The best stuff I have triedI first found out I cannot process dairy at about 18 (27 now), so for many years afterwards, if I would ever eat anything with dairy I would take the cheap stuff from pharmacy's, rite aid, cvs, etc. The dairy aid bottles with the lactose enzyme 9,000 FCC units. So If I would drink a glass of milk, I would usually take about 5 or 6 of those to try and keep the gas and stink down. But no matter, after about an hour or two i would still have issues. I figured that is the only option I had, so I stocked up on those bottles. I even bought them in bulk on eBay to try and save some money. Then one day while browsing on Amazon, I noticed these and figured I would give these a try. And its a HUGE DIFFERENCE !! Just the other day I took two of these pills, then sat down with a big glass of milk, had some doughnuts, and then two bowls of cereal. And had no issues at all ! Before i discovered these , i might have a single glass of milk and then 5 pills and then still have issues.So I most definitely recommend these, you will pays a little more initially, but only have to take 1 of 2 pills but most importantly have much better results ! 5I Can Eat Dairy Again!!I love this stuff. I have tried many of the other options out there and they do not compare, at lease for me, at keeping the gas and pain that dairy causes me away like this does. I buy 3 bottles every three months and take each time I eat dairy. I usually only use for ice cream as I use almond milk for cereal.I take about 5 at a time when eat ice cream, I make sure to eat a big bowl to get my money's worth, and I can't tell I even ate any dairy when the time of reckoning comes. Nothing is out of the ordinary. No pain, no gas, no bloating, no cursing that evil dairy, no angry wife having to tolerate the evil dairy's attack on my system, none of that stuff. All systems normal. Without these pills can be uncomfortable to down right debilitating until all the evil dairy leaves my system.If you try it without success try increasing the dose. I could probably get away with less and save some money but I found what works so I will stick with it until something better comes along.I know it won't work for everyone but for this is product is amazing!And no I did not get paid to write this review. I have no affiliation with NOW nor did I receive any compensation from them. I just really like this stuff and love to the sing their praises when I can as it works that well. 5They work for me.This works. I'm not really lactose intolerant, but certain things will give me issues. For instance, several slices of pizza AND a milkshake for desert could lead to problems. Taking one of these ahead of time allows me to overindulge with no penalty later. 5Not much lactase for the moneyI should have read the label more carefully before buying, instead of just checking price per pill...The amount of lactase enzyme in each capsule of these is 1000 units, but Lactaid brand capsules and similar have 3000 or 9000 units and cost roughly the same per pill.Lactaid recommends 9000 units per meal with dairy, but the label on these says one pill with 1000 units is enough. I'm skeptical and not willing to take the risk of following that advice!To be fair, these do contain a couple of other enzymes for fat and protein, but you probably only need those if you find that just plain lactase isn't working well enough for you when you eat dairy.Overall these just aren't a good deal unless you need those other enzymes - maybe. 3Amazing product, highly recommendedI don't know how I lived before finding this product. I am moderately lactose intolerant and most dairy products usually result in tons of nasty gas and bloating. Last night I tested this product out before eating a 16oz frozen custard dessert (Culver's concrete mixer... Oh yeah!!) . I took one cap about 30 minutes before and then a second one right before eating. It was seriously like night and day. I had NO bloating, tooted maybe once or twice the entire night, and didn't wake up the next morning feeling like there were rocks in my stomach. I am really impressed and would recommend anyone with similar sensitivities to dairy to give this a shot. 5I can eat ice cream again!Just a quick review to echo what others have said... If traditional Lact-aid type solutions aren't fully working for you, give these a try. Prior to punchasing these, I thought ice cream just wasn't an option for me anymore. I am sensitive to dairy products, and while lactate enzyme pills helped with a lot of those problems, I would still end up doubled over in pain and spend half the night in the bathroom after eating ice cream. Well, after reading reviews here that reported improvement in that area, I am happy to agree. I took two of these before going out to get a Reeses Cup blizzard-type treat last night, and I am happy with the results. My stomach did seem a little unsettled when I first started eating, but to my surprise I had no pain or other problems with digestion. I'm almost 24 hours past eating the ice cream and no trouble to speak of. If Lact-aid or similar supplements aren't working... Try these. Seriously worth the few extra dollars! I will be buying these again for sure. 4Best for ALL components of dairy!Best out there for those who can't digest dairy. It not only breaks down lascose, but all other components of milk. FINALLY something that helps me with every part of dairy digestion. Tiny capsules that fit in little container to keep in my purse. I go thru a lot of them and no more bloat and tummy aches. 5Read This Before PurchasingTired of paying for Lactaid I decided to try this NOW brand instead. I dutifully read reviews and, pleased with what I saw, I ordered the product. I went to have a milkshake, took two of the NOW Dairy Digest Complete, as per the directions, then enjoyed the shake. Some 20-40 munites later the old familiar cramps started and soon I was doubled over in pain, which is exactly what happens when I consume dairy without a supplement to break down the lactose sugar. It had been many years since experiencing this because I am careful and believed, from what I read, the NOW product would work. Nothing doing. Buyer Beware: This is not a panacea for lactose intolerant folks; I say this only to potentially save you from what I went through, paying for a product that did not work in the least, ruining an otherwise great afternoon. 2I can go out and not worryI wasn't lactose intolerant until I hit my late teens/early 20s and suddenly, going out with friends (or even alone) became a worry. I tried lactaid, but I had a hard time getting past the taste of the chalk-like tablets you could take. Plus, that price adds up.I've only been using this for about a week or so, but I already feel better. I basically eyeball what I think I'm eating. (1 pill = ~1 cup of dairy) For example, if I'm having a latte and say, oatmeal or cereal for breakfast, I take 2. It's a simple formula that just makes everything so so easy. For the first time in years, I don't fear eating and really feel this is what's doing it. 5Effective not just for dairyThis shouldn t say dairy because it really works for any gas-producing food, like milk, hot cocoa, popcorn, Coke, grapes, apples, watermelon, etc. I m on like my third bottle. (Can I say fart in a review? Because woo-hoo! These eliminate the farting.) 5
