Very Comfortable!I will say I was a little hesitant in ordering these as the pair of orthotics I currently have were made by my doctor s office. I will say these are very comfortable and fit well in my tennis shoes and Birkenstock sneakers without making you feel unbalanced or that you are going to step out of your shoe at the heel. My current casted orthotics are rounded for the heel so I constantly feel like my heel slips because my foot sits higher in the shoes. These orthotics give you a more natural fit in your shoe with the support needed.5I'm convinced these inserts are magic...Before I got this, I had to determine my foot and had to do a wet foot test (wet your foot, shake off extra residue, place on paper or cardboard, snap a photo, then compare to websites for feet to determine your foot type) because I thought I was flat-footed, nope, turns out I have a high arch!I'd been having some foot pain for quite a while and I noticed my shoes over time kind of warp towards the outer sides, which was annoying. I normally get some soft memory foam shoes or gel but they never last. So after the foot test, I ordered this.When I got these (as of this review 2 weeks ago), I was very skeptical and before I did my review wanted to give it some time to wear and feel.At first glance, they curve and when picking them up, they hard, like you tap it on something and sounds like hard plastic/cardboard. I was skeptical because how are these going to be comfortable???To really test these out, I had gotten new shoes, as we all know feet hurt in general but more so with new shoes.These were easy to slip in the shoe which was a plus to the hardness because inner soles are always a bit difficult to put in.After putting on my shoe, I stood up and noticed a big difference in how I stood but also how my feet felt. It was odd, the inserts were so hard, but since it offered support on my arch for the curve it was kind of comfy. After walking in them the past 2 weeks, I figured at first something magical was going on here, but in reality, when you stand, it not only offers support, but your own weight distributes the hardness and the curve at the arch which has open-air below it, now feels like a spring, not in a bad way, but in a comfy way of support. It's hard to describe really other than magic.So short story- got these for my high arch, put them in new shoes to test out, and the pain I had in walking has pretty much disappeared, it's still there slightly and it's weird not wearing them now as it is very noticeable when I don't wear the inserts. If you have a high arch, I would recommend these.I used to love walking and hiking but stopped a few years ago due to pain, but I can actually walk really well in these and feel good while still pacing myself and when I get home to take off my shoes, I don't have immediate pain after taking them off which says a lot to me.5Firm support which these have.Great arch supports, although I wear a 9 1/2 so these are a bit off in where the arch should be. I wish they make an x-large for women who wear up to a size 10.4Helps with PTTD/Flat feetThese have helped me tremendously from my posterior tibial tendonitis/fallen arches pain. It s been a month since I found out I had PTTD. I had this excruciating pain on the inside of my left foot that started below my inside ankle, and radiated under my arch. I could barely walk on my left foot, and nothing seemed to help. The custom made orthotics are way too expensive. I wear these inserts with every shoe that I have i.e. dress shoes, sneakers. In a dress shoe make sure your shoes are roomy since the inserts are very firm, and can make your feet feel tight in a shoe. I wear these all the time until I am ready for bed. If I walk around barefoot my feet start to hurt since there isn t any support. The inserts will hurt your feet at first since the insert is helping your arch being pushed up. It took me two days to get used to them, but I did notice the pain drastically went down overnight.5First impressionThese inserts are supposed help with planters at first impression I thought they were going to be too high but actuall they fit perfectly . They feel really good as to cradle your heel very snugly and giving you support. It didn t add much bulk to my tennis shoe even though it look like it would5Good design and qualityI got the XL size on these and they are just large enough for my size 11 feet, so I'd say that the sizing chart provided is spot on. I've been wearing orthotic insoles for backpacking for decades and a recent ankle injury and subsequent surgeries made it so that I have to wear them for pretty much everything, so I'm very familiar with many brands and products out there.These insoles are the real deal. If you've never worn orthotic insoles you may be tempted to think that you need them to be super soft, but not really. You want good support on your arch and you want to be able to lock your heel in place so that you get the proper support on your ankles and on up. Another common misconception is that the insole should support your arch near the front of your feet. Actually, the support needs to be farther back almost right below your ankle bone. If the insoles feel a little weird that way, that's normal and it will take a few days for your feet to get used to it.Anyway, these insoles have everything you could want in a 3/4 insole. Good heel and arch support, and they're made of strong yet light-weight materials. One big advantage of the 3/4 insole over the full length one is that if your shoes don't have the extra room needed for a full orthotics insert, the 3/4 insole requires less room up front in the toe-box because most of the extra volume is farther back.These are good insoles that compare favorably to the brand-name ones out there in construction and design.5Buy these!Already in love with these. So comfortable I wear them in my socks around the house. I plan on buying more so I can leave them in my shoes that I wear often. I really am glad I bought these and they are much easier to wear than the full foot ones.5Outstanding orthotics for the money. Exactly what I was hoping for.These insoles are rigid and very lightweight. They may be fiberglass. They fit my feet really well.5Foot saver!Although these are made of a rigid material, they are very comfortable and exactly what my feet needed. I have a problem with over-pronation and softer insoles just never held up. I can finally end the day without aching feet, legs and back!! I will most definitely purchase this product again.5Why did I wait so longI had immediate relief when I first stuck these in my shoes, and after wearing them consistently I have been able to build muscle strength back in my knees and hips from where my over-pronation was causing the wrong muscles to fatigue from compensating. I also can where these in my flats, running shoes, flat and medium-heeled booties. Very pleased.5
