BEST K CUP as WHOLE BEANFog chasers were my favorite K Cup when I was in college. But as I have been acquiring taste for finer coffee experience and moved on to variety of brewing methods (chemex, pour over, french press, moka pot, aeropress, you name it!) I had forgotten about the fogchaser. I was excited to see this item and bought it on amazon right away. Boy, it didnt disappoint. Of course this is NOT blue bottle, Stumptown, counter culture, etc. BUT it is a very solid option. Reminded me of Major Dickason's from Peets, which is a very reliable and good option. If you haven't tried it, I recommend it!! 5This stuff is good. Every time I need coffeeOK, I am maybe the biggest coffee snob out there. This stuff is good. Every time I need coffee, I go on a scavenger hunt trying to find the next best thing. I have tried Fresh Roasted Coffee, Peets, Don Pablo, Starbucks,and Koffee Kult. Nothing touches this stuff. If you are thinking about getting any of those brands of coffee, dont. Get this. It is the absolute best! 5more flavorful (less bitter) than the SF BAY 'ORGANIC RAINFOREST BLEND'I've been drinking a mix of beans...the ORGANIC RAINFOREST BLEND (25%) mixed with (75%) SWISS WATER DECAF. The combo has been slightly bitter for my tastes, but still very good.I've since replaced the (25%) organic caffeine beans with this FOG CHASER (still mixing at 25% FOG CHASER to 75% decaf), and what a difference!. Much, much smoother result. Each morning, I look forward to waking up and having my (tightly measured caffeinated) coffee while taking a few quiet / peaceful moments before transitioning into the days activities.I use no sweeteners, but add SILK brand Unsweetened Vanilla CASHEWMILK instead of creamer..A suggestion to manufacturer: please consider offering this FOG CHASER as a SWISS WATER DECAF as well as this offering that has caffeine. Then I would have more than 1 cup each day. 5Excellent coffeeI vaguely recall having Fog Chaser coffee during a trip to San Francisco years ago. When I saw it online, I was intrigued and got a 2 pound bag of beans for Christmas. Upon opening the bag, the smell was rich and impressive. The first sip of the coffee brought back some memories of that long ago SF trip.I made the coffee with my AeroPress coffee maker. It generally makes a really good cup of coffee with any coffee beans. But, with this coffee it was excellent. A little more expensive than my regular coffee each work day morning so I treat myself to Fog Chaser on weekends when I am not in a rush.I can't find it locally, but I wish it could be purchased here in Portland, Oregon (and in a one pound bag). With the coffee addiction here, I think it would sell well.As a treat I have brought in small baggies of the beans to select friends at work to try at home. They all have been impressed with the product.Late Update: Was reviewing the Amazon current price (with free shipping). I figured out that this coffee in 2 lb bag is about the same price as 2 smaller bags of my regular coffee from the supermarket during weekly trips. Am slowing transitioning over the all Fogchaser for my coffee needs. Good stuff. 5Love itI'm a big fan of fog chaser. I used to buy the kcup pods but they would go stale pretty quick. I changed over to whole bean coffee using a stainless steel reusable kcup. I'm very happy with the product. The beans are dark and oily as you would typically see in a good dark roasted bean like starbucks. The coffee has a very smoky flavor. I use a burr grinder set on medium grind. 5Great strong coffee!Great coffee; strong but not bitter, good aroma and it will definitely wake you up in the morning! The 2 lb pack is very economical, a little of this coffee goes a long way for me. I just finish a pack today and the last of the beans are just as fresh and flavorful the first (slightly less aroma). I use half as much in my grinder than my previous beans. Consistent coffee, since the days in S.L. 5Extremely drinkable coffee - the best I ve foundI use a burr-grinder and pour-over method for my coffee, and San Francisco Bay Fog Chaser is, in my opinion, the best out of all the different coffees I have used over the years. It is roasted to that perfect point where the richness of the coffee can be extracted without the bitterness and over-acidity of under-or-over-roasted beans. The beans I receive are always fresh and rich in oils with a full enticing aroma. This coffee creates a lovely, smooth cup which is drinkable to the last sip even as it cools. The only problem (if you call it a problem) I have with Fog Chaser is that I have gone from one cup in the morning to 2 and sometimes 3, with an additional afternoon coffee break - it is that good. 5dark almost black - no bitterness - very oily - Excellent chocolaty espresso with less crema than typical.this dark roast surprised me as espresso, no bitterness not even once in my machine, very oily out of the bag. Beans hung up in the grinder hopper once - that never happened before, but just a tap to free them. Very dark almost black appearance. I would definitely try it again. 5Coffee that doesn't taste like coffeeSo I'm hearing rave reviews about this coffee from a coworker. Great taste, nice caffeine shot. Split a whole bean 2lb pack with a friend. He kinda liked it, I didn't. I don't get that coffee aroma or taste when brewed. Mostly I get a hint of fruity aftertaste. Not what I'm looking for. While it did seem to provide a good dose of caffeine, it was too light. Lighter than your average breakfast blend to me. I prefer something with a bold coffee flavor and aroma. French-Italian-Espresso range. 2Great bold coffee!I ordered this coffee after falling in love with another coffee called "Fog Chaser" from San Francisco Bay. This bean doesn't disappoint. It is a VERY dark roast; there was even oil drops on the inside of the bag when I received it. The coffee has an earthy flavor that is balanced without too much bitterness. If you love bold, dark-roast coffee then you should definitely try this one. 5
