Delicious TeaThis tea has a nice flavor and brews nicely. It is not bitter and I didn't even need to add any honey or sweetener.5Good tea, not great, not badGood tea. Nothing spectacular about it. I'm coming off more organic and fair-trade teas that generally cost more. I wanted to save some money so I thought this is one of the more popular teas and of course, 50 bags for the price is hard to beat. I think for a daily tea its just fine. If I have guest over, again this tea is just fine. But I think that I'll stick to the higher quality, expensive teas for those nights that I just need a really great cup of tea after a hard day's work. It was just delivered a few days ago and I ve been drinking it everyday (probably should ve gotten decaf though) the taste very smooth, mild doesn t taste like green tea really! The brands I ve tasted were HARSH very bitter/pungent I thought all green teas were like that one reviewer said it best green tea taste like hay and it does LOL. I ve tried several brands and after trying this one I ll never try another. I also have the Green honey ginseng and another winner! You guys are truly the TEA GODS!! 5Great TasteMy favorite Republic of Tea flavor ever! There's a hint of cinnamon that's added to the green tea and gives it an unique flavor. It curbs my appetite when I drink it and has a great aftertaste. Tastes best when hot but I've also brewed cold tea with it, too. I've given up coffee in the mornings because of the acidity and this has been my lifesaver.5A cup of cheep cologneSo far this is one of the rare cases we did not like something from The Republic of Tea.This one has too much fragrance in it that smells like something really artificial.It tasted as if you are drinking a cup of cheep cologne.1Absolutely the worst tea I've hadThis negative review is strictly for the Kiwi Pear Tea only! STAY FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!As some others might have already alluded to, this tea bears no flavor whatsoever to either Kiwi or Pear. In fact it doesn't even taste like green tea at all. It was as if they took some tea leaves and dunked them in strong cough medicine. The result is something that both smells and tastes extremely unnatural. As soon as I opened the canister I knew this was not going to be good.This is definitely an anomaly for The Republic of Tea. I've tried a couple of their flavors out of the many they have and they all have exceeded my expectations. This Kiwi Pear Tea is the first that I couldn't stomach. Amazon listed this item as un-refundable but luckily, Amazon chat support was still able to issue me a full refund.The reason I am looking for a peach flavor tea is due to a friend bringing back from Korea a tea from Osulloc. That peach flavor is one of the most heavenly flavored tea I have ever tried from a tea bag. However, the price is outrageous so I have to look for alternatives.1An outstanding decaf green tea.My favorite decaf green tea. Great value. Super convenient. I love the absence of any string+tag. I throw two tea bags into a ~24 oz thermos in the morning, so any bags with strings+tags just have to get cut off anyway.This green tea has a nice consistent mild flavor. Not intense & gritty like some. Not dish-water mild like others. It's in the sweet spot. And I have never noticed any cases of their decaffeination varying (I am very sensitive to caffeine; my nerves notice when a product is not fully decaffeinated).The metal tins are little works of art; I kind of hate recycling them, but I only need so many pencil / brush / tool holders in one house.This particular Republic of Tea offering is nearly impossible to get from any of the five specialty grocers in my area. So I either buy online here, or sometimes special order a case at my favorite local store (more fuss, but I like to support them too).Tip: Since my hot tea thermos is sized for two tea bags, I do one bag of this every day, and the second bag is whatever stronger flavor I feel inclined towards (fennel, Pau d'Arco, licorice root, ...).5Kiwi/Pear teaI gotta say I love some of the blends and flavors they have but the kiwi pear one was unbearably fake. What I mean by that is that my batch was heavily flavored(more like scented since you cant taste it) to the point that if I opened the tin, my whole kitchen and partial living room would smell like I oversprayed air freshner. I could not get past this heavy odor making it feel very artificial especially considering it did not have any kiwi or lime contents in the bag itself but just "natural flavoring" which is still externally added to the leaf mix to the point its artificially flavored but using "natural sourced flavors".Im all for healthy tea and a bit of natural flavoring doesnt hurt but this was overpowering. Even drinking it felt like I was consuming something synthetic since the taste was non existent but the odor was overpowering. I was a fan of the passionfruit etc mixes but this batch made me move on from the product.1Not decaf!I am just now realizing the tea I received is not decaf. The sticker on the canister (placed by the seller) says decaf, but the canister itself and ingredient list indicate it has caffeine.1Disappointed to say the leastVery disappointed, I love their Ginger Peach Black Tea, however, I like green tea better than black tea, so I ordered this and to my surprise I can't barely taste the peach or the ginger, just green tea flavor. So disappointed!2
