She said it's just like the one the doctor orderedI bought this product for my mother. We were having trouble understanding each other. She said it's just like the one the doctor ordered, but much more economical. Easy to understand instructions. Three free batteries in the package. She loved it. It brought tears of joy to her eyes and mine! 5Was Too Loud For My Mom , Even With The Volume DownThis was bought for my Mom who is a elderly woman with significant hearing loss. I want to say that I did try this in my ear and I did not think it was too bad but when she tried it she said it sounded like everyone was yelling and that the noise and everything around her was extremely loud. I turned the volume down as far as it would go and she still said it was way too loud and was giving her a headache. Could it be because she was so used to not hearing much of anything that everything seemed so loud? I am not sure but in the end I had to send it back which by the way went very smoothly with no issues or problems. 3Only problem is he needs oxygen and the oxygen tubes also go over his ears so the hearing aids easily fall off the earsBought for my 95 year old father in long-term care. Without the oxygen they work well. 4NewEar Digital hearing aidI have the constant hissing and ringing in my ears. Went to my Dr. and they recommended a $3000. computerized hearing aid (that my Ins. wont cover). Any way I bought the NewEar Digital hearing aid. It took some getting use to on the noise level (around14 adjustments) I found level 4-6 seems to work for me. Its amazing what I have "not" been hearing. Update after a month and a half I'm still using this device. Buy accident I wore it in the shower (twice) still works I'm on my last batteries. I like it and you cant beat the price. We only ordered one at first, just incase they didn't fit her right, because she has super small ears. She absolutely loved it, so we ordered her a second one. They fit and actually stay nicely in her ears, which I know was a huge problem for her. You can't beat the price and quality. Thanks for helping my grandma hear again! 5GREAT UNDER THE RIGHT CONDITIONSIt's great under the right conditions, so my review is actually mixed. I am in my mid 50's and my hearing is getting bad! I have to say huh and what way to often! I turn the TV volume up way louder than my wife wants it but she tolerates it rather than having to repeat an entire movie to me. My Mother has hearing loss and I tried one of her hearing aids one day and couldn't believe what all I could hear. I was amazed! Not wanting to go the hearing aid route just yet I looked online and found there are hearing amplifiers all over and for great prices! Who knew! With that said, I have to say I believe this amplifier works just as well as a "real" and more expensive hearing aid. Problem is they both amplify everything. In a nice quiet room having a conversation or watching TV is great. I can turn the TV way down and still hear every word, but get up and go to the bathroom and flush the toilet and you will swear you're next to Niagara Falls! Being outside can be great hearing the birds in the trees and kids on the next block playing, but turn your ear into the wind and it's like a jet engine going off! Not a nice experience at all!! There is a volume control but I really can't tell any difference between the settings. It seems to be either amplifying or off. Battery life isn't bad and it seems to be well made. Not sure why they went with the gold ring on the ear plug but with the different tips I would think most people can get a good fit. So all in all and under the right conditions I think you could be happy, just don't stick your head out your car window!!!! 3Great ProductI work in a nursing home and bought this product for a resident. It arrived right on time. Unbeknownst to us the resident only had a few days left to live. The last few days of the resident's life were enhanced by the super ear. He could hear his family talk to him. 5These work very well!I'm a 65 year old semi retired musician. My audiologist told me that I've lost most of my upper range in both ears. I can't hear the TV, normal conversation, movies when we go to the cinema, etc. All I hear is the low end, the bass. I looked at hearing aids that were in the $2,000 - $3,000 range (for each), and my insurance only paid a small portion. I saw these on Amazon, read the reviews, and figured they were so inexpensive, I had little to lose, but I wasn't expecting much. When they arrived, I inserted the batteries & tried them. I could hear clearly! They didn't amplify the bass end so much as they did clarify the high end. Even with the TV volume low, I can hear it quite well. My wife was surprised that even with the TV so low, I could hear it. Once you get used to these, setting the volume is super easy. You can leave them in and adjust the small volume control up or down; there's a small 'beep' that signals each increment. I brought them to an appointment with my audiologist (I didn't tell her how much they cost). She said they were good quality. These are excellent. Bottom line: If you can't afford the high end hearing aid and have moderate - severe hearing loss, these will help. The only drawback is the size. They're a little big, but I don't care what other people think. What's important is that with these, I can hear again! 5I think this works better! I've read that they work for some but ...I recently lost one of my extremely expensive "real" hearing aids but I kept hoping to find it so I ordered this as an interim device. I've not yet found my missing hearing aid but guess what? I think this works better! I've read that they work for some but not for all but it works for me very well. The downside is that it's big, cumbersome, and not as comfortable as my "real" hearing aid was. Also, it's much more visible. But still, I'm willing to put up with that and have decided that I probably won't replace my original hearing aid. But as soon as they make a smaller version, I'll be first in line. 4Highly recommended!This review is for the NewEar High Quality Digital Hearing Aid.I purchased an identical hearing aid for my mother over two years ago and the seller is no longer in business. I paid twice what these cost, so I was skeptical I was getting the same quality. My skepticism was unfounded. This is the same quality product that was sold at a higher price a couple of years ago. Great quality, work perfectly for my mom who is hard of hearing and just needs a general boost in all sound, not a specialized hearing aid designed to boost specific frequencies.She's thrilled to be able to listen to her TV crush, Neil Cavuto without having to crank it up to 11. My family is very happy to be able to come over to visit and not have to shout over the TV or just for her to hear when the TV is off.Of course, one down side is - now she hears all of our wisecracks again. Oh well, the price you pay to keep your mom happy. :) 5
