Comfortable, Easy to UseExactly what is in photo... a wrist brace that goes on with ease... two adjustable velcro closures; one between thumb and fingers and the other around the arm that pulls those four bungees to desired tightness. I personally got this to actually play roller derby in... after breaking a wrist I thought I would wear beefier wrist guards than the short little ones they sell for active sports like skating. They work great but fabric is pretty thick. The material is squishy, kinda pillow-ee. I'm sure it's very comfortable for a tender wrist injury but makes for using while skating VERY SWEATY. Wish that ProCare would make this exact design with breathable fabric or mesh. 4It is very comfortable, yet keeps my wrist straight.I bought 2 similar wrist braces. This one and the FLA Soft Fit Suede Right Finish Wrist Brace. Even though the FLA one was very similar in design and function, its quality was about half as good as the ProCare one. I could tell the material on the ProCare was much better made, with a higher quality cushioning, and feel. I had also gotten a shorter brace that was really comfy, but being so short, it didn't keep my wrist as straight as I needed it to be. So the ProCare was perfect. And as I left it at the health club last night, only having it for a day, I now will order another one. sigh... It wasn't in the lost and found, so I guess whoever found it, liked it too. 5Newer isn t always better! Had to learn the hard way!!!!!Amazing fit and support! I had tried this exact brace previously as my wife had been having issues with carpal tunnel and was prescribed these braces from an orthopedic surgeon. She was instructed to to wear at night to help with her hand numbing symptoms. She claimed that they worked and fit well and after trying it myself, I had the same positive experience. The issue was that these braces were several years old so I thought that there must be a more effective brace due to the advancements in technology and medicine. I began searching on Amazon and found a brace with almost 100% feedback and felt that the newer style brace must be an improvement from the older model. I couldn t have been more wrong. The new 3 strap brace was tight, uncomfortable and did not support my nearly as good as my wife s old beat up and worn out brace. I knew then that I had mad a mistake. I returned to Amazon with the hopes that I could find that exact brace but had doubts because of the age of the item. To my surprise, Amazon carries the brace and at a great price. I am now a believer in the old adage, if it isn t broke, don t fix it. The pains is greatly improved and the support is perfect. I have severe arthritis in my left wrist and was seriously considering going on disability until I could get my symptoms in check. I now am more than happy with this brace and feel like it is giving me a second chance at prolonging my career. I will be buying another so that I can clean/wash between rotations of use. I don t have a huge hand so the one size fits most was a perfect fit. If you have larger hands, go with the extra large. Thank you and good luck with your wrist pain/numbness. 5This brace worksI sleep in 2 of these, one on each wrist. I tried the smaller, compact, less conspicuous wrist supports from the discount store. Sometimes I wear one of the smaller ones in the daytime, but at night the smaller ones don't immobilize my wrists like these do. I was having wrist pain on my left wrist, and my right hand was numb most of the time before I started wearing these at night. If I wear these at night, then I normally (if I haven't done too much yard work) have no hand or wrist pain or numbness during the day. I recently bought a second pair because I also wear them to mow on the zero-turn mower. One size really does fit all. 5Ordered it twice - myself first then for a friend :)We take for granted the little things we do everyday and how we use our hands, that we forget these limbs need to rest every now and then. In my case, I happened to use the right more than necessary, causing the inside part of my wrist to ache and sometimes the pain would radiate higher to my upper arm. Ordered this one right away. I mainly used it to keep my right hand steady, and sometimes at night to prevent my hand accidentally bumping stuff (I can move in bed a lot). The brace is easy to tighten, and I think it stretches enough to cover most hand sizes. Another friend had hand/wrist pain, but she was eventually diagnosed with tendonitis. At first I lent her my right brace first just to let her test it out and she claimed it helped lessen the pain already. After she saw her doc, I offered to buy her the left brace, to which she really appreciated the fit and comfort it gave her!There's 2 hard parts -- one keeps the area from your wrist to mid forearm in a neutral straight position, and another that slightly elevates from the wrist to mid palm of your hand. There are multiple small rope bands that wrap around your forearm and are secured to one velcro. Another velcro goes above your thumb to also secure it in place. The inside is lined with a soft cloth, had no problems with itching or whatsoever.Had no problems with my right hand since, but I use it every now and then when I do something strenuous or repetitive to remind myself about proper alignment and taking care of the body. 5Great quality and support, very adjustable for med-large handThis is both quite comfortable on and also very stiff to support my wrist while I sleep. I have chronic wrist pain, and sleeping in this every night helps tremendously through the next day.Fit: It is adjustable in several ways, which is great. I am a woman, and my hand is narrow, but I'm tall and therefore my hands are larger than many women's. My tiny sisters wouldn't be able to use this.Comfort: it's made with quality fabric and looking that is gentle on the wrist, arm, and hand. I am still adjusting, however, to having a piece of fabric between my thumb and my index finger. Kind of like having to get use to wearing flip flops and having that strap between your toes.Also, having pieces of Velcro means I scratch my face occasionally. I like to sleep with my hands on my face (weird sounding, but I know some of you relate), and the edges of the Velcro on the brace scratch at my face sometimes. That's a bummer, but not the brace's fault. Still, it's something you should know. I may start wrapping a cover over it.Lastly for me, it sometimes catches on my blanket. Not the Velcro, but just the bulkiness of having edges attached to my hands, you know?One more note is from my husband, who has and sleeps in the same wrist brace (yep, again, weird, I know) -- he stays hot while he sleeps and says this makes his hand sweat. Any brace would, so no stars docked. It's just ahead knowledge you may want if you also run hot. I don't have that problem.My husband's used his brace (this identical one) for two years every night, and that's how I knew to get this same one also... So we'd both obviously recommend it if you need a really rigid support.Best of luck and healing to you in your own pain and journey! 5ComfortableMy doctors office wanted me to buy this from him but knew I could probably find it here for less than what I would have to pay with my insurance & of course I did. It is very comfortable & the inside material is soft. I have tendinitis in my wrist & wear this to bed. You can wear it during the day but it is restrictive which it s supposed to be. I have the Futuro too but the ProCare is way more comfortable. If my wrist is bothering me during the day I will wear the Futuro as I m able to do more as it s less restrictive. I don't recommend Buying this item 1why the bulky thumb guard?This is the same product as the surgeon's office gave me when I got my broken wrist cast off, so it's sanctioned by the authorities. However, it's badly designed. It's one size fits all, so it's too large for me. It wraps tight around the wrist (good), but covers part of my hand and restricts my thumb to rubbing against the material of the thumb guard so there's a permanent sore on my thumb. My little finger is also restricted in movement. Someone should design one with a thinner, more flexible thumb guard (it's possible to do!), or even the option of using tiny straps that go between the other fingers rather than the thumb! Who will step up to the plate with this invention? 3Really fantastic, my go-to support every nightI have wrist tendinitis now. I guess mobile phone games really are detrimental to your physical health. I bought this because some of the other reviews stated it was the same thing they received from their doctor's office. I have to say, this brace is awesome. Especially for the cost. I wear it ONLY at night. It's kind of bulky so I use something different for my daytime support. It feels like amazingly cushioned on the inside of the brace and the flexible part along the inside of the arm/wrist is super soft and comfy. I did receive the exact item as pictured, with the velcro banded closure. I think wearing this nightly has greatly improved the condition of my wrist. I rarely wake up in pain now. For a time, I was waking up with an extremely stiff and painful right hand. I think the key components are it is breathable, comfortable, supportive, and adjustable. I've been using it for about two weeks and between wearing a brace constantly (especially at night) and taking ibuprofen on particularly bad days, I've experienced major improvement in my mobility and pain.Again, I wouldn't try to wear this in my jacket or sweater, it would stretch the arm out. But at night, in my pjs, amazing. 5
