Highly recommendedGreat stockings for air travel, just purchased a second pair. I travel to Europe a lot, and these are comfortable on a 11 1/2 hr flight. Easy to forget I have them on, and the benefit of the support (no swelling or minimal) is incredible. Keeping in mind these are support socks, they are fairly easy to put on, a little harder than regular socks, but that is to be expected. I am 5ft 8inc, medium size calfs, shoe size 9/9 1/2, and the Large fits perfect. Before buying these socks, I tried thicker and higher mmHg, good quality, but just to compact for me. Highly recommend these sock, and if you take care of your feet/toe nails, they will last for several trips. 5Ladies: cuts off circulation at bandMaybe they design these for mens bodies, but women tend not to have skinny muscular calves like men, so the tops cut into the soft skin painfully, even if the fit below is acceptable. Women have more sub-cu fat, but also seem to hold more fat around the knee than men. Even overweight men seem to have skinnier, bonier knees and less calf/knee fat.I'm not inclined to order a size up because if I find a comfortable band, then there won't be enough compression in the calf. Capeesh, TruForm? 1great for workgreat buy. they are a little bit darker than i expected. i am super white like a corpse so i thought they wpuld be more sheer and when they arrived they super brown until i put them on & they became more sheer. the sizing also advised i buy a large as my feet are an 8-9 shoe size but i asked my brother who is a nurse and he advised i get a medium... these are compression stockings so they are supposed to be tighter on you than normal stockings so a smaller size works fine. i am 6 months pregant & these help a ton with the swelling and look better than hospital grade white compression socks. If they were more sheer I would have rated 5 stars 4Zero Compression, Avoid Seller at all costs!Zero compression. These are basically VERY PRICEY just knee-high stockings. Top band is too tight. DO NOT ORDER. Seller will NOT take them back or issue a refund stating, "Unfortunately we are unable to accept returns of items that have come in contact with the skin. This policy is established in accordance with FDA regulated class 2 medical devices. We hope you understand this policy is in the best interest of our customers, as we would not want to restock, and resell an item with potential contact to a hazardous health condition. Please do not hesitate to a contact us with further questions." 1Painfully tightBy the end of the day I have moderate swelling in feet and ankles. I've been told by a health professional this is the result of weak valves in my lower extremities resulting from years of standing as an RN. I measured as directed and ordered up one size to make sure they would fit muscular calves. A few reviews mentioned that these stockings were easy to put on, but for me that was not the case. It was very difficult getting them over my ankles, even though I did this when I first got up and swelling was minimal. The worst part was the instantaneous pain behind my knees. I had the hose off within 5 minutes and stuck them in a bag and have not looked at them since then. The price was so tantalizing, but the product did not work for me. 3Disappointingly smallI've used Futuro stockings of this type for years but can no longer find the medium size I prefer. I hoped these would be the same, but sadly they are much smaller and tighter and only come up about halfway on my calf. Normally I release the foldover top by carefully cutting the stitching with a seam ripper. That makes them taller and keeps the top from being too tight as my legs swell throughout the day. I did that with this pair too so in their initial state they'd hardly have reached above my ankle. I have wide calves even before swelling so although the foot size is right, the height is not. I'd recommend these only to someone with short, narrow legs, or get at least one size bigger than you normally wear. On the good side, the fabric is strong and sturdy while still being sheer enough so they don't look like support hose at all. The compression factor is on the high side of the range. 3Great for a sheerI was looking for a light compression sock that would be sheer enough to wear with ballet flats. My last order (different brand) was too think and opaque, but these seem perfect. I worry a little about durability but only time will tell on that! 4Saved my trip.I got these to wear on a long flight to London from the US but tore my calf muscle the evening before my trip. I ended up wearing these every day. (Luckily I ordered two pair and they hand wash well and air dry overnight.) They provided enough support to make walking bearable and so I consider them a trip saver. Excellent quality and fit. I have a muscular 19 inch calf and the large fit perfectly with excellent support. 5great for long air flightsThese knee his are not too tight and not too thick, so comfort levels were good for my 11 hour flight. The color was fine and they seem very durable. Also they worked beautifully to prevent the usual swollen ankles for two days after arrival, so I'm very happy with the purchase. I did get the extra large and I think that was a good choice as they are a bit hard to pull on. I think the large would have become uncomfortable on such a long flight. I would definitely buy them again. 5Good Support and ComfortableThey give me good support. Putting them on was difficult until I found an easier way. I just have to fold the top down to a bit above the heel shapeand then get my toes in the correct space. I then pull up the rest of the stocking. If my toes area need adjustment I move my foot around on my carpet until the toe seam is in the right place. 5
