not the one for menot a fan of this brew. i enjoy dark roast coffees. the flavor profile of this is very weak, yet burnt. the price is good, however i enjoy SOLIMO french roast is much better (not starbucks, but definitely worth the money), while the SOLIMO dark roast is my favorite for the money: dark like french/italian roast styles however a much richer, broader flavor profile (great body).... again imho2Great Flavor at a Modest PriceLike many, I've had K-Cup horror stories galore, including cups that don't work, leaking cups, cups with hardened coffee in it, etc. In the morning especially I just want a coffee that tastes decent, is dark and strong, works consistently, and also one I'm not paying a huge price for because it has some name brand stamped on it (My son MUST have Starbucks Breakfest Blend, which is not cheap). So, after going through a plethora of dark coffees of smaller (and less expensive) brands, I finally found one that delivers consistent quality and good flavor at a decent price.The flavor is decent. I am not a coffee expert, but I can taste the difference between crap and decent. Is this Starbucks/Dunkin' Donut level flavor? No, but it's not far off from it. The cup also WORKS all the time. I've never had a cup plug up or drain super slow. I've never had a cup with grinds in it. It just is predictable and efficient in the way it works. Taste wise, you'll get the dark and strong coffee taste. Not watery, but not too overpowering either. In fact, it's more like a strong medium blend then a true 'bite you back' dark roast. However, the price point is fantastic, and the quality is there. So...buy with confidence.5Nice and strong, just the way I like it.My very first thought upon drinking my first cup was, wow, this tastes like Navy coffee that I drank on ships in the late 1960s. That stuff was black and strong, and I learned to love it. However, for coffee in my home, I didn't think it was quite what I wanted although I already knew I preferred a robust Italian roast. So after finishing my first box, I tried a highly rated French roast, and it's good, but after a few days of it, I began craving this Italian roast, so I ordered more, and it will be my staple for a while. The only other k-cup coffee that I've found that can rival it is Eight O'clock's Italian roast which usually costs a lot more. If I see it on sale, I'll buy a few boxes, but that's never enough, and I end up coming right back to Victor Allen's version. Naturally, coffee tastes can vary widely from one coffee-drinker to another so what I like, you may hate, and vice versa. However, for me, this one does the trick, and I'll stick with it unless Amazon comes up with something better.5BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCKVictor Allen Italian roast coffee is the best bang for your buck that I've found with k-cups. A great tasting strong (but not to strong) flavorful coffee. It's not quite as strong as say Starbucks regular roast but not far off. I compared it to two other brands as attached in the pics, both out performed in every aspect. This was a double shot off of my Keurig, you can still see the yellow in the bottom of my cup, not so with the other two. I can celebrate that this was the last pod of the box I bought. This was more like a breakfast roast.1Damaged and contaminated K Cups In the Two Case ShipmentUntil now I've had good success with the product. The latest shipment of two boxes contained damaged and contaminated K cups. The boxes were secure so I have to assume the issue occured at the factory. Regardless, I have discarded the two boxes of 160 k cups and discontinued my subscription. I will only purchase K cup coffee from Sam's Club or BJ's Club from this point forward.1Perfect brewSo glad to see this coffee available on Amazon. Will certainly continue to order.5Even Better Than My Regular Brand!I m not venturing out much these days, the situation being what it is, so you can imagine my disappointment when I visited my local grocery store to find that they out of my favorite coffee! I don t buy the high-end, ultra expensive coffees, not that I could not afford to, but I prefer as much value for my money without compromising what I like. I ve been drinking coffee for 40 plus years, and my taste is for strong, bold but smooth coffee. The Italian Roast is my favorite, and I have found a new favorite! This coffee provides exceptional flavor, cup after cup! The K-cups are well designed and work perfectly in my Keurig machine! The flavor of this coffee is even better than my regular brand, and it is $2 cheaper for exactly the same number of units! Not to mention, free delivery! This is my new favorite, and I am very satisfied with the product and Amazon s skillful and fast delivery! Bottoms up!5
