Awesome! Stays up. Allows bending. Doesn't pinch. Easy to put on. Found it after trying 2 others and love it.Awesome brace! I have arthritis in my knee and it hurts to walk. The MD says I'm about 4 years out from a replacement. I don't plan to sit for 4 years. I discovered that a brace with side stabilizers would hold my knee in stable position so that the damaged areas would be less likely to rub against each other which eases pain significantly. I need to wear the brace sun up to sun down. I tried two other braces with stabilizers. One was comfortable, but wouldn't stay up. The other would stay up but would pinch like heck after awhile and would limit bending. Then I found this one. It is awesome. It stays in place. It bends easily. It doesn't pinch - I have actually worn it on 4 transatlantic plane rides with no discomfort. It holds my knee in place so that I can do my two mile walk with little discomfort. If I put it on just right, I can be almost pain free. It goes on by wrapping around your knee, not like pulling it up like a sock. I love this brace. However I must give two warnings. It takes forever to dry after washing, so, if you are like me and need to wear it all the time, buy two of them so you can have one to wear while the other one dries. The second is that it is warm. I was extra hot wearing it out doors in 90 degree heat, but I was quite willing to be warm to be able to walk around without pain on my recent trip to Europe (no bragging intended). It does show up on airport scans, but after a short personal exam, I was passed thru. Oh, one more caveat - stairs are not conquered by this brace. Somedays stairs are no problem and some days they are. I haven't figured out yet what makes the difference but the brace makes them a LOT easier to do even on bad days. 5Best I ve found for side support.I had a torn meniscus so my knee kept slipping & locking in a painful position. It had become a daily occurrence. While waiting twomonths for surgery, I tried at least four different knee braces before finding this one. The flexible metal bands on each side kept my knee stable, even while hiking. And because it s neoprene, I was even able to scuba dive. (Probably not great for the metal bands, though...) I m now post-surgery & use it to hold an ice pack in place. The only drawback is that the edges of the Velcro bands ended up in the inside of my knee & rubbed a hole in the opposite leg of my pants. I solved this by wrapping a second, soft brace (like an Ace bandage) over the Velcro. Not stylish, but effective. 5Comfortable enough to play racquetballI had a small meniscus tear in one knee - not enough to operate but enough to stop playing for couple months to let it heal a bit. I just did not want to wait several more months for it to heal completely, so I got the brace - it practically eliminated all pain and did not allow injury to get bigger. I do not recommend you do what I did - it is probably not a great idea to keep playing with an injury - but that was my decision and this brace is perfect for my needs. I am not sure if meniscus will ever heal completely for me, but this brace has let me play without surgery or pain for the last couple years , so I am happy enough to get a second one when velcro started to get a little less sticky on one band. 5great braceI have had knee problems since High School sports, I am now in my mid fifties. I have used a variety of braces over the years. I have stretch tendons and now finally Patella Osteoarthritis. I have been avoiding surgery, doc wants to do a tendon release. I have used many braces over the last 35 years. This last flair up about year ago I had to get shots and start wearing braces for anything more than walking around the house. The doc prescribed Genutrain brace; Genutrain was the worse brace I have worn besides walmart specials. The Neo G knee brace is fantastic. I have only worn it for a month. I wear it almost everyday; Out working in the yard, climbing up & down ladders doing construction projects at home. This brace can be worn all day long (16 hour days) and is very comfortable. The brace sometimes will slip about 1/2 inch but is easily readjusted with just a small tug. The brace still allows full movement. I still wear a heavier duty brace (McDavid) for more strenuous activities. The Mcdavid brace has cross support both above and below the knee, but I can only wear that brace for about 3-4 hours. With the McDaivid I also wear an inner liner that keeps the brace from rub my skin raw, I do not the the liner with the Neo G brace. The mcDaivid also restricts movement and bunches up behind the knee. I have not been brave enough to try the Neo G for heavy duty activity. but it would probably work just fine. THe Universal sizing works great; Takes the guess work out of buying the wrong size brace. As far as shipping times from the UK. They are fantastic, just over one week to receive the brace. As long as I can get one year out of this brace, it is worth every Penny, shilling, Euro that it cost. This brace is a must for minimal to at least moderate support activities. Thank you Neo G 5Great Brace but velcro wears out quicklyI have chondromalacia patella(runner's knee) and can only workout now if I wear a brace. I love love love this brace. It's the most comfortable one I own, and I bought the best braces on the market which were much more expensive. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the velcro wears out very quickly. Now the straps won't stay secured, which is very annoying. I came up with a remedy I wanted to share besides giving the supplier a heads up they need to work on longevity of the brace. My brace only lasted a month with daily use until I had to wash it, and then the velcro didn't work any more. You can use duct tape to keep the straps in place. I figured this out after I already bought another brace. Gotta love duct tape!! 4This product was good for a few weeks and then the velcro completely ...This product was good for a few weeks and then the velcro completely stopped sticking to my normal placement so I have to wrap it in weird ways to try and make it stay put. It slips off a lot when I try these different methods of wrapping it where it will stick so it's at the point where I just tough out the pain now and leave it at home when I go to work. I want to say it was a waste of money but I guess 3 weeks of use count for something..but not much. I never washed or anything either, I always wore it on top of my jeans. 2Very comfortableWith leg measurements of 18" above my knee and 17" below, I'm a little too small for 'plus size' knee braces, and a little too large for most 'one size' versions, so I've tried (and returned) several different models before I found one which would stay up and not cut off my circulation. This brace is working for me BUT I'm obviously at the maximum size limit - the elastic has plenty of stretch and would probably go to 20 inches at the top of your leg, but the side stabilisers are so far forward that they're almost on the front of my knee instead of at the sides... There are little velco covers over them and the stabilisers themselves are removable. Also there are two little velco 'dots' at the end of the elastic which are supposed to be on the brace but it's a little tight unless I leave them off, in which case the brace still fits fine (there's plenty of velco at the far end of the elastic and the elastic itself has more than enough stretch) but the dots rub on my leg and I'll have to find a way to cover them. 4Better support and softer/more flexible than other products I've triedThis provides excellent lateral support at the knee while being flexible enough to wear while running. I use these for tennis, after I injured my right knee. My left knee was injured previously and still needs a little bit of support but with this fresh injury to my right knee, I thought I'd have to stop playing tennis for a while but wearing these braces provides so much support that I can play tennis pain-free. I don't wear them while walking and it hurts to walk even a mile. So I was pretty amazed that I could play tennis for 1-2 hrs pain-free wearing these braces. I've purchased at least 6 of these so far. My father-in-law shattered his knees playing soccer as a teenager. He is 65+ now and plays tennis for 3 hours a day wearing these braces. Highly recommended! 5Sturdy and effective.My husband injured his knee at work, for months afterwards it was agony for him to walk long distances or climb stairs. This brace was a god-send. It stabilized the knee, preventing it from twisting or popping out of joint, and relieved some of the pressure and pain he was experiencing.It is sturdy and well-constructed. We purchased this over a year ago and it's held-up splendidly. The velcro isn't bunched or coming apart (he had that problem with a previous brace), and the metal stays haven't torn through the material.Some reviewers were asking how to put the brace on. If you visit the manufacturers website (Neo G UK - sorry, I can't include the actual link) and click on the 893 stabilized open knee support link, and scroll past the product description, you'll find a three part diagram showing how to properly fasten the brace.One word of caution, this brace contains Neoprene, Nylon, Elastane, Polyurethane, Polyester, and Polypropylene. If you have sensitive skin you may want to consider wearing another brace. Neoprene makes me itch like crazy. Thankfully, my husband doesn't have sensitive skin. 5Best brace in the decades I have worn themThe first day worn and I must say I love this knee brace. I have 50+ years of abusive physical labor to my repetuoire?. My knee maniscus in both legs are at worst stage of deterioration and both sing acapella to the tune of just cut my legs off At this point I cannot attest to the wearhardiness of the product but visual inspection tells me it is more well made than some I have used and I fully intend to purchase a second one for the other side. The stays are not as restrictive as some with side pieces and allow good motion but give very much more support and comfort than the other wrap around I have used. I fully expect long and relieving service from this brace, if not I shall return and amend this post.
