No leakingGot these to replace some typical urinals with snap lids, which leaked horribly if tipped. These have screw tops which seal well. You can turn them upside-down no problem. Of course the issue with a screw top is that it may be harder for an infirm person to deal with. It takes a bit of coordination to get the lid started, and attention to detail to screw it down. If they can do that, then it is perfect. The bottle is very sturdy and larger than the typical ones we had. The handle is sealed inside to make rinsing easier. They seem a bit pricey for plastic bottles, but I guess they were worth it.5Stand it straight up when it's not empty, I put mine in an open faced box to assure it won't tipThe opening is large and that's helpful when you're barely awake at night. It's not offensive looking and the lid screws on. HOWEVER, I wish the threading was a little better, you have to fumble around with it to get it properly threaded, but once threaded, it will not leak even if tipped upside down. The threading could stand with some improvement, is my only complaint.4Finally, leak proof urinals!Well, this was such a great find...leak proof urinals!! I was constantly buying those cheap, flimsy, 'just waiting to spill over because the top wasn't secure' pieces of junk!! They were a nightmare to travel with, and yes, I have had them open and spill in the car, ugh! I couldn't be more pleased to find these for my senior dad. No more worries of late night spills!! Woo-hoo! Very strong and a tight seal. Awesome price and fast delivery as well. Highly recommend5Sturdy handles and See-through ContainerI had purchased another urinal for which I very happy due to the fact that the handle was sturdy and secure. The problem with it was that it was turquoise in color making it basically impossible to determine urine volume. These three urinals are priced well for three; the container is see-through allowing for volume determination but, most importantly, the handle is constructed to prevent urine from entering. On less expensive urinals, urine or rinsing, water enters the handle as the urinal fills, and the handle becomes weakened, wobbly, with increased risk of torquing of the container and spillage. The screw on cap is an added bonus.5Well worth the costI bought these for my 88 year old father that stays with me quite often (I take care of my disabled mother and he wants to be with her as much as possible). Their room is 'close' to the bathroom, but not in their room. He has to relieve himself at least four times a night but has a hard time getting up that many times. This product was perfect. They are very thick (comparable to other ones I bought for him) and the best part of this product is the screw on lid, he accidentally dropped a previous (thinner urinal with a flip cap) and 'it' went everywhere...that's why I looked for a different one. My father is a very proud man and I know he was embarrassed by that, I will do all I can to make him feel comfortable and this did...well worth the money (just my two cents, but don't get the cheap ones, these are very good).5Great for travel emergencies.We first became acquainted with these bottles when my husband had surgery and could not get out of bed without a lot of help, think IV fluids constantly being infused! Once at home it was difficult getting up in the middle of the night and getting help to the bathroom. The hospital version was a make-do solution as long as a bucket to place them in was nearby. They were flimsy and easy to spill and/or leak. These bottles are a real upgrade, sturdy and leakproof. We plan to take them in our car and his truck for times when there is not a convenient place to stop, making travel stress free!5they are exactly as described.Very heavy duty, not like the milk carton ones you get in the pharmacy. Handles are sealed and heavy duty lid screws on tight. My only complaint is that I needed one, but this was only available in a three pack. As sturdy as these are, I'll probably never need the extra two.5A fair evaluation.I received this on 11/06/19 and have been using it for 9 nights. I purchased it mainly because of the screw-on-top that is also attached. I have had no problems with these bottles so I wanted to give my perspective on some of the criticism.1.) It's tiny. - It's a standard hospital 32oz urinal container. Yes it would have been nice to make a 48oz, for this reason I gave it 4 stars but it's not a deal breaker. I have learned to sense, by weight, when it's about 3/4 full and the next time I need to urinate, I simply use another one after all you get 3.2.) It tips over. - That's misleading! The container is not meant to be positioned vertically but horizontally as depicted in the advertisement. If you use it as illustrated you will not have this problem!3.) Screw cap flops around & gets in the way emptying & cleaning it. - The cap is attached to the bottle to keep it from being misplaced. I have not found this to be an issue. Each morning, I rinse the container out, then fill it with warm water, add a small amount of bleach and screw the cap back on. If you don't like the cap being attached, you can always cut it off.4.) Inside edge of opening is sharp. - The plastic edge of the opening is very thin. I could see where the manufacturing process could result in some overly sharp edges but the one I received was not an issue. When my skin touches the edge I don't feel as though I am going to experience a skin cut. It just feels like a thin piece of plastic.5). Cap should be attached to the handle and not the threads. - That's a personal design preference, I just need to urinate :)6.) Cap difficult to screw on. - After receiving the containers, I opened the bag and put them under the bed. Later that night when I got ready to use it for the first time (in the dark), I did have this problem. The next day after washing it, I played around with screwing it on and off and realized my mistake but it was a user mistake not a design flaw.7.) It s cheap. - It s PLASTIC! It s meant to be cheap.In summary, I took the time to respond to the mostly unjustified criticism because I depend on these reviews to purchase products. Construction is quite sturdy, made of heavy duty plastic. The screw on top sets it apart from all the other urinals and was a major selling point for me. I travel with it and was always nervous about the snap-on caps used by other manufacturers. I am very satisfied with it. That said, I only gave it four stars; because I felt manipulated into buying three when one would have sufficed. Had there been a comparable product available singly, I would have purchased it; but I could find none. My feeling is that selling them only in lots of three is just a way to pump up the price. It would be fairer and less irritating to the buyer to sell them individually and let those who might need multiples buy additional units.4
