There is nothing longer lasting with more capacity than ob ultra.OK, what really needs to be said about these that all women don't already know? They are the #1 most absorbent tampon made, bar none. Nothing else even comes close to the level of absorbency, and when you have to get up once or twice a night to change these during the heaviest flow, vs. 3-4 times with others - or when the heaviest flow days require changing these every hour or two, vs. every 45 minute for other brands (or ob smaller tampons) - why would you choose anything else? That whole thing where they had to stop making them due to toxic shock syndrome because they were TOO long lasting and absorbent is B.S. - that was the result of women wearing them for DAYS because of a light flow -- for women who have a heavy flow and need to change THESE after an hour or two when they fill up, there is no toxic shock issue, these are simply THE tampon that is adequate for handling a heavy flow. I would add also, to forestall any commenters who want to tell me about the 'cup' or 'keeper' options - I tried all of those - they overflowed in less time than the ob ultra. There is nothing longer lasting with more capacity than ob ultra. 5Not the easiest tampon to use, but ok.To be honest I hated these until my hack. In an effort to be environmentally conscious, I chose applicator free tampons and regretted it. It was difficult to insert and I couldn't place it far up enough. Unfortunately that meant leaks. Obviously not convenient when out and about. I ended up using the device to insert vaginal suppositories, as a makeshift applicator. I washed & disinfected it between uses. In a pinch you could snip the top off a regular Tampax plastic applicator and use that as well. There's a company coming out with a reusable silicone applicator and when it hits the market I'll definitely use that in conjunction with this product. I bought multiple boxes, so I'll have these tampons for a long while. 4Love love loveLove OB tampons. They have a small profile, and there's no applicator which I find easier to use. I was buying tampons at my local store which were ineffective and much more expensive for less than a dozen. These are the only tampons that work for me and I love getting the 40 packs on subscription here on amazon. Other tampons either slide down or leak through instantly. For people like me who leak through Super tampons, these are so necessary. Even though I only leak through my heaviest day, it makes a world of difference in the level of comfort I experience, when I don't have to change a Super tampon every two hours. Highly recommend these. They would only be even more perfect if they made them in the Pro Comfort material. 5Excellent quality and less packagingAs an Australian, trying to find quality tampons in the US that don't fall apart in two seconds and aren't covered in a ridiculous amount of plastic packaging is near impossible. These are great! Exactly what I was looking for. 5Try these if you have ridiculously heavy periods!!It seems strange to write a tampon review but here goes. These work better than any other super plus tampons on the market. I can usually soak through a tampax/playtex/kotex in under 1 hour but these actually last several hours on day 1-2! Don't be grossed out by the lack of an applicator. It's not that hard to get used to. I've also tried the regular and those are really good as well. But, I prefer these for the longevity! 5Best Tampon EverWriting a review for a tampon is not something I ever thought I would do. But, I suspect that other women out there, like me may be skeptical about this brand, or the fact that tampons are inserted applicator free. Well don't be. These are by far the best tampons I've ever used. And due to the fact that I have heavy flows, believe me I've tried them all. I wish I knew this brand existed before, it would've saved me a lot of frustration and money. This is going down as one of my great Amazon finds. Tip: There is a yellow ribbon running through the center of the wrapped tampon that is slightly raised. Pull on that to unwrap. Pull string towards u in a circular motion to expand bottom of the tampon. 5Uncomfortable experience from beginning to endWanted to do my part for the environment by switching to a tampon without an applicator, for times when using my menstrual cup is not an option. These are terrible, and would never recommend them. They re so bad, I might even just throw them away.Ironically, they come wrapped in plastic. Yes, for sanitary reasons, but couldn t they use something biodegradable? Also, they are THE WORST to open. I have no fingernails, and it takes me a good minute or two just to open them. I m pissed off enough on my period, I don t need anything else stressing me out lol.Also, they are extremely uncomfortable. It feels like when I had a tooth extracted and they shoved my mouth full of gauze... except up your chach. These are so much easier to use & environmentally friendly, not creating applicator waste and bulky wrappers. They work better than any other type of tampon I have ever tried.No embarrassing failure moments 5Dependable coverageOB has been my go-to brand of tampons for 30+ years. I've tried Tampax & other generic brands, but other brands never seem to provide dependable coverage. These are a non- applicator, so if you've never tried tampons without an applicator, it may take some getting used to. They are more convenient to carry in your purse because you don't have to carry the bulk of the plastic applicator, plus a little better for the environment with less plastic waste. Each one is individually wrapped with a thin plastic you pull to open.I like the original OB tampons, but I do not like their "Silk touch/ Pro Comfort" tampons as much. Look for the top left of the box to tell you which ones they are. The silk touch are smoother to use, but I don't think they hold as much, so you may have to change more often.Prices have really jumped for tampons, so if you see them on sale, stock up if it's a product you will keep on using. The multi-pack is nice with the different sizes so you can have the regular, super, & super plus so you can have a variety for the different needs of the days. Note: they also make an "ultra" size that is the largest for heaviest days, but that one is not included in this pack.Hope this review helps. Happy Shopping!P.S. Not only are they cheap (they cost about the same as tampons at the bulk store), but they don't have an applicator. This makes them smaller (easier to put into a pocket or small purse!), more discreet, and better for the environment! They also come in ultra, a size that I never even knew existed. This size has changed my period game. I no longer have to change my tampons every 2-3 hours; I can now go 4-6 hours running to the bathroom! If you're looking for the collection power of a cup but the convenience of a tampon, choose these! 5
