Customer Reviews

Great for flat feet but be carefull with the sizing.Obviously, if you have foot pain, etc., go see a podiatrist. I am only sharing my experience which may not be suitable for you.First, note that most people with flat feet have a natural arch when there is no weight on the foot but it "squishes" out when you stand on it. There are several foot problems that develop as a result of this. The ideal solution is to have a podiatrist make a mold of your unweighted foot and have arch supports custom made to match. I did this once and learned a lot in the process. The only downside for me was the cost: about $500 for one set of custom arch supports plus the cost of the initial office visit to evaluate my feet. The custom supports made by a podiatrist will last a long time and have all but cured the variety of foot pain I was experiencing. It is a hassle, however, to constantly switch the supports between shoes and I wanted several pair but the cost was prohibitive. The key to a good insole for this purpose is a solid arch support, like that of Superfeet Blue. The arch support is hard plastic and I've used several pair for years successfully. Note that Superfeet suggest replacement after a year, but in my experience only the cushion part wears out. The arch support, which is important to me, lasts longer. So, I highly recommend these but with one caveat, which is why I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5: sizing. You should not rely on Superfeet's sizing recommendations exclusively. Start there, but the most important part is how the arch support fits your unweighted foot. Sit down, cross one leg over the other and hold the insoles gently against your feet to observe how closely the insole matches your natural arch. I, for example, wear shoe size 8.5 but Supperfeet's size E (for men's size 9.5 to 11) match my arch better than that of size D (for men's sizes 7.5 to 9). I buy the larger insoles and trim the toe portion as necessary.I now own several pair of Superfeet Blue plus my custom supports and all work equally well.4Perfect for slippersI love slippers but they never have any support. These solve this problem beautifully. I can even wear them with bare feet comfortably, just like slipper insoles. The extra large insoles fit perfectly in size 10 Amazon basics slippers without any trimming, as well as my size 10 Tamarac Slippers. They're more comfortable than most shoes I've worn, I love them. The shape and material really supports my arches. Excellent insoles, better than any other I've tried. I love the Moreno wool, it's very warm but it doesn't get very cold in my area. It's also great at sweat management which is an issue for me usually. I do still experience some foot pain but I think this is as good as slippers can get in terms of long term support.5Heavy duty - rigid insole.Very high quality insole. However, for me, these were very rigid and firm. I put them in my soft leather dressy shoes, and you could start to see the upper edge of the heel cut impression on the outside of the shoes. Also, seemed to restrict the natural flex and movement of the shoe. The bottom of the insole at the base of the sole is also quite hard, so it didn't seem to absorb shock as something more cushy might. Great temperature regulation and coziness though. They began to 'break-in' within two days but just felt a little too hard on my even though I have a high inner arch. So, I decided to try the Hunt in grey wool, and those are perfect for me. Even though the hunt and the merinowools are a 'max-thickness' and very similar shape there seems to be way more room in my shoes with the hunts than the merinowools. Also, there's a cushy material on the base of the 'Hunt' under in the center of the heel cup.If the merinowools are too extreme I recommend trying the hunts! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014PB8DXA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I paid 60 bucks for the Merinowools, and you can't return insoles so that's unfortunate. I wish Superfeet had a better way of determining which insoles their customers should try when purchasing online.4Not as good as the green SuperFeet model.I like SuperFeet insoles. I like them so much I've bought a set for every pair of shoes I own. I have used several different models. They are color-coded. Green is the typical and has been the best so far. These, the Merino are the same as the green, but with the added pad of Merino wool. I was NOT impressed. Would I buy another pair of these? No. Would I buy another pair of SuperFeet Greens? YES !! They just hurt my feet in different areas. I know I said they were the same as the green ones, but they just wore differently. Sorry, I can't give a better description. I'll stick with the green3Merino it is!These are so awesome, 2nd pair and I won't give them up. I'm a Superfeet lifer!! Btw these can be trimmed to fit your shoes if needed! I love the merino wool it keeps my feet warm in the winter and does not make them sweat in the summer. The regular Superfeet make my feet slide in my shoes, very uncomfortable and unstable for me. Thanks Superfeet for the woolly ones!5Very comfy insoleI've tried a lot of insoles before I discovered Superfeet, and now, I don't buy anything else. I have several different colors. If you're not aware of the color system, look it up on their website.I just purchases this pair for a pair of work boots and I was blown away the first time I put them on. They are so soft and comfortable. I had gone through 3 other combinations of insoles before I finally put these Superfeet in and I wish I wouldn't have wasted so much time struggling with the rest.Just for the record, this is my 6th pair of Superfeet and it would take a lot for me to try something else at this point.5Merino Grey insoles are very thickFantastic insoles, however while the length and wide measurements are dead on, they are very thick, about 3/8ths inch. If you're planning on putting these into a shoe with a small toe box you may suddenly find your shoes are too small for you after putting them in. If you wish to buy the grey merino wool insoles, which I do recommend, consider getting a half size larger shoe than you normally need. Best way to go about shoe shopping is to buy the insoles first and take them with you when you test fit your shoes.5Good in safety shoesI have to have safety shoes as a CERT on LAFD callout. SOS Survival Products was having a sale on only men s shoes but they started at 7.5 and I needed a 7 to fit my thrifty girly feet. No problem. Adding these made the fit very comfy and breathable. Now wearing 24/7 breaking them in with ease. Glad I discovered them. A spoon is good to leverage out the original soles to match them up for trimming which was easy-peasy. I wear a 8.5 womens sometimes a 9 so got the ones that fit up to a women s 10 and barely trimmed off 1/4 .5Great buy. Love the wool.I have worn Green Superfeet insoles in all of my running shoes, and bought these for my Asolo hiking/mountaineering boots. I bought them for the wool, both for warmth and in case they get wet (so they will retain warmth). I used the Copper ones in my last boots, but they are even slightly thicker than these IMO. They take up a little more room than the Green ones, but I switched to a medium thickness hiking sock to accommodate them. I am going on a 12 day packing trip, so will give an update later. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal unless your feet are uncomfortable. I have been hiking 5-6 miles at a time with a 40# pack, and so far my feet have been comfortable with the amount of padding. I actually went up 1 size so I could trim them better for the width of the boots. Good decision!5The wool footbed is nice. Does help keep the foot warm but here ...Insoles are OK. Nothing spectacular about them. The wool footbed is nice. Does help keep the foot warm but here again nothing to raise praise about. I think they are high priced for what you get. I guess I was expecting somthing more comfortable, hence i feel that they are overpriced.3
