Good orthotics, but a few issues.Overall, this orthotics seem to do much better at relieving the pain and inflammation of plantar fasciitis than just about any other product I've tried.But two things mar an otherwise good product. I swear, these were designed by someone that had no idea they'd be used in actual footwear:1. They smell. Badly. Both sets of these I purchased smell like... burnt rubber. Footwear is already pretty smelly, and these aren't helping it.2. They don't do well with moisture. A mere two days' wearing and the top fabric layer starts to delaminate (they work decently again once I tear the entire top layer off). 3Outstanding Plantar Fasciitis supportBought these as my 2nd pair. Original pair was when I was working 12+ hour days on hard concrete and got PF in my left foot. Got thicker shoes, and used these inserts by Profoot. Outstanding heel cushining and support! After 4-6 weeks, pain is all gone! I have heard about people not getting relief from these inserts, but they helped cure me. I think it has to do with your arches, I have a small arch and have noticed from the people that I know that have PF, that if you have a much higher foot arch, PF is harder to cure and might need another type of support. 5Amazing supportive and cushioned heelsI had plantar fasciitis (which I had never heard of, until my arch was so painful) and was recommended to Profoot's Orthotics for the agony. Previously I tried exercise, massage and ice packs - but to no avail, nothing helped. Until I put the Orthotics in my shoes. They proved to be phenomenal - helping my foot, supporting my arch, soothing the pain. I bought several pairs and put on in each pair of shoes I own, including slippers. I will never go without them - even though the pain has subsided and I have forgotten all about the discomfort.I really, really recommend them if you have this pain - and really, even if you don't, they make every pair of shoes extra comfortable. 5EXCRUCIATING PAIN: Have Just Tested In EuropePrior to leaving for Europe directing a student study abroad program, I purchased several different products to test including the ProFoot Plantar Fasciiis Heel Insert. I used these in Rome for 3 days, Florence in 2 days, and I arrived in Verona yesterday. We probably average 6-7 miles per day walking on busy touring days. My pain in my feet has been so severe, so excruciating that I was attributing it to the hurry and length of walking that we are doing surely a heel insert that is specifically designed to aid heel pain would NOT be causing such severe pain, right? WRONG. Last night, I changed to the HeelThatPain insert prior to a one-mile round trip to dinner. The difference was IMMEDIATE. I cannot tell you that the residual pain from the ProFoot inserts is completely gone yet: the pain was too extreme and for too long a duration, but EVERY sign points to those inserts being the sole source (no pun intended) of the pain. Please note: I am NOT a shill for the company that makes the HeelThatPain insert I am a business professor at a major university and I will regularly praise great products and great service because, as an educated consumer, I believe that it is our duty to help other consumers make better purchase decisions. My students are encouraged to do the same throughout their lives and careers. Please note that I will post a review of the HeelThatPain insert in the next few days. But initial experience is extremely encouraging because the night-and-day difference between the two products was so immediately dramatic.Update 1: I have just returned to my hotel in Verona after a mile walk sightseeing with virtually NO PAIN with the HeelThatPain product. These heels are light years ahead of the ProFoot in comfort AND damage to my feet. 1Reasonably Priced - Very Effective for Me in Relieving Pain from My Plantar FasciitisReally helped with my plantar fasciitis. The socks helped but the real difference came when I added the Profoot inserts and used both at the same time. After a couple of months the pain and discomfort are gone. I am still using the Profoot inserts when I go for walks. If I were to start over I would buy only the Profoot Orthotics. They are priced very reasonably compared to simlar products. I get about 2-3 months worth of wear from them. The only issue I have with them is that the sticky spots that secure the inserts to your shoe are not effective for very long causing the insert to move around a bit when taking off your shoe. No problems though when wearing them. A minor issue considering the relief they provide. These are my second pair! 5My heels were hurting so bad a few years ago I could barely standI am writing a review about this product for those who have pain in their feet. I have always used shoe insoles and I do a lot of walking for a living (and I mean a lot!). My heels were hurting so bad a few years ago I could barely stand. After buying a set of these, and a couple of weeks later, the pain finally went away. I always figure the price of these into any pair of shoes I buy. I have no more pain in my feet. I will keep using these as long as they keep making them. I cannot tell you if these will help with your pain, but they certainly did for me. For the price, I would definitely recommend anyone with foot pain give these a try. I will not wear shoes without them. I hope this helps. 5Very ComfortableI really like how these insole are helping my heel. I'm heavy on my feet and my heel finally said ENOUGH! Feels weird when I take my shoes off and walk barefoot. It may take some time getting used to as I feel like U grew an inch or 2. It really works. If these don't help with your heel pain please go see a foot doctor. I'm going to purchase some more as I'm tired of transferring insoles to one shoe to another. LOL! 5Questionable Effectiveness; Less Than Two Weeks Use and DelaminatingI have these in my shoes for the past twelve days and don't believe I am feeling any improvement of my self diagnosed plantar fasciitis due to the insoles.I do believe I am feeling improvement due to stretching particularly using the semi-circle foot stretchers (nice isolated stretch of the gastroc) available here on Amazon.Am thinking that stretching is addressing the cause of the plantar fasciitis while the insoles address the symptoms and the not the cause itself.As to the rating, the insoles are neutral in that I do not believe they increase or decrease the support, pain, and/or comfort.Why a two star rating? The top layer has began delaminating (separating) from the rest of the insole after less than two weeks so am concerned about the insoles durability. Once these break down, I do not believe I would get another pair of these particular insoles.Work on your stretching (I'm doing 3*30 seconds per day) and I hope you get the relief that I am getting. Still won't go barefoot though. 2Pain relief at last.Excellent support. I bought these as a last resort, after trying a few other inserts, and wearables for my painful plantar fasciitis. Within 10 minutes of wearing these, I was relatively pain free, which is great. I ended up getting about 6 pairs of these for all my shoes, and gym shoes, they are that good.It does not cure the problem, (feet hurt if I walk bare feet), but definitely make them pain free whist wearing them. I might just buy a few more pairs, so I always have some on hand in the future. 5Narrow, tend to turn your anklesThese are cheap-o inserts. They claim the size accommodates up to men's shoe size 13. I wear a 13 medium in which they fit loosely. The firm support area is too narrow, resulting in some instability in the ankles- in effect "falling off" the insert turning the ankle slightly. No injury but it's enough to be disturbing.
