Good ingredients, but something throws off the tasteWhile I like most of the ingredients individually and I like being greeted by toasted coconut aroma when I open the bag, there's something in the recipe that kinda makes them taste cardboardy and off. I don't know if it's specific ingredients that are throwing off the taste or just a bad combination. The off taste seems to come out after the first wave of chewing. Taste is of course subjective, so YMMV...It is about 50 calories per bite/ball, with the serving size being two of them. They are fairly low in salt (1% per bite) and have a reasonable nutritional profile which makes sense since they have a solid ingredients list.Despite having seven lines of ingredients, I haven't found any offensive ingredient in the list. The bag has all kinds of logos, gluten-free, non-GMO, soy-free, etc. It is made in Michigan.3Delicious, Sweet (but not too sweet), and Great for Pre-WorkoutsThese are delicious! I eat one before a workout with a banana and it really helps me pump through it. I'm on a mostly plant-based and limited processed food diet and these seem to be a great choice.One thing to note is that they are a little dry like others say and definitely stick to your teeth. But that goes away after a swig of water and you're all set!5great snack for on the go, if they actually seal the packages properly, which they dont alwaysEdited after purchasing more: The last time I bought these, three of the six packages were opened when they arrived. Nuts were everywhere, all over the box. Very apprehensive about eating food that was not sealed.I have a lot of food intolerances and basically can't eat anything that's straight carbs. These have enough protein that I can digest them great. They're super filling and perfect for when you're running around town and have so few options at restaurants. They're just a little sweet - the perfect amount.1Great to Between Meals!Wow! It says just two of these bites is a serving. Well, they're yummy. So, I ate just two on my 80+ minute commute home, plus run some errands. I wasn't tempted to purchase anything off my list or munch anything else until dinner. Thank you!5More coconuts then cashews but still deliciousI discovered these tasty and filling protein bites at a Home Goods stores about 8 months ago, I love them, and probably have bought and shared 25+ packs. I found them on Amazon, then ordered 6 packs recently but found the packaging had changed a bit and the snack balls have a more thicker outer coconut layer and less inner cashew then before. I am not sure if they changed their recipe or the consistency of each batch is different but it was better when it had more cashew and chewyness. However, if you love coconut flakes and coconut fiber, cashews, brown rice, it is a must try before the gym, an outdoor activity or if you have no time to eat real food but a pop them in snack. These are better than Lara bars.4Just what I ve been looking forMost protein bars are either chalky or too sweet and more like a dessert for me. These are perfect to carry around for an emergency snack or something. They aren t chalky, taste good, haven t melted being carried around in my purse (though I haven t just left some in my car and tested that) and only a hint of sweetness so it s not like you re eating a candy bar.5Clean energy with a good tasteThe GFB protein bites taste good and have a clean mix of protein and carbs that are ideal before a workout. While I don't have any problems with gluten, this is now my go-to snack before taking preworkout supplements 30 minutes before a run or weight lifting. That keeps me fueled up for a typical 1.5 hour workout. I found out about these after tennis player Sofia Kenin ate them during changovers in matches, which suggests they'll provide energy for up to 2.5 hours of intense workouts.5Incorrect protein bites received.The GFB Protein Bites are not the ones I ordered. I ordered the Dark Chocolate Coconut. I received Dark Chocolate Hazelnut. I opened them and started eating before I realized they weren't the coconut ones though. Upon checking the packaging I noticed the box is incorrectly labeled. Luckily we aren't allergic to nuts, so we will still eat and enjoy these. I like the coconut ones better though. Make SURE you check your boxes people. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone with nut allergies.4Bought on a whim, fell in loveI discovered this product on a whim at Marshall s, and now I m hooked! The PB&J flavor is DELICIOUS. They re just filling enough, perfectly sweet without being candy-like, and they have the right amount of chew. I also got a bag of the chocolate cherry almond, which are good, but I love the PB&J most!5Filling and yummyThese GFB bites are so dang tasty that it is hard to not eat the entire bag in one sitting. I and the family love taking this with us on long trips as they offer a healthier option for a snack versus fast food or bags of chips or candy from a gas station store. Not too sugary, but they do satisfy that craving for something sweet, chewy, chocolaty, and a bit crunchy (the ones with peanuts).4
