent like gummy bears but more like mike and ikes , kind of chewy and kind of pasteyUnfortunately I have to pinch my nose when eating them. 2Vitamin candy - whats not to likeI found these vitamins at a health food store and it is the only vitamins that my mom likes. My mom religiously takes these every morning. She would take more than 3 a day if she thought it would be okay. After a while, I tried to get her on some cheaper gummy type vitamins and she didn't like the taste. You can get a version of these gummy vitamins from Target but the formulation seems to be more concentrated because with those, you don't have to take 3, only 2. They're also cheaper! However, my mom does not want to hear about taking fewer gummy vitamins. She basically thinks that this is candy and as a result, it is the most successful vitamin purchase I have ever made.Sigh. 5 stars.Update - 5/1/2016 - my mom still loves these and refuses to take any other type of multivitamin. If you like Swedish fish (anyone remember these from the Sears candy counter?) you may want to try these candy vitamins. 5
