Great essential oil spray Essential oils can eat through plastic bottles and clog the spray pump. But this product continues to work very well because the bottle is glass and the spray pump is robust enough I have had no problems. 5Piece o' crud atomizer...DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!When I first tested this bottle I just spritzed it a few times, and it was fine. Didn't give it another thought, added my orange oil and topped it with water. Went to use it last week, spritzing the inside of my car. YIKES!! After 3-4 spritzes it started dribbling out, drops of oil/water everywhere, my finger got wet, etc. Put it aside and tried it out again today. SAME THING! I see at least one other review complaining about the same problem. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM!! I was hesitant to initially purchase because it's price was pretty high. Now I'm very sorry I purchased!1LOVE THE COLOR Since I am exploring the world of essential oils and wanting to try my hand at mixing oils for various uses around the house, I wanted to find a company that offered spray mist bottles at a competitive price. When shipped, this company wrapped the bottle in bubble wrap and enclosed it in an appropriately sized sturdy box. This prevented any possible damage that could have happened during shipment.As you can see, this bottle is a round 4 oz. cobalt blue colored bottle. The cobalt blue and the amber color bottles help protect the contents from harmful UV rays (my number one priority). Included with this bottle is a white polypropylene smooth fine mist sprayer with a topped clear styrene protective hood. The superfine mist is perfect for the distribution of most all products one can mix with essential oils.As with most misting sprayers (including cleaning products purchased at any retail store), I am assuming this sprayer will eventually become clogged due to the buildup of the oil residue. This does not concern me; because I have learned how to remedy the problem should it ever occur. All you have to do is draw some warm soapy water and place the mister with the tube still attached in the warm soapy solution, let it soak for approximately 5 minutes, then lift the head of the mister leaving the tube in the soapy water, and pump the sprayer. If it s still clogged, let it set for 5 more minutes and repeat. Continue doing this until the water begins to spray through (make sure the water stays warm). It doesn t have to be a strong mist, just enough to begin to unclog the mister. Allow to sit for another 5 minutes and spray again. Continue doing this until it becomes clog free. Make sure the water stays warm as this helps in softening the oils and will disburse the oil into the water leaving the mister clean. After clearing the clog, thoroughly rinse the mister attachment in clean water by inserting the tube in clean water and pumping several times until you feel that you have rinsed it well. Then raise the tube out of the water and spray until all the water is gone. Dry the misting attachment thoroughly and recap your bottle with it; and you re done.When using the bottle, simply fill the bottle with desired contents. Wipe the threads of the bottle and spray top with a clean top to ensure the threads are dry and free from any liquid or dust. Then screw the sprayer/mister top securely onto the bottle.I think this size sprayer bottle will be great to use for perfumes, air fresheners, body mists; etc. It holds 4 oz. of liquid (approximately 120 ml; C)I received this product at a discounted rate to review, giving you my honest and unbiased assessment of said product. They are glass, some items are misleading saying 'glass-like', but these are actually blue glass. The bottles are heavy duty with a fine spray atomizer and an appropriate length tube leading to the sprayer.I read another customers review saying the bottles came heavily scented in something toxic... mine were clean, absolutely no scent - toxic or otherwise. 5Trash the sprayer Sprayer does not spray with a fine mist. It sprays out out a thin line of liquid. Changed out sprayers with a better fine mist spray. Bottle is good. 4Works great, way overpriced though... I make a lot of homemade products and with essential oils it's important to get glass bottles. This one works great, I used it to create a lavender vanilla room spray, and am about a 4th of the way through the bottle without any issues in performance.Here's the caveat though: This is way overpriced for what it actually costs to make! When I purchased it, I literally paid over $7 in ignorance for ONE 4 oz. spray bottle. There's a specialty bottle (google the name for the website) company online that will sell the same quality containers at wholesale pricing. Each 4 oz sprayer on the website cost me just $1.23 (big fricking difference, right?). I purchase 20 from that site, and over 60 bottles, and even with shipping, I still paid less than $1.50 per item. You literally CAN'T beat that.So don't get taken by sellers that are re-selling whole sale product on here at a massive increase, if you're just looking for one bottle, go for it. But if you're using these for gifts or need multiple, look elsewhere. 3Love it! (Updated...See Below) This is a great little spray bottle. It works exactly as expected. It is the perfect small size, is comfortable to hold, and easy to spray. It works great for my eucalyptus and distilled water mix, which I like to spray around my home. I like that it sprays in a fine mist that disperses evenly through the air (as opposed to more concentrated "bursts" or "streams" of liquid). I also like that the bottle is a thick, dark glass, which is supposed to retain the properties of essential oils. I always give it a good shake before each use to avoid clogs. Exactly what I was looking for...may purchase more in the future. :)Update: I originally gave this bottle 5 stars, however after owning it about a month (and only a few days after writing my original review) the pump gave out. It now sticks down (does not spring back up after each pump). I liked the bottle well enough to order two more. I will see how those last and try to remember to update this again. If they last, I will change my star rating back to 5. However, if not...Update 2: "Not" it is! :( Neither of the two bottles I ordered would spray...wouldn't draw liquid, no matter how many times they were pumped. I'm not sure whether it was the oil/water mixture causing the problems with these bottles or what. I wouldn't think so because, although there really is no description of the bottle to say specifically "how" it should or shouldn't be used, the title of the product clearly indicates that it is an essential oil bottle and, in fact, it comes form an essential oil packaging supplies company. So, I don't understand why it wouldn't work for this purpose. Maybe all three of my bottles were simply defective, but that seems a bit unlikely. At any rate, these are just a few notes others may want to evaluate when considering this purchase. I am returning the last 2 bottles I ordered. I have already contacted the company regarding the matter, and to their credit, they are returning them for a full refund and not charging me return shipping. 1Spray should be in a mist form I put coconut oil ( in summer) olive oil ( in winter) into the bottle and keep it at my baby's changing area. I only apply these oils to her. I believe this is why she has not had a single rash since birth. I apply it generously every diaper change without fail. I takeIt with me when I am out with her so.. She is never changed without this. I like this bottle because it is not messy, no leakage, traveling with oil is easier. One thing I would like to change is that I would absolutely loved the bottle if it spray came out in a mist form. 4Perfect for making essential oil mixture! ButI got this bottle to make mixture for my skin. I use essential oils and so I didn't want to use plastic container. It sprays mist and works wonderful. I will definitely buy this one again. <------- this was written when I just got it and used it once.When I tried to use 2 out of 3 bottles I got for the second time, the spraying part started spraying tiny tiny tiny mist and started leaking from the side of the spraying hole, not mist, just running liquid. I'm so disappointed I basically wasted money for one time use. Never buying it again.2Very disappointed. I bought this spray bottle to use with homemade magnesium oil spray. I dissolved the flakes according to directions (all the flakes were completely dissolved) and used this for a couple months, but then the spray mechanism clogged up. We took the sprayer apart, but it's not possible to get it going again. I would be careful what you use this for, or maybe buy a spray bottle in a store where you will be able to return it if it is defective. I am pretty disappointed, as I preferred having a glass bottle to plastic, and this looked to be such good quality. 1Defective. Leaks. Bad Plunger. I purchased this item from Greenals. The items leaks because it does not seal, and it does not reverse plunge to reload liquid. I purchased this to spray water with a few drops of essential oil.The bottle I received has a lip immediately below the threads on the neck of the bottle. It takes just a quarter turn until the sprayer stops threading onto the bottle. This prevents the top of the neck from compressing to the inner top of the spray mechanism. When you shake the bottle, it leaks through this non sealed area.The plunger for the sprayer does not return to the up position almost every time I use it. I've un-threaded (even though it is not sealed) the sprayer in case there was a vacuum issue preventing the plunger from returning to the upward resting position. It does not return even in room pressure. I have to grab it and pull.A genuinely frustrating product as delivered. 1High quality glass, low quality pump I bought this to replace and old plastic spray bottle and high hopes, but this bottle fell short. The nozzle gets stuck in the plastic casing when pressed down and it takes some effort to get it back out. The pump mechanism is garbage, which defeats the purpose of a spray bottle. Save your money and find a better bottle 2
