Brain food for your babe!I only wish I would have started giving my special needs child this supplement sooner. I knew how important DHa was in her formula but when she switched to a food based formula (she s tube fed) I just figured she was getting everything she needed. I was wrong. While watching a video of a mom with an autistic child talk about giving her son dha and how much he improved with his communication and many other things.. I pick up a carton of my daughters formula and looked for dha. None was listed so I immediately ordered this. A month later it was like a fog had been lifted from her brain and she was just so much more aware and communicative and was actually learning new skills. I have no doubts that this supplement was what caused these changes in her. Our brains need fatty acids. Even if you have a healthy normal child that eats a healthy diet it wouldn t hurt to give them a little extra dha everyday. Well worth the money!! 10 stars from this momma!! 5I thought the reviews were a fakeRare that we see such high ratings on a product with buyers claiming miracles but wow. I definitely noticed a change in my son's attitude and focus. He became more calm and focus while talking more too. Even though I don't remember to give it every day, it still seem to help out. I'm not sure of coincidental or it is actually working...I'm just glad something changed in him.It's oil so it will float if in liquid. The strawberry flavor is strong and texture is oily so I mix it with chocolate milk, oj, or on top of fruit sauce. He takes it well. 5If it's stupid, but it works, its not stupid.Read the reviews that mentioned a change in their child's behavior and speech when taking this. Psh! No way can a little fish oil make that kind of difference, except that it does. My non verbal toddler started having fewer tantrums when taking this daily. He started communicating with his baby signs and attempting to vocalize within a week. We are now 3 months in, and although he is not perfect, he is calmer and more focused in his play.Sure, kids get older and their behavior improves. Except we finished our bottle and I lagged in getting a replacement in time. That entire week, we were back to the usual racing around, screaming and tantrums. I don't know what magic is in the bottle, but my child thrives when he takes it. 5REFRIGERATE AFTER OPENINGOk so this isn t cheap but It came in bubble wrap and no box. There was no insert to read. You have to READ THE DESCRIPTION ON AMAZON for a full set of directions. I didn t do that and I didn t refrigerate it because, like an idiot, I READ THE BOTTLE INSTEAD. It made no mention of refrigeration on the bottle. I emailed them and asked because I went back a week later and read the reviews where people said they didn t know it had to be refrigerated after opening. They told me to read the description on amazon. Oh stupid me, I thought they d put all pertinent information on the bottle. Back it goes then! 1We have been giving him the recommended daily dose of this supplement for the past month ...Our son has ADHD, Apraxia of Speech and high-functioning autism. We have been giving him the recommended daily dose of this supplement for the past month and have noticed big changes in his attention and focus. This has been the only addition to his diet/supplement intake, so we believe this is truly the difference. (He does not take pharma drugs for his ADHD either, so that isn't a factor). And since it's strawberry flavored and already mixed into his fruit/veggie smoothie, there are no taste or texture challenges. Great product, highly recommend it! 5Top QualityTaste is not good. However, I put in syringe and my child will take it - reluctantly. I know this is top quality fish oil so I plan to stick with it. My child has autism and after 2 weeks on this product her attention span has improved, she is more mentally alert, and she is attempting to speak more. I decided to buy this product because of the amazing reviews everyone posted about their children showing signs of improvement in some type of development delay. I have a 23 month old son and he doesn't talk, an obvious speech delay and possible autism. I'd say after giving this product to him for about 2 weeks i noticed he was being alot more vocal. He began making new sounds. His attention span improved tremendously. He didn't seem so spaced out like he used to be. An overall change! We are now on his second bottle and today he finally said new words besides "mama" and "papa". He said "up" and "bravo"! This was such a precious moment. If you have a child with a speech delay or any type of delay, you know that any sign of improvement is literally the best feeling ever. I'm so grateful for this product.I saw a few comments about how this product can get messy and honestly that small defect does not compare to the improvement it has given my son.I recommend this 100%! 5PLEASE READ MY REVIEWI am writing this review for every parent that has spent hours on homework pulling their hair out, crying and explaining the same thing over and over only to wonder why their child will finally get it and then the next day almost forget it and like Groundhog Day, you're doing it all over again the next day and the next and the next... My son is halfway through the 3rd grade. I have had him tested for ADD but just haven't put him on medication because I wanted to make sure I did everything I could to help him focus without it. He is not overly hyper he just cannot focus long enough to learn and follow directions. He dislikes doing homework because he knows as well as I do that it will be 2 hours of hell instead of 30-40 minutes of just homework. Let me disclose that I have moderate to severe ADD (not the hyper) and I would not be able to hold down my high-level job without the 30mg of Adderall I take daily. However, I was only diagnosed 4 years ago and wish I would have been diagnosed as a child. Although I did excellent in school and graduated Cum Laude but it was a huge struggle and homework always took forever, even in college. I have seen these same struggles in my son since Kindergarten but they have become more apparent since 2nd grade. So all that to say I know an ADD person when I see one (do homework with one). I was at my wits end and although with a heavy heart I was about to give up and ask the psychiatrist to PLEASE prescribe him the lowest dose of Adderall. I am grateful for Adderall everyday but it is definitely a stimulant and it was the last choice for my son but here I was about to put him on it. UNTIL, I started researching 2 weeks ago and found this supplement. I purchased it with much skepticism but also much hope, praying that it would work even just a little so he wouldn't have to take medication. I read a ton of the reviews and checked their authenticity at fakespot.com, which detected 10% fake reviews, 90% authentic reviews and gave it a thumbs up. Let me tell you that this cannot be a placebo effect because I have tried other things with my son (coffee-slight improvement in focus; Smarty Pants Vitamins-slight improvement in focus; time-out-negative improvement on focus; etc). Within 8 days of him taking this, I actually noticed a DRAMATIC difference in his focus, calmness and homework abilities. I will keep udating my review but so far I have "tested" him twice in math, without him realizing it. I gave him problems from 3 weeks ago that took him 5-10 minutes each for him to HALFWAY understand (while getting down on himself feeling like he wasn't smart and while I was pulling my hair out but also trying not to cry because my heart was breaking watching him feel so bad). Both times I tested him in the past 4 days he completed each problem in under a minute with almost NO help from me and calmly, smiling! And let me tell you that this is not because he learned the problems, it's because he was actually able to focus, understand it, "connect the dots" so to speak, and solve the problem. What I mean by "connect the dots" is this: for example, he could count by 5's to 100 but didn't realize that 65-5 was just counting backwards one time. Or he knew 4x3 and 3x4 separately but couldn't connect that no matter what order you write it, it's always 12. He would always look at it as 2 separate problems and take time out trying to solve each one as such. Those are just some simple examples of basic math and I would give others but my review is already super long. Basically, his performance just in math homework is dramatically better IT'S AS IF HE IS TAKING ADDERALL, but he is not! I have cried twice now, tears of joy. It's as if he brain was rusty and just needed some oil and now the gears are turning freely. I would never write a review about something so important, especially when it comes to kids, and embellish, at all. This is just our experience. If anyone has any questions, feel free to comment and I will definitely respond back. I have been giving him 3ML every night and will do so forever if I can help it. He also notices a huge improvement and has told me that he feels "really focused and concentrated". At $40, this should last 2-3 month for one child. It is so worth it. Thanks for reading my review! A grateful mom 5So far so goodMy son is 24 months and didn't speak at all. I saw the reviews about talking once theit children started this and felt the need to try. Withing 3 days of taking it, he starting vocalizing more and using consonant sounds he was not doing before. It's been a month since he started. No words yet but i see an amazing improvement, more than the speech therapy he was getting for 3 months (which he had to stop for the past month, but will resume) . He is trying to verbally communicate more, he understands more direction from me, waves goodbye now, more attentive and I have less of a struggle for him to go to sleep. I put 2.5ml of it in his morning bottle of milk mixed with a small amount of strawberry syrup and he drinks it like a champUpdate: a month after i caught him knocking on the door and saying "hello" , his FIRST WORD!!! 5Great product!I have to admit, this oil tastes like melted chapstick and the only way to get this into my 2 yr old is to hide it. Mixes well in his oatmeal, applesauce, and pb&j. Maybe I missed it, but I did not see that this product has to be refrigerated once opened.My son is in the Infants and Toddlers program for delay until we can get him evaluated for autism. Since taking this oil, the special education teacher that comes to help said that she noticed a great improvement in him being more vocal and with his eye contact. He also waves now, something he hadn't done before taking this product. However, I think next time I will look for a non flavored oil of this brand, that way it can be mixed with food that isn't sweet. 5
