Five Starsfantastic5What an AromaBest rice ever, super long with a heavenly aroma.5Strange colorized rice with moldy smellI heard a lot good words about it: fragrant smell can make you eat a whole bowl of rice without needing any other dish to accompany it. But my experience is very disappointed: when I open the bag, I saw yellow colorized rice and I smelled mold. I tried to wash it and boil it, but moldy smell wouldn t go away. I m a lifelong rice eater and I know how much work to put into to harvest 20 pounds of rice! It s too precious to throw away. But what else can I do with it??1Best Basmati money can buy!Beautiful really long grain rice that becomes longer and more luxurious still after cooking.How fortunate we are to live in America and have this rice available at our doorstep at some grocers too.Buy this rice if you want to make pilafs, biryanis, tahiree's or even just simple boiled rice.No rice can match up to its wonderful length, flavor, taste and texture.Of course as is true with any rice, you will need to show patience, discipline and respect for the rice and the recipe.But if you do all of that, you will have a finished rice dish that will be better made out of this rice than any other.I wish the company paid me for this ringing endorsement. But I feel happy enough to do it without any prompting. I will admit when I first got the package from Amazon I felt it was quite expensive for $39.99. Then I made some of this rice and it turned out beautifully - long basmati strands, fairly quick to cook, and fragrant smell. I do think it can be priced better for the future. I am big into basmati rice and this package should be priced around $25-30; compared to similar brands and bag sizes. But with that said... it is well worth the money!
