Just Recently PurchasedI'm 47 and last summer I got arthritis in my knees and Baker's Cysts in back of both which can be painful when straightening out my legs after having them bent. I had never worn knee braces nor compression sleeves. I did research these and the Sparthos Knee Compression sleeves were listed. Since they caught my attention, I proceeded to read the reviews and see the ratings these received. Pretty much were 4.5 to 5 stars across the board. People were saying how comfortable they were, they didn't slip, and the support they provided. One person even mentioned he had Baker's Cysts and they worked great for him. So, I decided what the heck...give them a try. And like everyone else....I give them 5 stars. They don't slip and definitely have allowed for more flexibility when I bend my knees. I workout doing P90X2, I do Martial Arts, and Krav Maga. Before, the Baker's Cysts limited my range of motion. When I wear them, I have greater range of motion without pain. Thank you Sparthos for making such a great product!!! 5Well made but Ineffective for thinner ppl. 3D clothing tag (NOT shown in images) snags on clothes...I gave this product one star because I felt the website description was misleading and because their photos were edited (a big no-no for me!). Big bummer, because I was so excited about this product line.The first thing you should know is that their sizing chart is off (in general the line runs too large) as per their sizing chart. This item "fit" (wasn't tight or loose) but provided no compression whatsoever.The top of the unit has a nice anti-slip grip band on it, which is the only part of the sleeve that was remotely "tight." Also, *unshown* in the photos of this product is a scratchy 3D clothing tag that they literally sewed right on the front of the sleeves - I planned to occasionally wear mine under clothes (and it snags...); also, that clean "beige" look that I was going for, is totally ruined by the tag they put on.The knit sleeve overall is made well, and if the tags do not bother you and you are not thin, these might work well for you. I wish I could give a review on their compression aspects, but unfortunately, I can go off my personal experience. 1Comfortable SupportI work out daily doing cardio and strength training and I've tried a lot of different knee sleeves. These are by far my favorite. They are the most comfortable for all different types of movements from squats to lunges and jogging. They have silicon strips that keep them in place. I've had them for about 2 weeks now and wear them daily and I have not noticed them becoming stretched out like others I've had. I measured an 11.5 and ordered a medium and if fits well. It's snug where the silicon strips are but it doesn't bother me because it's keeping the sleeve from sliding down. I have constant knee pain during strenuous workouts, and these sleeves lessen that pain. I'm really happy with them. 5<4 Miles/Day: So Far So GoodA buddy suggested I try out the Sparthos compression sleeves as he's been using an elbow sleeve for a few months & swears by it. I got the knee sleeve since I do a lot of running (at least 4 miles per day, depending on if I'm also working out or not) to replace my Copper Fit sleeves (they were ok but deteriorated quickly with all of the activity). After a month of regular running & working out, I'm mostly happy with the switch to Sparthos & will almost certainly buy this pack again.PROS: The sleeve holds up against anything I throw at it. There doesn't seem to be any degradation in compression, hold above/below my knee, or ventilation. I can see going with Sparthos going forward particularly as the cost per sleeve is less than Copper Fit ($10 for CF vs $15 for 2 Sparthos). When I first got the sleeve, I was concerned that the tougher material (closer to cloth than spandex) would limit my range of motion but this wasn't the case. I do everything I used to do wearing a Copper Fit. I might also go so far to say that after my workouts, I don't feel as much soreness in my knee as I regularly did with the Copper Fit. This isn't a dig at CF but I think that Sparthos has figured out how to grip my knee in a comfortable way that allows for stability and early recovery. On a cosmetic note, the variety of colors & the general pattern of the sleeve allows you to get the support you need while looking stylish on a run or in the gym.CONS: Not much to say here. I have been using this in the winter months so I'm wondering how much heat it might trap going for a run during a hot humid day. I haven't had problems in a hot gym so I anticipate that any discomfort I experience in the warmer months will be more me being lazy & less an issue with the Sparthos sleeve. Time will tell. The only concerning thing (that has yet to be a problem) is that I have hairy legs & see hairs popping out of the sleeve at the end of my workouts. The sleeve slips right off without any tugging on the hairs but the day it starts (especially if I'm mid-run) is the day I consider a replacement or other options. 5Compression and comfort at the same time!!!I really like this product. It compresses your kneecap, the backside and your thigh muscles as it gives you comfort while running or walking.Ive been suffering from baker's cyst and knee probs, but with these on, i didnt feel any pain after usual 5k running.It is kinda longer than i expected, i think it's because i am an average asian guy with 178cm height.It stretches and covers from mid shin to upper thigh.A great product!!! 5Great Customer ServiceI got these for myself after my ACL and MCL surgery. They arrived extremely fast. Unfortunately, one of the sleeves arrived with a hole in it - the quality was definitely there, so I assume it was a defect. My boyfriend liked the look and feel of it so much, I ordered him a black pair in his size. One of the reps reached out to me and quickly refunded me for the damaged pair. We are very happy with the product and customer service. The only thing I would change is the big Sparthos tag on the front of the sleeve (maybe embroider the logo on instead?). 5Helps with swellingI was diagnosed by symptoms with a torn meniscus in my knee and working as a nurse on the hard hospital floors was causing it to swell like a melon. This works for keeping the swelling under control and reminding me not to twist the wrong way, possibly causing more damage, and increases my comfort. However, I have large thighs....the grippy material at the top DOES keep it up, but the top digs into my thigh, and becomes very uncomfortable after a while. I'm not sure it's a design flaw...more likely a me flaw. 4Light SupportI'm a 28 year old with an old right knee injury from basketball and horseback riding. I've always had annoying knee pain and worked on it. I don't always need a knee brace, but I like the support it gives me and usually helps for support during a work out. I don't do anything super crazy...usually elliptical for 30 minutes and weights without pushing it. This brace is lighter than my previous ones, but still offers some good support. There is no inner ribbing on the side like some have to support, so it's not the most supportive, but still works well.I think if you want a brace that you need light support and don't have an active knee problem with swelling and inflammation- I think this brace works great. However, if you have an active flare up you may need a little more support.the sizing is a bit strange also. when I measured my knee I fell into a Large...I usually wear a Small to Medium in all my other braces since my legs are relatively small. 3 inches above my knee measured 18 inches which falls within a Large....I ended up going with a Medium and it fits great. You want it to be a bit tight for the support so make sure you consider that. 4Without these I d often be bedriddenSimply amazing if you spend a lot of time hiking and have torn those knee muscles (ACL? MCL? Ask someone with insurance) and all other sorts of knee issues. I m able to walk miles all over my hilly city without my kneecaps popping out. Awesome investment.Tip: If you have big thighs and are in between sizes and size down, knee socks fix that lil muffin top right up. No one ever knows I m wearing them. 5WONDERFUL PRODUCT!!!!!This is part of the letter I wrote the company,because I have had 3 knee surgeries I have been wearing some kind of knee support on both knees for close to 20 yrs. Usually, I have to wear them in to get them to fit and be comfortable but with yours, I took them out of the box and wore them for about 6 hrs before bedtime. I measured for the less atrophied leg, and both legs feel comfortable. I wear them from am to pm and they seem to be perfect.Ps I don t write reviews, hardly ever, but I liked them so much I ordered another set to have when I wash the first set.I hope I continue to be pleased, but so far I am delighted with your product. Infact, if I can scrape up the money, I would like to order the ones for the wrists for my carpal.I also would like to thank you for the beige color! Thank you, so far, for your wonderful product! 5
