They have IRON which is SO hard to find in kid's vitamins!Love these and will forever order them for my son.He's been using these since he was about 14mo (after he stopped breastfeeding) and I used to grind them and put them into applesauce before he was able to chew them on his own.The flavors are pretty awesome - I've been known to snack on a few when giving them to my son. I love that it isn't loaded down with sugar and they're the only children's chewable I can find that contains IRON which is very important (durrr). The probiotics are a nice plus though he gets plenty of that from his daily kefir :PJust beware these ARE messy if your kid is a toddler who doesn't just throw them in their mouth and chew em right away. Mine likes to almost play with his and the coloring gets EVERYWHERE so we give these to him at a meal when he's seated in his high chair and away from my brand new taupe couch. 5Check your labelsAs a mom of three littles im very picky with which vitamins i give my kids making sure theyre not synthetic...these vitamins are one of the FEW on the market for kids that uses (methylcobolamin) B12 which is natural and readily absorbed by thebody rather than the cheap and synthetic Cyanocobolamin..which is more of a burden on the liver to get rid of the Cyanide it contains!!!! So i Highly recommend these for your kids and Always check your labels!!!!! -my sister recently purchased the same brand from a store and sent me a picture of the label which seems like they might have switched to cyanocobolamin??!?!?! I hope not!!!!! The one i received from amazon still has the methyl! 5My daughter almost puked after I gave her oneMy daughter made a face and started to do that gag face before you puke. I can't find a gummy or chew she will eat. She has extreme food aversions and needs vitamins because she eats like 5 things. I've had no problems with the flinstone vitamins but the dr told me to cut out food dyes so I was trying to find something better for her. Looks like the hunt continues yet again. I made my husband try one and he said it tastes fine.Update: I went back to giving my daughter the flinstone vitamins but we were having issues at school with her not listening to the teacher and misbehaving. I cut out the flinstones and tried swapping these animal parade vitamins without her noticing. She ate it just fine and even said yummy. So I guess she just had to grow up a bit to try them again. So I'm going to order more. It also helps that I cut out all junk food and sweets so getting a vitamin is a treat for her in the morning. She's been off all dyes and her behavior issues have disappeared. I always thought the dye thing was just a myth or something but I really see a difference. I also noticed her eggo waffles contained yellow dyes and the nesquick chocolate syrup did to. Which she was having almost every morning. Also not sure if it's the dyes or that I cut out processed junk from her diet. Maybe all of the above. 4Kids HATE the tasteThey tried the vitamins once and didn't like the taste. I convinced them to try all three flavors and they didn't like any of them. I've been trying to convince them to take the vitamins once a day to use them up, but they complain every day and make a faces. Definitely won't purchase these again for our troops. 1Chosen based on personal researchFirst off, my 10 year old son loves the taste of these (which is important because lets face it, if it tastes nasty, your children wont be inclined to take them!) He usually has one in the morning and one in the afternoon. After doing hours of exhaustive research online I settled on purchasing this particular multivitamin because 1) It is a children's multivitamin/mineral AND probiotic sourced from whole foods 2) It has a great price for the quantity as well as the quality of the product 3) The DV% of vitamins are much higher across the board compared to other children's multivitamins 4) It is sweetened with Xylitol which WONT rot your child's teeth or encourage hyperactivity (YAY!) AND 5) It is vegetarian and gluten free :) 5Meet my high standard of approval, I only wish they were dairy free.I had to search far and wide to locate vitamins for my kids that:1. Weren't gummies, which are horrible for teeth and our dentist strongly recommends to avoid2. Not sweetened with sugar, for the times that I forget to give them their vitamins until close to bedtime, or for when they are feeling under the weather and we seek to not consume any unnecessary sugar since it suppresses the immune system3. OrganicI have had hyperemesis gravidarum during three of my pregnancies, which makes it basically impossible to consume any prenatal vitamins that I have tried. During my last pregnancy, I had already stumbled across these and been using them awhile for my kids, so I actually started taking them myself because I could not keep down any prenatal vitamin that I tried. I know that is not the purpose of these vitamins, but some extra nutrients are better than none at all. The hyperemesis gravidarum was my only pregnancy complication and I gave birth to a healthy baby.My only complaint about these is that while they are hypoallergenic and free of some common allergens, they are not dairy free. I have discovered that a couple members of my household have dairy sensitivities, so I will be on the hunt now for high quality children's multivitamins that are dairy free.One word of caution, Xylitol which is what these vitamins are sweetened with is deadly for dogs. If you have any dogs in your house be sure to keep these up high and make sure that your children actually chew and swallow them and don't leave them laying around anywhere to be found by your pup. 5Good vitamins but not for all taste budsI have to say that these are one of my favorite vitamins when you read the ingredients. My 3 yrs old absolutely loves them. I remember to give it to him every day because he ask me for it. Just for fun I give him one and he begs for a second one :). However, my 4yrs old refuses to eat it. I am the one begging him to take it but he will not swallow it. I have to buy another brand that I don't like as much for him. I have to say that I tasted the vitamins and I do not like the taste. I will continue to buy for my 3yrs old son though. 4The taste isn't the best but they also aren't nastyI have ordered these serval times and will always make sure my kids have them. They are second to none of the other kids vitamins we have used or researched. They contain a lot of herbs my mother takes to fight her terminal illness. The taste isn't the best but they also aren't nasty. My kids actually seem to like the flavor so maybe it's just me. Overall I'd recommend to anyone! 5My 2 year old son loves these.I got these for my two year old son, to make sure he is getting all the nutrients he needs. We were originally using a different brand, but thought we would try something new. He really likes these vitamins, and actually asks for them each evening. He even tries to get extras in the morning. He seems to like the taste (though, honestly, I was not a huge fan myself, it tasted slightly metallic to me).They are a nice small size, so it is not too much for him to chew. He has been on them for about a month now, and I have noticed him getting slightly less sick at daycare. I am not sure if this is a coincidence, or if it is because of the switch in vitamins. My son also likes that there are a variety of animal shapes, which we can use to help with "what sound does a ..... make". Overall, we will most likely purchase these again once the first bottle runs out.Amazon's "Verified Purchase" indicator shows that this review matches an actual product ordered and delivered from Amazon.I have been working recently to try to write detailed reviews based on my actual experience with these products, as a wife and mom in her late 30 s. This would help me greatly to know if I am making a difference with the effort to write better reviews, and be a better member of the Amazon community of buyers. 54 year old says red and purple ones taste like throw-up We ve used Nature s plus kids multivitamins for 2 years. My boys have always loved them. I was tempted by not having to buy a sewerage probiotic so I ordered the GOLD version of kids multi. My 4year old tells us the red and purple taste like throw up. The only saving grace is both my boys like the orange ones.I wish I could return this $25 bottle of vitamins. We re just going to use up the orange ones and throw out the rest. Bummer. 2
