Yes!!!I am so mad it took me so long to find this!!! My Dad has the worst allergies in the entire world. He just coughs and sneezes and his eyes run ALL DAY LONG. Over the counter things don't work. Singulair doesn't work. Claritin-D doesn't work. Zyrtec or Zyrtec-D doesn't work. Nothing works! He has terrible asthma and allergies and one affects the other. If something irritates his allergies then it offsets his asthma. He just coughs and coughs and coughs and sniffles and sneezes.I used marshmallow because I had a UTI. I used it with a few other things and just had to happen to have some left over. When I got it, I found out it's really good for respiratory and phlegm and fluid. I did some research and found out it was used by the ancient Greeks. I gave it to my Dad and he took it. Within an hour of taking it, his nose wasn't running and he stopped coughing. I can honestly say, in 30 years, I've never seen my Dad go 20 mins without coughing. He stopped coughing for hours when he took the marshmallow. It is most definitely a miracle for him. 5I had extremely bad heartburn and stomach pains for 6 months before getting ...I had extremely bad heartburn and stomach pains for 6 months before getting an endoscopy done that resulted in gastritis. I lost 40 pounds in this time frame and was desperate. I was taking 6 prescription medications with no relief. Started this along with slippery elm and ginger root and I'm now off all prescription medications along with minimum pains. The combination of all 3 really worked for me when nothing else would. Definitely try it! 5Intersistial cystitisA life saver for Interstitial cystis.. I suffered decades of living miserably with IC and the only thing that helped slightly was a huge amount of water intake that wouldn't allow me to leave the house without knowing where & how long it's gonna take to get to the next restroom. IC controlled my life and my young family's life. I lived in agony for way too long and could not live that way anymore... I researched natural supplements for inflamed/painful bladder & IC (no Doctor has every mentioned marshmallow root, & I've been to many Drs thru the many years of suffering) I found a lot of positive reviews on marshmallow root and I am beyond thankful I ordered this.. I've been taking one capsule twice a day for 7 months + and I am absolutely amazed and thankful to having my life back.. everday single day i suffered from pain feeling like I had a uti but no infection, i would urinate blood & tissue and I was constantly needing to empty my inflamed bladder (literally feeling like my bladder was on fire).. I had no relief and it was not only physically unbearably painful but emotionally and mentally painful too. I wish every person who suffers from IC would find this and give marshmallow root a try. The capsules are large and can be difficult to swallow.. I have only taken the capsules but Ive read the tea works well too for people who have difficulty with taking pills. I can not say enough about how much marshmallow root has improved my life.. it has given me my life back and control of my bladder. I still make sure I get enough water intake but I no longer need to live my life around my bladder and where the next restroom is because I've been chugging water all day & my bladder is full again or because I constantly have the painful nagging urgency to go when it's just a little tinkle. I hope that you find the relief from IC that I have and I can only hope & pray that it continues to always drastically help all who suffer from this painful disease. 5Finally IC and Chronic Pelvic Pain relief !!!I have been suffering from IC and chronic pelvic pain for the last 10 years, which had gotten 10 fold worse when I had total Hysterectomy 6 years ago. After the hysterectomy I had constant chronic pelvic pain and IC flare ups which made me literally running to the bathroom 20-30 times a day and getting up 10-15 times during the night at times.I have been to different Urologists and was placed on several different medications. We tried Amitriptyline which gave me slight relief but the doctor wanted the dose at 75mg every night, which made me gain 30lbs in less than 6 months, made me feel like a comatose zombie during the day. I did however continue to take it for more than 3 years but could only handle a 25mg dose, which of course only helped with IC and pelvic pain a little. We also tried Elmiron which did provide a little more relief while taking it but it came with a constant stomach upset and bloating every day I was on it. When I stopped it after the 6 month recommended dose the IC and pelvic pain came right back. I have had to take narcotics for the pelvic pain which of coursed helped but it certainly did not help my mental state of mind when taking them. For the last year I have been medicating myself daily with over the counter Phenazopyridine ( which I have permanent orange stains on every pair of underwear I have ). As well as over the counter Cystex daily. I should have bought stock through these drug manufacturers.. lol I tried herbal supplements that were recommended by people with no relief either.I have researched and followed every IC diet and while it helped at times, the flare up's still came regularly.This last January I did more research on treatment options. I just could not take it anymore.... I made an appointment with my primary care doctor for February and started off printing information from the internet on different medications to try, even calling my health insurance to see if they would cover Botox treatments instilled in the bladder. I was armed with the latest IC and Chronic Pelvic Pain information and could not wait to sit my MD to discuss.While I was doing this research in January I would occasionally see " Marshmallow Root tea" coming up that IC sufferers used and provided them with relief. Because I have spent so much money on different recommended herbal supplements in the past (which are in 2 big boxes in the back of my closet) and found no relief I just brushed the marshmallow thing off.My ten year old daughter and I decided to go on a little shopping trip one day and decided to top in at a local organic food store. While I was looking at all there herbs and extracts I remembered about the marshmallow root and asked the store lady if she had the marshmallow root tea. They only thing she had in the entire store were a liquid marshmallow root extract. It was $11.00 for only 1oz. and I was at first like " no way am I spending that much for a tiny bottle that probably will not help just like all the other herbal supplements I tried ". After mentally debating, which felt like two monkeys in my head with one banana, and watching them slapping the heck out of each other , I just decided to give in. So I paid the $11.00 and bought the marshmallow root extract.Went home, took the recommended 30-40 drops ( up to 5 times a day as needed ) and went about my usual business. Later that evening, I had noticed my pelvic pain was dramatically improved. And I mean in a pain free state that I had not felt in more than 6 years. I was also not feeling the need to run to the bathroom every 30-60 minutes. I thought for sure that this relief could not have come from the marshmallow extract; I mean really, how something as simple as that could give me this kind of relief. Well I thought I will just continue to take the drops a few times a day and just see if this miracle of pain relief could come from something so simple that comes from the earth.Well to make a long story short, it was this simple thing that has minimized my pelvic pain to nearly no pain! To where I can sleep through the night without having to use the bathroom once!!!!! I felt like an angel came down from the heavens and blessed me with this miracle.I decided to check out marshmallow root prices on Amazon and found this product in the capsule form. I ordered it and kept my fingers crossed that it would help the same as the liquid marshmallow extract. Well, it sure does!!!!!!!!!!! It is so much easier to take than liquid, way more affordable, and I feel it gives me better relief with smaller dosing. I started out taking 2 capsules three times a day and felt great. This last couple weeks I decided to try just one capsule three times a day to see how I feel and it did provide about the same relief but the last few days I did increase evening dose back to 2 capsules as I feel more relief at night with two.I know this is a super long story and I am sorry about that. But I wanted to make any other IC and chronic pelvic pain sufferers to know about this magic herb for relief. And if you do have IC and you try this and it works, please spread the word like I am to other women! We need to help each other and take care of our own. ALSO, I have not taken Phenazopyridine or Cystex since I started taking the Marshmallow Root. Yeah ! No more buying that every month and no more orange underwear ! YEAH !! 5My bladder needs marshmallow root - get it for IC!I've been using this for almost a year and it's the only "medicine" that works for my interstitial cystitis!!! This supplement plus the IC diet has given me my life back.First, I tried fresh marshmallow root from a local health food store. It made my symptoms so much WORSE!! I tried it several times over a couple of weeks, but it still seemed to be making me more inflamed and miserable. I still ordered this supplement from Amazon. I thought, "how could it get any worse?" I was desperate for relief.Within a few days of taking the marshmallow root supplement, I noticed subtle changes. I wasn't going to the bathroom quite as much. I was able to make it to a urology appoint in a town about 2 hours away with only one bathroom stop! After several weeks on the supplement, the change was undeniable. I asked my urologist about marshmallow root and she seemed to support using it! I haven't had to go back to the urology clinic because the marshmallow root is working so well!I've had overactive bladder symptoms since childhood and my symptoms have been controlling my life for 10+ years. I've been on a prescription overactive bladder med for a few years, and it does help some, but I was still in and out of the bathroom all day almost every day with an overwhelming urge. Then the pain came and over several months it grew to be so intense that I felt like I was being stabbed all over my pelvic region. I felt like I had the worse UTI of my life all the time even through my lab work came back negative for a UTI. I finally realized my symptoms were related to foods - coffee, tomatoes, acids, spicy foods, etc, and that I had IC.I now take marshmallow root twice a day - two pills in the morning and two in the evening. Sometimes I take it three times a day. If I miss even one dose, I remember when I end up in and out of the bathroom all night!I used to go to the bathroom several times every night. I can't even estimate how many times it was. But now, I usually only go to the bathroom once a night and sometimes I sleep through the night! My urgency has drastically decreased, although if I eat a trigger food it will return, but with less intensity than before. Most days I have no pain or only mild pain. I only get more intense pain if I eat a trigger food - i.e. coffee.I will warn you that your bladder symptoms may initially get worse after starting this supplement, but should get better with time. Think of putting lotion on severally chapped winter hands. At first it burns, but after several days your hands are smooth and the burning is gone.I'm not sure what else to mention, if you have any questions ask me! 5AMAZINGOMG, Amazing! I have horrible reflux & have been taking Nexium which makes me super drowsy & doesn t provide much relief. I started this yesterday & within an hour reflux GONE. Sore throat gone. This is not a paid review & I can be very critical of snake oil supplements, but this one works & quickly! Throwing the Nexium out. 5I know it sounds like a lot but it makes it so I can ...I suffer from IC , this helps so much with everything. I take along with oregano oil and parsley. I know it sounds like a lot but it makes it so I can get up and leave my house. I was at the point where the doctors were going to do these so called stretching of my bladder befor they take it out. I told them no way. And started doing research. If you suffer free m this disease you will try anything to make all of your symptoms stop. And that s what I did. First I got off of medication then cut my sodium intake by half. Started cold brewing my coffee. I don t drink much but it lowers the acid . Then taking these pills along with other natural pills. For the first time in a long time I can have a life outside of my bedroom and bathroom. I hope this helps anyone. Please do research when you are taking anything natural or otherwise.I sure can tell when I m out . I ordered two more so that doesn t happen again 5Helps with LPR symptomsLPR (silent reflux) is no fun. I've had a sore throat for a year. The doctor said I had acid reflux and prescribed a PPI for me. After taking it for 3 months and still no relief I did some research. I found out I have LPR. I've tried different things for my LPR and so far Marshmallow Root works the best. PH water (kroger 9.5+), digestive enzymes (Drew Sinatra's), DGL, Slippery Elm, and probiotics all gave help in other areas of digestion. For my sore throat however, marshmallow root has been amazing. I currently take 2 capsules 3 times a day. Also, if you have trouble with the "sizzle" in the throat especially at night, Gaviscon works better than PPIs in my opinion. It allows me to get to sleep without the sizzle damaging my throat by acid reflux. I use the Kroger brand and it works great. If anyone else has LPR and has found other things that help, comment and let me know. :) And to all the LPR sufferers out there, you're not alone. LPR really is no fun at all. Let's work together to find the best treatments and lifestyle changes. 5Marshmallow Root for IC!I read all the reviews before taking Marshmallow root for my IC and decided to try it, I'm 76, female and have had this since my 30's, back then there was not a name for it, I even had one MALE Urologist tell me I needed to check myself into the mental ward at the local hospital so you can imagine what I think of Urologists. That being said I have been dealing regularly with bouts of IC and dreaded the merry-go-round of tests and pills so I researched and found out about Marshmallow root so checked on Amazon, liked the reviews and have been taking it twice a day, two tablets each time and included Aloe vera gel caps also 2 twice a day, I'm on my second bottle of each and so far I am much better, no pain, and am going less frequently. I recently ordered Marshmallow Tea by Buddha Teas and am incorporating a cup or two each day, also it has few side affects and is safe for children and pregnant Mothers so that sounded good. I say to women out there, don't be skeptical, try it. 5BUYER BEWARE: Recent Changes to Inorganic have more product ineffectiveI used this stuff religiously to heal the lining of my gut and help my bladder pain. Worked like a charm. I was truly thankful for it.Fast forward to now when I get a new bottle with a new label. I didn't much notice the label right off but what I did notice is that the product no longer worked. Food intolerence returned. Bladder pain came back. I was dumbfounded. It wasn't until I carefully examined the new label vs. the old did I realize that along with the label change came a change to non-organic.Why does it matter? If you were using a product to coat your insides, you coating it with pesticides won't aid much in your well being.Truth be told I wouldn't have noticed it was non-organic had the product not stopped working and I had to carefully examine the item.BUYER BEWARE: This item used to be top notch but no longer works. 1
