Delicious, perfect for on the goI have been using this soup for years! When it goes on sale I always stock up because it tastes great, is good on the go, easy to open and no crushed cans!Each individual serving has a twist off cap and they re packed in cardboard cases so no worries of dented/compromised cans!I love the taste and it is thick and creamy. I would not say as thick as Panera s tomato soup but much better than the campbells creamy condensed or similar. The textured and consistency is very nice. I bring these for lunch all the time and sometimes as a quick snack during the day. Lycopene in tomatoes is a superfood and for 130 calories these are a great source while at work or otherwise on the go. They re small and compact enough to travel well and will fit nicely in a large mug for quick prep at the office.I also use these to mix into other dishes when I am cooking. For a powerful meal I ll combine this with diced cauliflower, other veggies and it really thickens up nicely. The best part is no one knows they re eating cauliflower just the amazing taste of this soup they always think it s just white rice.However you prepare it you'll enjoy the taste and be happy with the packaging. I have never had any issues with expiration dates. I typically finish a box (12pk) in about 3mo and I will buy a 2-3 at a time. For most foods sealed like this it s safe to go a few months to even a year beyond the expiration date. But should you find expiration is near call amazons customer service they are great and will find a resolution to the issue. I have had a couple problems with expiration or damaged in transit and never had any problems with getting the issue resolved.5good product, real ingredients, good tasteGreat tomato soup. My family has really been enjoying this product. I like that it's organic and it tastes great. Good thickness and flavor.We're fine that it's a low salt product, but note that it does taste a little different. They do make a regular salt version which has twice the salt if you want what we think of as the normal flavor. Since the grilled cheese you eat with this isn't exactly a low sodium food, I'm happy that we're made the choice to eat a soup with lower sodium. Since we've had it a couple times, I think we've quickly adjusted to this soup's flavor! I don't really understand why people are complaining about the sugar. I can't find another tomato soup being sold that doesn't have the same amount of sugar or more (Campbells, Campbell's more fancy ones, Progressive, Amy's, Annie's, Healthy Valley Organic, Wolfgang Puck, etc). The only one I found with two grams less of sugar is the "Pacific Foods Organic Hearty Tomato Bisque" which is thicker than what I call a tomato soup. The red pepper & tomato soup that is not reduced salt has the same amount of sugar. The way people are complaining, you would think they stuffed this version with extra sugar, but they did not. Without the salt I think you do taste the sweetness more, but it's a normal tomato soup sweetness.Beyond all that, it's a good soup with real ingredients that tastes good too. My family likes it a lot and we do suggest it. These cartons are about twiice the size of a can, but it is the perfect size for our family. If you like tomato soup, I really suggest you try one of the ones by Pacific foods. They're really good!5Not the same product as before!I have always bought this product from Costco and loved it. So I was surprised and happy to find it t such a great price on Amazon. However, this is definitely not the same. I don't recall if the other was low sodium as this is but this has absolutely no flavor at all. Now I have 12 cartons to trudge through rather than enjoy. What a disappointment.1Love this soup!!My mother in law introduced me to this brand and flavor and I will never go back! I have bought several different flavors of soup from this company and have been impressed. Even my husband loves them! To me it isn't spicy but it has just enough to give it a kick. I got it when it was on sale and paid what would have been less than a dollar each which is a great price! The ounces is the perfect size and they are so easy when you need something quick!I brought these with me camping and a recipe I was cooking with called for tomato sauce, I didn't have that so I used some of this and it worked great. If you are a tomato soup person I would recommend this brand every time!5Not to pepperyI tried the regular tomato soup with peppers first and thought the low sodium version might be better for me. Unfortunately some how the pepper portion of this seemed diminished along with the sodium. It is still good however I was looking forward to the tomato and pepper taste. I like the packaging, no cans. I was brought up on canned foods; some store bought and some home made. The recent findings linking aluminum cans and Alzheimer's is of course concerning for me. I have attempted to strip all the canned goods out of my life with only a couple of exceptions. This type of packaging is making my life and pantry better.4Tasty, versatile soup.This soup is really tasty. My husband thinks it needs a bit of salt (duh, it's low sodium) but I think it tastes nice as it is. Makes a good starter, or a main course for lunch, or with a bit of bread and/or salad, even for dinner. A friend of mine suggested mixing it with a thick lentil soup, which tastes great. Or sometimes I just throw in some lentils, peas, or beans for a heartier meal.Nice to have it in the pantry, because it's so versatile.4This soup is delicious, but I did a comparison ...This soup is delicious, but I did a comparison to Trader Joe's Roasted Red Pepper soup and this appears to be the exact same thing. The TJ product is cheaper and in a larger container. These containers are perfectly sized for a quick snack at work, though.5LOVE IT !!!Love It ... just what I need for this freezing weather and how convenient....the amount is just perfect,,,I add in a couple of slices of fresh garlic for my heart and a touch of "turmeric" for heart and health and...what can I say. The flavor is so smooth,,,,it's organic and the size is perfect for one person every day or whenever. A larger size/amount would have been great also, but this will work for me.5Soup & sauce goodnessAs creamy & satisfying as the regular sodium.Did not notice the difference between this low sodium & the regular, I usually buy.I discovered this at Costco a few years back & tried it in protest bc I do not like tomato soup.Oh, sweet chefs of soup goodness! It's like Alfredo sauce & roasted peppers had a soup love child.It's creamy but not heavy. The nutritional info lines up on fat to calorie ratio so low fat.It has a little sweetness from red peppers, like produce sweet not sugar sweet.I have done everything with this soup from drink it directly from carton, which appalls my other half AND my mom, when I'm famished.Add it to sauteed red onion, garlic & capers, anything you would make sauce with, & serve over pasta.The picture is capers, olives, spinach & shrimp over Barilla organic spaghetti which I get thru Amazon.I've heated, added cheese & served as party dip with Late July chips. Fan favorite.It is so amazing & filling on its own, it needs no seasoning but if you get it & notice the low sodium, just add salt.It's no longer at Costco & now, $5 a carton at grocery so if you can get a deal here, grab it.You won't regret it.5Good taste, less saltThis soup is a creamy tomato red pepper bisque. There is nothing floating in the soup. You can't taste too much red pepper. I like that is is lower salt and that the screw top makes it resealable. This is a lot of soup. It's a rather large box. I get 4 cups of soup out of one box. It's nice to have a shelf product that wouldn't be bad right out of the box if you couldn't heat it. I live in a hurricane area, so we always have food available that doesn't require a can opener and that would taste ok "as-is." Very good for taking on boats, campers, or for something quick to keep in the car for those on the go. With the round pour spout, it is easy to drink right out of the box. I like it hot. Ready-to-eat, not condensed. Pacific makes a butternut squash soup that is great too.4
